Chapter 99
Ever since Grace was thrown out of the house by Will.
She spent the past few days in a hotel as she didn’t have anywhere to go.
Grace felt heartbroken when Will told her that he never wanted to see her again.
She didn’t understand, she used to be the love of Will’s life, how come she was replaced by an ordinary woman now?
Grace couldn’t stop thinking about it.
“It’s not fair to me, it’s not fair.” Grace yelled out loud, she was getting so raged.
She was devoured by envy and hatred.
Grace then grabbed her car key, rushed out of the door and drove to Emma’s address immediately.
She had to meet Emma face to face.
Grace followed the address the private investigator sent to her. She was racing during the whole trip.
“You’re not getting rid of me easily, William Stewart. Let me pay your beloved ex-wife a visit before I’m gone.” Grace mumbled to herself while she was driving.
She finally got to the building where Emma lived, and was waiting for Emma to show up at the parking lot.
But she eventually lost patience.
Grace couldn’t wait any longer, so she sneakily followed someone lived here with a security pass card to get into the building.
Emma was on her maternity leave, since there was only week before her due date.
She heard of someone knocking on the door.
“Who is it?” Emma was getting a hard time to stand up from the couch by herself.
Emma got no reply, she opened the door naturally, unprepared.
Emma saw Grace was standing there, she was shocked.
“What do you want?” Emma was somewhat panic.
“You don’t invite me in? or you want me to make a scene in the corridor.” Grace was condescending, even though she had absolutely nothing after leaving Will.
Emma opened the door further, and she didn’t say anything to Grace.
“Nice apartment!” Grace got into Emma’s apartment, pretended to look around.
“Why are you here?” Emma asked cautiously.
“If you were here to talk about Will, then don’t even get started, because I have nothing to do with him now.” Emma continued before Grace replied.
“Nothing to do with him? You’re pregnant with his child.” Grace said bitterly.
“You steal Will from me, you tricked Will to be pregnant first, and now seeing another man while still carrying Will’s baby, you tramp…” Emma slapped hard on Grace’s face.
A handprint was left on Grace’s cheek. She couldn’t believe what just happened.
Then before Grace realized, another big slap was landed on her cheek as well.
“The first one is for you calling me tramp, and for the record, it’s you stealing Will from me, he and I were officially married back then; the second one is for you framing me in front of Will. We’re even now. NEVER EVER show up in front of me, or I won’t be this nice anymore.” Emma walked towards the door.
Grace clearly didn’t expect Emma to be this fierce like this. Deep down in Grace’s mind, Emma was still a pushover like before.
Emma opened the door to signal Grace to leave, she was facing Grace who was inside, so she didn’t see Will was already standing outside of the door.
Grace saw Will was here, she was shocked. She didn’t know that Will already found Emma.
Emma was surprised, as she didn’t expect Will to show up by her door after what happened a couple of days ago.
Will, was stunned as well, but he figured it out soon enough.
The private investigator was already hired by someone else before him to spy on Emma, now it looked like that person was Grace.
He saw Grace’s face was red and swollen, he kind of got the idea what just happened.
Emma spoke up first, “what are you doing here, to save your Cinderella like last time?” She asked Will sarcastically.
“Emma, I’m sorry about what I’ve done to you. But from now on, I’ll always on your side.”
Will continued, “Grace, I really underestimated you.”
“Will, I…” Grace was still trying to justify what she did, but Will wouldn’t buy it this time.
“I’ll mail the divorce paper to you within this week, and I don’t want you to be around Emma ever again.”
Grace was reluctant to leave, she tried to grab Will’s arm, but instead, Will slammed the door really quick.
Will turned around and saw Emma was already sitting on the couch.
Emma talked to Will without watching him, “Show yourself out…”
“Please!” Emma added.
Will walked slowly toward Emma.
“Emma, you could do whatever you want to me later, but now I cannot leave, you seem like approaching your due date. I won’t leave you alone.”
Emma saw Will was determined; she didn’t want to argue with him anymore.
“I’m tired. Help yourself out.”
She went to her bedroom to take a nap, since dealing with Grace and Will made her exhausted.
She drifted off really fast.
Emma woke up after about an hour, and she smelled something really good.
Emma followed the smell to the kitchen sneakily. The food was on the table already.
Emma felt a bit dizzy. She turned around; and vaguely saw a man in the kitchen. And the man in the kitchen also saw her coming out. It was an Asian man, about 6 feet tall.
Emma was confused, “excuse me, who the hell are you?”
The man looked at her back and smiled, “You must be Mrs Stewart.”
“By the way, here’s my business card.” He added.
“Ty Lung.” Emma took his card.
“You are a Michelin-rated chef?! I couldn’t afford it.” Emma was surprised.
“And I am not Mrs Stewart.” Emma added.
“No worries, you don’t need to pay me. Will called me to prepare dinner for his love.”
The door suddenly opened, Will was coming back from the grocery store, with two bags on his hands.
“Oh, you get up. How’re you feeling?” Will looked at Emma.
Emma took a glance at the chef, and said nothing.
“Ty, I bought everything on your list.” Will said.
“Especially the vinegar from your hometown, ZhenJiang.” Will added.
“Are you sure it’s the right one?” Ty asked.
Will picked up the bottle to show Ty.
“Not the brand I always use, but it’ll do the trick. Now let the magic begin.” Ty walked towards the kitchen, and closed the door.
“You don’t have to do this.” Emma looked at Will, and walked towards the couch.
Before Will said anything, Emma felt her baby was kicking.
Will noticed Emma might not feel well, he went up and tried to help her sit down.
But his hand was stopped by Emma, “this baby is not a Stewart, I can take care of it on my own. You can leave with your fancy chef now.”
Will was stunned, he felt like a punch on his chest.
Will took a deep breath, “I’m not going anywhere.”
“The baby is coming soon; I’m not leaving until you give birth.” Will said firmly, “I’ll give you both the best.”
Emma tried to claim again that she would take care of the baby by herself.
But just then, the door bell rang.
