Chapter 21
**Chapter 21**
***Allister***
*“You fucking asshole! I’ll kill you for this! How dare you try to harm my mate!”*
Upon hearing his words I froze in place and looked at him in shock before looking over at Nerissa wanting to see if I heard him right, not wanting to believe it, but she didn’t say anything. She wasn’t denying it.
Before I could react, I was pushed down to the ground, and a hard kick connected with my cheek. Rage boiled inside me as the will to survive rose up, snapping me out of my shock, finally able to fight this male off.
I tossed him off of me and we both got to our feet quickly, growling at each other. We charged towards each other at the same moment, bodies colliding as fists were slammed hard anywhere we could find an opening to lay down a hard punch.
He was strong, I would give him that, but I wasn’t afraid. No, I was born a warrior, a demon king, one that many feared. I stepped back and kicked him in his side, making him groan from the impact.
That’s it, I won’t go easy on you. I smirked as I thought that to myself. I watched as his face twisted in pain for a moment. He was fast to recover though as he charged me with a loud roar sounding from his chest. I moved to the side, avoiding his advances. The words he said fueled my will to hurt this male. I moved and threw my right fist only to hit his shoulder as he moved fast, just not fast enough.
I hissed when he managed to land a punch to my stomach. In the next moment, we were both back on the ground again, tossing and turning, fighting each other like there was no tomorrow.
I could taste the iron tang of blood in my mouth from my busted lip, but I didn’t care. It would heal fast.
We were wrestling, not caring where we hit each other as long as the punches were hard and did some damage. I was happy to see that his lip was busted and bleeding as well which gave me the will to fight him even harder.
Finally, I got him where I wanted, and looked down at him for a mere second. I prepared myself to hit this asshole’s face when two sets of rushed footsteps got within earshot and in the next second two figures appeared next to us.
“Alpha!”
“My Lord!”
The two voices sounded at the same time, making us both stop fighting and look up at them, growling, as we were still thirsty for each other’s blood.
“What?!” we both asked at the same time as we looked at our warriors, making them flinch slightly from the anger in our voices.
The two warriors looked over at each other, silently speaking with their eyes. It only made me more annoyed so I bellowed angrily, “Say what the fuck you wanted to say! I don’t care who speaks out first, just get it over with already!”
Suddenly, I was pushed off of the male I had been holding down with my body and he stood up and looked over at his warrior. “What is it, Ryder?”
I stood up, and moved closer to my warrior, about to ask him what was so important that they got in between my fight with the dragon. The words that came from the warrior named Ryder made me freeze in place.
“Nerissa is gone. I noticed someone carrying her away while I was fighting with this warrior here, so I couldn’t reach her in time.” Ryder spoke with an urgency as if he failed his Alpha and his—our mate.
My eyes met the other Alpha’s and we both scanned the area, looking for Nerissa.
I approached Ryder, growling as he looked at me. “Who took her? Which way did they go?” My body was shaking with pure rage.
“I don’t know. I couldn’t see who it was, only that he was definitely a male,” Ryder answered as he looked over at his Alpha. “I am sorry, Alex, I wish I had seen them in time so I could have reacted sooner.”
Alex, the other Alpha, took a deep breath. I noticed he was struggling to keep his anger at bay. “I know, Ryder, just point in the direction where they were the last time you saw them,” he told him.
Ryder pointed towards the area and not a second passed before Alex and I both sprinted in the same direction.
