Chapter 78

Mia's POV
The couple were in the car, on their way out as Bryan drove and mia was sitted on the passenger seat in the front
"You want to go try your wedding gown out?" Bryan asked
"Is it ready?" Mia asked him turning her head from her phone to look at him
"Yep"
"Did you check it out?" She frowned
"Yeah"
"Why? You're not suppose to see the bride on her wedding gown before the wedding" she whined and Bryan could not help but roll his eyes
"And I didn't see my wife on the wedding gown..I only saw the wedding gown"
Mia didn't hear anything else other than 'my wife'. She was blushing crazy and Bryan chuckled when he saw her blushing face. She cleared her throat and said softly
"You know, I never knew I would ever be this loved one day" she smiled at him
"Hm, me too but I'll like us to save this for our vows on our wedding day" he replied
"You want us to say our vows on the altar?" She asked with furrowed brows. He doesn't look like someone who would want to confess his feelings in long words to the world.
She saw Bryan shook his head "No. I want us to say our vows on our wedding night in our matrimonial bed" he grinned and mia blushed as she looked out the window. Bryan has a way of stirring her up inside
Soon they arrived at destination "This isn't the place we came last week" she said confused.
"Nope. This is my parent's house" Bryan replied as he came down to open the door for her.
"Bryan, why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I didn't plan it but my mom won't let me rest. She wants to meet her daughter in law" Mia smiled. Her mother in law loves her
"Let's go?" She nodded and took his hand.
Mrs Chapman saw them and couldn't wait to hug them so she walked over to and Mr Chapman followed. Bryan raised his brows, 'wasn't he suppose to be at the company?' He wondered
"Oh Mia, my Mia" she moved over to hug Mia first causing Bryan to scoff
"That's right". Now he came with a daughter in law for her, she doesn't acknowledge her son anymore. He walked ahead of them and when he got to his father,
He nodded at his father who replied with a nod as well.
Mrs Chapman kept talking and talking, she was excited. She didn't even let Bryan or Mr Chapman talk to her, main reason Bryan didn't want to bring her over all these while
"I prepared your favourite, Mia" she announced
"Oh, it's no longer my favorite" Bryan snort at her. But he was really glad his mom loved Mia
"Come Mia, come, come sit" she drew out the chair for Mia who looked over at Bryan and he understood her immediately and went over to sit beside her.
"Chicken" Mia's eyes twinkled making Bryan chuckle.
"Thank you" she smiled at both Mr Chapman and Mrs Chapman before she began eating
"So, Mia how are you? Hope the baby isn't stressing you out?" Mrs Chapman asked when she saw her husband open his mouth to say something.
"No, ma. I'm fine" she replied
"Do you need help in anything? Is Bryan treating you well?" She asked again. She won't give her husband the opportunity to ruin their meal today. Bryan could see what his mother was doing and didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Mia nodded "he is" she blushed
"I see"
Mr Chapman sighed, his wife has warned him not to ruin Bryan's mood or Mia's mood. And he doesn't plan to yet she won't allow him speak
"I wanted to ask for a favour, Mrs Chapman and Mr Chapman"
"Call us mom and dad. we are okay with it please" Mrs Chapman said and mia saw Mr Chapman nod in agreement so she said
"Okay, mom and dad"
Mrs Chapman smiled and asked
"What, what favour?" Even Bryan wondered what mia wanted to ask them that she couldn't just ask him. He would help her in anything
"I don't know if you'll be chanced by Friday night?" She paused waiting for their reply and Bryan frown. He could guess what she wanted to ask them
"Yes sure, we are free" Mr Chapman also nodded
"I would like us to go for Bryan's concert together on Friday night. You see, I've never been to a concert before and I'll feel lonely if he leave to go to the dance floor. I want to be with someone I could relate with when he is on stage" she explained
Bryan could understand her and was willing to beg his mom on her behalf. She really doesn't have any Friend or close relative. Before he could plead, he heard his father say
"You don't have to explain, we'll be there. We'll be there to keep you company" he replied.
Everyone was shocked but tried not to show it
"Thank you daddy"
"Thank you mom" Mia smiled
'You got to be kidding me!' Bryan mentally faceplamed.
After lunch, Bryan and mia were ready to leave but Mrs Chapman wasn't happy about that
"You could sleep over" she said to Mia but Bryan quickly rejected
"No mother, thank you very much. Mia also have to try out her wedding gown"
"But..."
"Bye mom" Bryan pushed Mia ahead of him. He does not trust his mom, she could easily convince the soft hearted Mia.
"You can come to visit at the mansion" Mia suggested but Mrs Chapman frowned
"Tell your husband to let me in"
Mia blushed "I'll talk to him"
"Thanks Mia" she entered the car Bryan had opened for her and they drove out.
Soon they were on their way to try out the gown
"Mia?" Bryan called the almost sleeping girl
"Hm"
"Do you know my parents have never come to watch me dance before?" Mia sat up right with curiosity asked
"Really? Why is that?"
"Dad never really liked the idea of me being a dancer. He wanted me to take over the company"
"But he accepted just now" Mia said with confusion written all over her face
"That's because you asked for the favour and not me"
"So they've never seen you dance before?" She asked again.
"No"
"Wow, I just added to your fans list, two extra fans" she grinned
"You mean three" he looked at her before turning his head back to the road
"Yes, three" including her.
When they got the shop, Bryan urged her to go try the gown out. She went in with two other ladies while Bryan sat down waiting as he operated his phone
"How did it go?" He asked when he saw her come out after a while
"Too tight. My tummy's coming out Bryan. We need to get this wedding done soon. I'm not sure I can walk with a big tummy" she complained and went to sit beside him placing her head on his shoulder. Since he had been nice to her, she noticed she had been acting like a baby around him, and he always do well to pamper her.
"You'll be fine, I'll ask them to do something to the gown" he said to her
"I've told them. Let's just go home now, I'm tired" she yawn and stood on her feet.
