Chapter 46

**Allister POV**

I was sitting down by my desk, going through the map once again, alone, when the door opened to my office room, making me rise up my head to see who dared to walk inside without asking me first.
Rhea stood at the doorway, looking around the room and before I could ask her what she is doing here she walked straight towards me.
“Have you seen Warit?” she asked me the moment she got closer, making me raise up my eyebrow, looking at her, hoping she would leave me to my own planning.
“I have sent him to go get Emily,” I answered, looking back down on the map, hoping she got her answer and would leave me alone now.
“Emily? Who is Emily?” Ignoring my action, she asked the question making me realize that I will not get to perfect my plan in peace anytime soon.
Exhaling deeply, I looked up at her once more, asking her in an annoyed tone, “Why?”
Her eyes narrowed as she heard my tone and question, saying, “I want to know.”
Rolling my eyes as I could clearly see jealousy rising inside of her eyes, no matter how hard she was trying to hide it, I said, “A friend and a best friend to Nerissa. Now if that is all, please let yourself through the door and leave me to do my work, thank you.”
Ignoring her once again as I said my piece, I looked down once again to the map, looking at all the roads and routes I found valuable for my plan to succeed when Rhea had a different plan as she placed her hands on top of my desk, leaning forward, piercing me with a cold look of her narrowed eyes, she opened her mouth to speak but the rush of footsteps sounded as they entered inside the office, making her successfully distracted as we both turned towards the door, finding Warit there, holding Emily’s hand.
Rhea was silent as she looked at them as I stood up with a smile, greeting them both as they slowly approached Rhea and me.
“Emily, lovely to see you again. I hope you were well cared for and protected while we were gone.” I said to her as she smiled at me, nodding her head as she answered in a warm tone, “Yes I was and I wanted to thank you so much for everything, though Warit didn’t want to answer me about Nerissa...” she said, looking around and behind me, searching for her, she continued, “I...don’t see her. Where is she? I missed her a lot. Is she ok?” she rambled fast, asking questions, not noticing Warit, and my eye contact as we exchanged silently.
Smiling, she looked at me, waiting for my answer. But another set of approaching footsteps made our conversation cut off as we all looked at the doorstep as Reynard showed his presence in the now crowded office.
His eyes landed on Emily who gasped the moment she saw him, taking a step back as she bumped into my tall frame, making me grab her shoulders, trying to calm her down as I noticed how distressed she was by Reynard’s presence.
“Y-you!” Emily exclaimed in a shaky voice, turning her head looking at Warit and me, asking, “W-what is he doing here? He shouldn’t be here!”
Reynard looked at her with hard eyes as he said, “Good to see you too again, Emily.”
Emily turned her head towards him, looking at him with her eyes narrowed, saying, “You pathetic pig! How dare you?!” 
She jerked out of my grip as she rushed towards Reynard, making me jump after her fast as I managed to stop her surprised attack.
“Let go of me, Allister! I’ll kill him! He tried to hurt my friend!” She yelled out at me as her body kept tossing in my strong grip as her words made a growling sound out from my chest making me look towards Reynard with a murderous stare.
Reynard chuckled nervously as he said, “I would never hurt her, Emily. It was just a misunderstanding.”
“Liar!!” Emily screamed at him, making me pull her away further as I gave her to Warit, I asked looking at Reynard, “Care to explain what she is talking about?”
He swallowed thickly and I could see he was searching for an explanation, but Emily cut him off saying, “Where is Nerissa? She can confirm my words and say what that pig tried to do to her.”
Low growls continued on rumbling out from my chest as I took a threatening step towards Reynard, asking him, “I will find out the truth one way or another and trust me if you do not start speaking now, the other way will be much, much painful for you.”
Slowly walking like a predator toward him, I gave out a cold warning as every fiber of my body was screaming to me to kill him.
Clenching his fists, he raised up his head as he looked me in the eye, trying to act brave, but I could smell the stench of his fear going off from him as it reached my nose.
“It was an honest mistake that I regret doing. O-one night I-I got a little too much to drink, and I t-tried to k...” he spoke slowly as I was slowly nearing him, asking him, “As you tried what?”
He swallowed thickly before answering the question, saying, “I tried to kiss her.”
A loud growl came out of my mouth as at the same time Emily yelled out, “Liar!”
My movement was fast as I caught him without his guard on, grabbing him by his neck as I picked him up, pressing hard into the wall as the fire in my veins could be seen through my skin, wanting me to burn him here and now.
His eyes grew wide when he saw my veins, feeling the power of my aura so hostile towards him, he tried to speak as he was struggling under my strong grip, saying, “Y-you need me.”
The anger ran all over me as I tossed him across the room, making him hit the other side of the wall, making a huge dent in it as Reynard’s body fell down on the floor.
Slowly, with growls still coming out from my chest, I walked slowly towards Reynard’s body as he was coughing while laying down on the floor, holding on to his neck, trying to catch his breath.
I said as I crunch down the moment I reached him, “You are lucky for now that I need you but rest assure soon as that is done” I looked him deeply in the eyes, smirking while the painful thoughts I had in my mind that I wanted to do to him, played inside my head, I continued as I could see fear clear in his eyes, “You will wish that Alex has killed you when he had the chance.”
Two guards walked inside as I stood up, saying to them, “Take our guest here to the pit. I am sure he will love it there until we leave.”
Each guard grabbed Reynard by his arms, pulling him up and dragging him away as they followed out my orders.
Taking deep breaths, I managed to calm myself down a little before I turned back towards Emily, Rhea, and Warit.
Warit let go of Emily who silently looked my way, asking me with her eyes a question I hated to answer but I knew she deserved to know so I forced myself to speak the words that pierced through my heart, “Nerissa is not here.”
Taking a step towards me, she placed her hand on my forearm, making me look at her as she asked me, “Where is she?”
The thoughts of Alex being near Nerissa made a growling sound out from my chest, startling Emily as she slightly jumped away, making Warit rush to her to calm her down as I answered, “Alex took her with him.”
Knowing and almost hearing her questions that flood through her mind, I continued, “He got to her faster and freed her from the Dark Fae world. They were performing some kind of ritual with dark magic but no I don’t know what it is about.”
She gasped as she heard the news, turning around in Warit’s arms and burying her head into his neck as Rhea hissed, making me snap my head in her direction, looking at her with narrowed eyes, giving her a clear warning to behave well.
A moment later, Emily moved away from Warit as she looked at us all, asking, “So what do we do now?”
Walking back towards my desk, I looked for a moment with a sharp look at the map, deciding on the plan that formed in my head, playing it all over and over again before I said, “Now we will use one brother against the other to lure the other out and get what we are looking for.”
The three of them looked at me, nodding their heads as Warit asked, “So how do we do this?”
Rhea moved closer to him, while Emily silently waited for me to lay out the plan.
Pointing at the marker I have put on the map, I started to share my plan with them and what their roles are in it as they silently took every word I said until I finished.
“That is a good plan, cousin,” Warit said with a wide grin as his eyes were glinting, making me smirk at him, knowing what he was feeling.
Rhea nodded her head, saying, “Yes, that could work.”
Feeling glad that they approved of my plan, I looked at Emily who was silent for a moment, thinking about something before her eyes looked up at me, asking me, “Do you plan to kill him?”
I looked at her for a moment in silence, debating should I lie or tell the truth. Choosing the right approach I said, “Yes, I do.”
