Chapter 42

~Logan Pov~
He placed call to the restaurant to order Mia's meal the moment he stepped out of the room. He didn't want to return to Mia's room until her meal has arrived and also, he needed to give her some breathing space.
He walked to the balcony, Two chairs and a table was arranged properly. He drew out a chair and sat down still trying to wrap his head around the new changes.
How did vena Escaped the wrath of her mother? How come she isn't bothering her? Something doesn't seems to add up. I need to search for her to know if she's Dead or still alive. I really hope she's dead to avoid risking Vena's life once more.
"Boss, The delivery is here."His bodyguard called from behind holding the pakage on his hand.
"Come place it right here. Arrange it properly, I'll be back shortly."He ordered and made for Mia's room.
He walked into the room to found her sleeping but, something was off. She looks so restless as she was almost shivering in her sleep and sweats were all over her body. "Is she having a nightmare?"He thought aloud as He stood watching her. I. hope she's alright. it still felt like a dream I'm seeing my baby again. I remembered how she had always told me "When i Grow up, I'm gonna become Cute Berry's Wife And Cute Berry Is gonna be my Husband too. How time Flies..
~Mia's Pov~
"How have you been, Daughter?"A woman who looks aged but, still looking so beautiful asks with a sarcasm Smile on her face.
Mia stares at the unfamiliar face and didn't bother saying a word as she tried walking away.
"Don't move an inch, Daughter!"She ordered. Mia's feets came to an abrupt stop immediately as though a spell was casted on her.
"I've given you enough space, right? I can see you're no longer pure. Something you denied me off, you gave it to another!"Mia became frightened at the way her white eyes became extremely dark as she vent out those words.
"I'm back Vena! Your worst Nightmare is back to hurt you....Back to hurt you...."The words kept echoing as Mia jerked up from her sleep breathing heavily and sweats allover her face rolling down her neck. What was that?
Mia thoughts where occupied with the lady she had just encountered in her dream. "Who's she? And why was she calling me this same name that strange guy has been calling Me?"She becamed extreamely troubled.All this while, she never noticed Logan presence.
"Where you having a nightmare?"Logan suddenly asked making her flinged in fright. "When did you come in without me knowing!"Mia asks still feeling frightened.
"I've been here for a while and saw you looking so restless in your sleep. I didn't want to wake you up so, I was just waiting for you to wake up."Logan explains making Mia to be a little relaxed.
"So tell me, what was the dream all about?"Logan asks. Mia gave him a suspicious look without saying a word. Logan immediately understood she doesn't want to share it with him.
"It's alright if you don't wish to share, Vena. I do understand you still finds it hard to trust me."Logan said feeling quite hurt. He knows it isn't her fault. if she'd remembered him, things would have been much easier for them.
"Mister can you please call me Mia? That vena sounds odd and Crippy to me.I think that name is tryna bring badluck to me, please"She plead on remembering that's the same name the woman had called her in her dream.
"No matter how you try to deny it, Vena is your name and that would never change."Logan said with a sign. "Come, Your meal is set" He said and walked out knowing Mia will be behind him.
He drew out the chair and motion Mia to take a seat.Mia's couldn't take her gaze out of the scumcious meal arranged in front of her. It made her mouth watered.
"Do you remember this was your best meal?"Logan said watching her every move.
"Best meal?"Mia asks nonchalantly. She never remembered this to be her best meal.Nevertheless, she wouldn't deny how eye catchy it is. Hope it'll taste good? She thoughts as she just couldn't wait to dig into it.
"Yes vena. It was what you love eating whenever we are out together."Logan explains. Mia scoffs, pick up her cutlery and digged into her meal as Logan kept watching her.
"Mister, This isn't my favorite meal, But, it tastes good anyway."She shrugs and scoop more into her mouth.
"What! that's not possible Vena. You'd go any length just to convince me to get you your favorite meal."Logan stated as he just can't believe Mia forgot her favorites meal too.
"Uhm mister, Can you at least allow my meal to digest properly?"She rolled her eyes.
"It's alright, I'll just leave you alone to enjoy to your fill.Once you're done, you know the way back to your room."He muttered with a sign and stood up from his seat.
"Are you leaving me in this house alone?"Mia's eyes widen in surprise with her mouth filled up.
"I'm not leaving you Vena!" He snapped. "Not anymore. I just need to give you some quiet time alone. I'll be back later to check up on you. Don't worry, Two of my guards would be here to take care of your needs."He stated and without another word From Mia, He stormed off.
Mia stared at his retreating figure and signed loudly. "I'm i being unfair to him? All he has ever done was to make me happy and all I could do in return was hurt him."She frowns picking some particles of her meal with her cutlery in a playing manner.
"Argh! How am I gonna be in this house alone?"She scrowled, stood up from her seat and stormed off to her supposed room. Immediately she got in, she fell face down on the bed muttering inaudible words to herself.
