Chapter 85

"I don't feel too good" Mia announced as she shifted in the car. Her words brought Bryan back from his daze. He was lost thinking about Raymond, just maybe he'll find love too just like him
"What? Are you hurt?" Bryan asked the girl who shifted again
"No, I just ahhhh" she screamed. Everyone in the car turned to her including Philip who was driving and Lincoln who was seated at the front passenger seat
"What's it, Mia?"
"My... God! Bryan" she held her stomach "I think it's the- ahhhhhhhh" she screamed
"...Baby!" She and Lincoln screamed together
Lincoln hit Philip as he shouted
"Hospital, hospital" Philip immediately stepped on it
"Hold on" Bryan said to the girl in pain, he didn't know what else to say or what to do
"I can't" she bit her lower lip
"Ahhh it hurts" she cried
"We'll be there soon, hold on" he pleaded
"Do something" she hit him on his thighs
"What, what can I do?" He asked really willing and ready to help
"Use your hands, damnit" she yelled and that was when Bryan remembered he had powers
He placed his palm on her stomach and began caressing it as the light shone through his palms. He really prayed it works but instead he heard an ear piercing scream
"Ahhhh stop, stop" Mia shouted and Bryan quickly took his hands away
"What?!"
"It isn't working ahhhh"
Bryan almost cursed his power for being useless at a time like this
"Drive faster Philip, drive!"
Soon they were at the hospital, thanks to Philip's great speed
Bryan, Lincoln and Philip were right outside the labour room
Mia's scream alone couldn't make Bryan sit. He was walking about. He wasn't sure he wanted them to have another kid, with the way his wife was in pain and there was nothing he could do about it.
Mr and Mrs Chapman rushed in and Bryan in relief a bit when he saw his mother. She came and hugged him,
"She'll be fine. It's what ever woman passes through when they want to give birth. A little bit more and the baby will be out" Bryan nodded
"I brought the baby things" Bryan nodded again. He wasn't sure he wanted to speak right now
Raymond came in too
After what felt like forever, there was silence and a cry of a baby. The door opened and the doctor stepped out
"It's a baby boy" he grinned and Bryan smiled
"My wife?" He asked. He was glad she was no longer screaming but he wasn't hearing anything and he doesn't want to not hear anything
"She's fine. She's a strong lady" and for the first time, Bryan shed tears
He sat down on the bench close to the room with his palm on his face
"She'll be moved to another room then you can go see your wife and baby" the doctor said before he left
"Wow man! You're a father now" Lincoln chuckled
"Congratulations" Raymond smiled
"Thanks man, I'll go see her now"
Mrs Chapman went about hugging everybody around. Her daughter in law and grandchild were both alive and well
"We should all go, I want to see Mia as well" she said happily
They all went to the room where she was and saw Mia with the baby in her arms. She stared at the man whose eyes were teary and smiled
'Your pain is my pain' she remembered the words he told her while they were at their honeymoon
She gestured for him to come and hold the baby and he did
"What should we name him?" He asked Mia but was staring at the baby in his arms. He was smiling brightly
"Well," her voice was a little hoarse since she screamed for long
"Since we were coming from visiting a certain someone in jail why don't we name him-"
"Hope it's not what I'm thinking you want to say?" Bryan asked with a frown but she shook her head innocently
"Okay, go ahead"
"We should just name him Logan"
"Mia...!"
One year later...
Bryan's POV
The mansion was filled with people around. Bryan had asked Mia to only invite a few close friends but the girl has gone to invite everyone on her contact list and she's a celebrity now since she married to one.
She has lots of friends now, Bryan was thanking his stars for holding the celebration at his former mansion where he first met Mia instead of their home. He can't let everyone know where he lives else they won't let him have peace.
He didn't blame the girl, she never had friends around so now she felt loved and now had a sense of belonging. She could now make friends
Today, Mr and Mrs Chapman had come for the celebration, Lincoln and Raymond too, Rose also, Rukky and her parents and every other new friends that Mia has made over one year
But that's not the issue right now, the main issue is
"Have you found him?" Bryan asked his wife who was running to meet him. They were both dressed beautifully and bright as a couple but their faces weren't bright at all
"No" she replied with a worried expression
"Check the yard and the garden" she said to Bryan who nodded and called
"Philip!"
"Sir!" Phillip instantly ran to him
"Ring the bell"
"Yes sir!" With immediate effect, Philip went out to ring the bell.
As soon the bell was rung, everyone scattered looking for just one little child.
'Where could he have gone to?!'
"Who ever sees him first should let the rest of us know" Bryan spoke through his walkie talkie. He was running downstairs to the yard while Mia was running upstairs
The maids, the guests, the bodyguards, parents, grandparents, everyone were searching for the little child
Mia's POV
Mia felt a wind push her to her former room close to Bryan's room and she opened the door. He can't be here right? She wondered.
She walked in quietly inside the room but couldn't find the boy there. She wanted to call him but decided to check the bathroom first. She entered the bathroom and saw the cute little boy in the bathtub
He turned to look at her when he heard the door opened
"Mama" he raised his hands at her to hold him and she sighed in relief
She took out her walkie talkie and announced
"Found him. Bathtub room number 2" and she heard him giggle.
"You don't know what you're doing to us by doing this every single time, Andre please stop disappearing like that" she said to the little boy as carried him, he didn't understand anything so he only giggled at her
Soon, Bryan came running in
"Where the hell were you?" Bryan complained as he pinched his cheek before carrying him from Mia causing the baby boy to chuckle and also speaking baby language that they could not understand
"Are you okay?" Bryan asked his wife when he saw the face she was making and Mia sighed
"What do we do about this? He can't keep disappear everywhere. Soon he'll disappear to a place we might never be able to find him"
Bryan looked at her and saw the worry on her face, he shook his head and smiled
"A mother will always find her child. Have you not noticed you're always the one to find him out first?" He asked her.
Looks like she had not noticed but whenever Andre disappear, her instincts always take her to where he was. Same with him, Mia always know where to find him.
"Your power is the one of the seeker" he winked and Mia rolled her eyes at him
"And even if you can't find him. He'll find you, a baby can't do with his mother. Andre will always come for you" they heard Andre blabbered nonsense and Bryan said
"See, he saids I'm right" Mia pinched him on his arm before walking ahead of them
"What if I'm not around?" She asked not looking back at them
Bryan frowned immediately "Where will you be going to?" He turned her to look at him
"Heaven?" She tilted her head and Bryan flinched her forehead
"Don't joke around Mrs Mia Bryan Chapman" and she blushed as they both walked downstairs with Andre in their hands
"Where did you find him?" Mrs Chapman asked the moment she saw her grandchild. She carried him from Bryan
"Are you okay my boy?" Mr chapman asked Andre who blabbered in his baby's
"He is alright" Bryan replied and that made everyone sighed in relief
"Shall the celebration begin?" Lincoln the M.C of the show asked
'Happy birthday
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you.....' they sang as they cheered Andre as he was helped to cut the cake and blow the candles
