I found myself feeling even more agitated with Rex, the man who just made feel nothing but intense anger, immediately Diana left, I landed a hard punch on his face, until his mouth bled.
" How could you threaten me like that, using my pack members and my woman as a scape goat?” I roared, clearly agitated.
I noticed he coughed some specs of blood, before he came closer to me, plastering a smirk, he then wiped the blood using his hand, before he said.
" Wow, Raph… Raph, I was never aware that love could make you lose your guard”
“don't you dare, talk to me like that, remember that you are still under my leadership” I barked, with evident rage in my voice.
" You need to be on guard, let's forget about these stuffs, don't act all alpha on me here Raph” he said while waving his hand in air, I then went to sit on the couch, before I poured a cup of red wine, before I took a sip, allowing the stench to pass through my gullet.
" I can't wait, when I'll eventually see you with a mate” I said sarcastically.
" I already have one” he said gently, while plastering a smile, I was shocked by his blurted words, but I just decided to keep a nonchalant face.
" Then where is she?” I asked, before taking a sip of my drink.
" Or where is he?” he said, having a smirk evident on his face, those words caught my attention, I immediately searched his face, to see whether he was joking or not, but rather, that curved lips, never left his face.
" You can't be serious, right?”
" You know I have always been serious, my mate is a he” he said excitedly," and he's just so perfect” he added.
" That's what all mates say to their soul mates” I said sarcastically.
" Let's just cut the shit already, what were you talking about, lord Richard?” I asked, he then sat down, before he stared at me.
" I was walking through the paths, I then heard approaching steps, only to see Lord Richard was right in front of me, looking so deadly, I thought I was going to be killed, but he didn't, rather, he told me to give you a vital message, which was to inform you, that he's coming to take revenge” Rex said gently, he was already trembling, I know he is just acting it up because that's how he has Always been.
“When was that?” I asked, still keeping my stern look.
“It was last week " “And you never told me about it”
" how the fuck, did you want to me to tell you about you, when you are busy fucking your mate” he said clearly agitated, which made me had the raw land a punch on his face.
" Control your tongue, fucker, or Else “.
“You will make me bleed? “ He put a finger on his hand before he continued, "I like the sound of that ".
“Since you can't be serious for once in your Life, I'll be leaving for a hunt" I said, before I stood up, heading straight to the forest, I took graceful strides, feeling the cold air that hit my body, it was long that I had transformed.
My mind wandered to what Rex had said, could it be that I needed to be more serious than I was, could it be that, I have to give more effort in protecting my pack members?
I then noticed that the place was oddly silent, the birds were no longer chirping, the trees were no longer shaking their leaves, the rodents, were not sweeping their tiny feet.
I closed my eyes, trying as much to concentrate on my environs, inhaling any unhealthy scent, but there was nothing, the place continue being silent as always, it brought cold shivers down my spine.
Not until I heard, sounds of footsteps approaching, I turn right, but there was no one there, I turned left, the same thing.
"Who's there?” I shouted to the thin air.
" I'm here”I then heard a deep baritone voice that echoed, making me cold shivers ran down my spine, it was no one else but Lord Richard.
" How…are you a…live” I stuttered, I couldn't find my voice, I stared at his pale skin, his silver eyes, his red lips, he hovered his head with a dark hat, and covered his body with a dark Cloak.
I tried to stop looking at his deep black eyes, but it was like I was petrified, I just couldn't dart my eyes from his presence.
" Why…are you back?” I asked, he had that smirk on his face.
" You don't need to look at me that way because you and Rowland, mated, all on the full moon, you brought back, and for that, I'll appreciate you with some words of gratitude” he said gently, which made furrowed my brows, how could that happen, there must be an explanation to that, but who will give me the explanation that I wanted.
" For that, I'll appreciate you, I'm warning you, that….” he pursed, in a Swift second, he was beside me, licking my neck, I bit my lip, suppressing the groan that was threatening to escape because I want to shout I wish to scream at the top of my lungs.
“That you will beg for dead, but you won't get one, both your Blood at that, Rowland will make me unstoppable, and I'll be rules over vampires and wolves" he said gently, but with so much mischief, I found myself holding my breath, I was not ready for this" fuck I'm not ready for this shit” I found myself feeling so exasperated, it took a lot from me, I tried as much to keep a calm expression, but I couldn't, that's when I noticed that he was no longer there, the place was silent.
I started walking back home, my legs were weak, my thoughts were covered with his face and appearances, I found myself trembling in fear.
When I reached home, I sat down on the couch, reminiscing about what just happened, it made me petrified, my body feeling tired, that's when I noticed Diana walked in a young lady besides her, I noticed it was the fugitive that had under our custody.
When I noticed the small child, she was covering her face from my presence, she was trying to hide her face from me, her Small hands, kept on fidgeting with her skirt, her eyes dart to different directions.
" What are you doing with this child?” I asked her, she immediately hid the child behind her, like a mother attempting to protect her child.
“She needs help, she was brutalized by the pack members”.
" For crying out loud, this child is a fugitive, can't you see?” I stated clearly irritated, she immediately started sobbing, I regretted for shouting at her, but I can't help it, especially when she has been bought here.
“Sorry I can't do this, I can't do this” I started talking out of context, which made her, furrowed her brows.
“What are you talking about?”she asked, which made stared at her, I don't even know how to start explaining this, the whole thought of how I saw Richard, lingered in my memory.
I took a mouthful of air because I needed to get my shits together. She then came close to me, before she sat close to me, she cupped my cheeks, which made me stared at her, I Don't want anything to happen to her. I hate to look this vulnerable in front of her, I'm an alpha and I need to protect my Luna from any harm.
" What is wrong, I know something is bothering you” she asked soothingly, I wanted to reply to her, as my eyes immediately darted to the child was standing beside her.
“Why did you bring her Here?” I asked.
" I saw her alone And lonely, that's why I brought her here” she replied gently, before she held my hand so firmly.
" How could you do that, did you who she is?” I barked.
“She's a mermaid," she said gently.
" So you knew, yet you brought her…”
" Just stop it, please, you are scaring the poor. Child, don't you know that this child, only wanted a home, someone who will accept her for who she is, or isn't that what you do here?” she said, she was right about her words, but I don't accept people like her, I have always accepted rogue wolves but not people like her.
“Just give me a break Diana, I need to think" I said to her, before I stood up, heading straight to my room, I started pacing back and forth, I'm not getting my shits together, I can't believe I just shouted at Diana, I'm an Alpha and I won't be able to do this on my own, I need to get some advise from poeple around me, someone who will help me get through this.
