Chapter 44

Logan Pov
Logan Got the call from one of his guys that Rukky has been kidnapped. He felt angry his plan had failed woefully. He decided to leave that aside for now and focus on Vena. Right now, his thoughts were only about Vena. He needs to help her regain her memories so they could catch up on all the time they spent apart from each other.
It's late already as he drove back to his penthouse. He actually attended a business meeting which he wasn't planning on attending thinking he'd be busy torturing Bryan's captive but, it turned out the other way round. If only Mia wasn't free with him around her, he won't had left for the meeting.
He parked and stepped out of his car with white packaging bags on his hands. He managed to close his car door with the side of his body. After that, he proceeded to the elevator which took him to the fourth floor.
After a ding sound,the elevator door slide open and he walked out. He walked straight to Mia's room and found his guards doing their jobs. One of them tried collecting the bags from him but, he stopped him and walked into the room as they shot the door behind him.
Mia who found it so hard to take a nap, Immediately flunged herself to a seating position the moment she found out it was him. She wouldn't deny the fact that she felt so lonely having no one to talk to. Earlier on, she had pulled the door open trying to start up a conversation with the strict bodyguards who only ignored her as though she wasn't referring to them. but the moment she'd asked for a glass of water, One quickly hurried off to get her a cup of water but still didn't utter a word to her. Mia hissed took the glass of water and stormed back into the room.
Darkness Of the night came by in no time which made Her had doubt if logan was gonna return after She'd been so rude to him. Seeing Logan before her made her happy as a smile crept into her lips.
Logan on the other hand felt delighted Mia actually missed his presence due to her reaction.
"How are you, Vena?" He asks and placed the bags on the bed close to her.
"I'm a little good as you can see. I actually thought you weren't gonna come back after my attitude to you earlier."Mia said with pouted lips as she kept eyeing the shopping bags placed before her.
"As you can see, I'm here now, okay? I could see your eyes lingering around those bags, they're actually yours I bought them for you, You can have them."Logan said with a sly smile. Mia couldn't help being surprised by his last words.
"Are you for real?"She asked still in doubt as she took a slight peek into one of the bags and found pretty designer wears.
"Of course Vena."Logan said with a chuckle at her facial expression.
"Wow, thanks for this. I do need them since I'm here with you now and didn't actually come with anything."Mia explains pulling out the pretty gowns, Trousers and tops, Heels, snickers and designer hand bags.
"Gosh, They are just too much mister. I'm sure they had cost a very huge amount of money. I don't want to be a burden to you."Mia said with a sign.
"Don't ever say that, Vena. you can never and would never be a burden to me, Vena. You need to look good for me. I'm trying to make sure you never remain the same way you were brought here! This is just the beginning of what I've installed for you. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day so, you need to sleep on time, okay?
"Really? Alright then, let me quickly arrange them in the wardrope before going to bed "Mia said and stood up trying to pick up some of the items but, Logan next word stopped her.
"Leave that vena. Before you'd woke up, you'd found everything neatly arranged."He said assurringly.
Mia felt reluctant at first but seeing the strict look logan was giving her, She needed to quietly obey him. She got into the bed and covered up herself with the bedsheets as logan stood watching her feeling so damn happy that he has finally gotten his child hood love back after Bryan took the first one from him.
"I won't ever forgive you Bryan Chapman for taking my Ex girlfriend from me and now, You've made the woman I cherished so much your s*x slave! I'll surely get you unaware, Bryan Chapman without you knowing what hit you."He Vowed As he watch her sleep soundly.
Zoe pov
Zoe blinked her eyes severally as all she could see was a plain white wall in front of her making her extremely confused. Her apartment wasn't painted all white so, where the HELL is this place?
She's feeling a lot of head ache as she tries lifting up her left hand to massage it alittle. She raised up the hand but, felt something strange pulling it back down and she immediately flipped her eyes towards the direction to found a drip connected to her hand and a machine which was beeping beside her which she never noticed earlier.
"How the hell did I get here?"She mutters. Almost immediately, the door was pushed opened as a lady with a white lab coat walks in majestically with a bright smile plastered on her face.
"Miss Zoe you're finally awake."The doctor beamed.
"And what do you mean by finally, Doc?"Zoe asks confused. Everything was still blurry to her.
"That's because you've been unconscious for a whole day, Zoe. Never knew you'd be awake this sooner due to the tests we conducted on you. Either way, I'm glad you're awake now."She explains with her smile permanently on her face.
"Really?" Zoe asks surprised. "How's that possibly? I didn't get into an accident or did I?"Zoe asks trying hard to remember what had happened to her but, it was all to no avail.
"Miss Zoe, are you trying to say you don't remember what actually happened to you at your house? Your gate keeper called the Ambulance used in picking you up from your house where the incident happened."
"My gate keeper? I seriously can't remember what happened to me and from what you've just explained, it happened right in my house! Please I need to speak to my gate keeper. I need to be discharged right now!"She chirped and forced herself up even though the doctor was trying to stop her from doing that.
"Miss Zoe, you're over stressing yourself by doing this. you need to relax more to recover fully."The doctor kept explaining but, it all fell on deaf ears as zoe pulls off the drip and flunged to her feet. She had almost lost her footing due to the dizziness that slammed her hard. She managed to balance herself and faced the doctor.
"Was my parents informed am here?"
"I think your gate keeper wasn't able to get through to them."
"Good! Lets go to your office so I'd clear off the bills."Zoe uttered and without giving the doctor a chance to go against her words, she hurried out of the room.
