Chapter 71

Mia's POV
On seeing Her face, Mia suddenly began having flashbacks as she saw everything which had happened. How her mother tried to kill her severally and how she had the accident that made her lost her memory
Flashback 1#
"Where are we going, mother?" Little vena asked as she stood up to follow her mother. Logan came out from his hiding place since they were both playing hide and seek before her mother came.
"You don't have to know, Vena. When we get there you'll know" Robina replied and held her hands
"Can I come along?" Logan asked but Robina quickly rebuked him and said
"You stay put Logan. If I need you, I'll call you. This is a journey for Vena alone"
when vena saw Logan's sad face, she said "Don't worry Cute berry when I come back, we'll play together, okay?" And little Logan nodded and waved her goodbye
Vena and Robina walked a long distance before Robina ordered vena to enter the car before them and she did. Robina got into the driver seat and ignited the car
They kept on driving really speed until Robina disappeared from the car leaving Vena inside. Vena kept screaming from shock and fear.
Robina stood far away and began to speak spells to make sure that the car crash and Vena dies. Soon the car crashed with Vena still inside
When she got close, she saw that the girl was no longer breathing, she was dead. She smirked before disappearing from sight.
News got to everyone that she was dead. Logan went over to the hospital and saw his Vena's dead body. He was so sure that it was Robina because everyone said that she was the only one found inside the car. He was so heartbroken, his parents cold see it, so they took him far away from anything that has to do with Vena
Vena opened her eyes and saw herself in a hut, old and wrecked. She looked around and found a boy there with her
"Hello, who are you?" Vena asked
"Who are you?!" The boy asked back. He has been here for a long time so if there's anyone to ask that question, it was him.
"I'm Vena, you?"
"My name is Bryan" the little boy replied
"Bryan, what are you doing here?" She asked as she came down from the bed and walked over to where Bryan was sitting
"I don't know. I woke up and found myself here" he replied
"Okay. How do we get out?" Vena asked the boy.
"There's a door but it's dark outside and there's no torch or candle in here" Bryan replied pointing at the door
Vena hummed "Maybe we should just wait till morning" she sat down with him.
"But I've been waiting" Bryan whined
"Let us wait a little bit longer" vena said
"Mia, I think-"
Vena chuckled "it isn't Mia but Vena"
"Oh sorry. Vena, I think it's never going to be bright" Bryan reasoned causing little vena to frown
"Why did you say that?" She cocked her head
"Because I've been waiting for long I told you. I'm sure my parents will be worried about me now"
"Hm mine too. Let's just go outside first" vena said
"Okay. Mia, hold my hand I'll protect you" Bryan said as he stretched his hand for her to hold
Vena facepalmed "I'm not mia, I'm Vena. Bryan" she took his hand and they both walked outside
"I'm sorry, the name keeps coming out that way. Vena, Vena, yes, vena" he kept singing it until they got to the dark part of the forest
"Stretch you hand Bryan" when he did they saw light came out through his palm
"Wow" Bryan smiled as he saw the light on his palm
"Cool..." Vena marvelled also
"How did you know?"
"I don't know" Vena replied
"Let's just go." They began to walk down the forest till then saw a big round light
"I think that's the way out, Mia"
"I think so too" she smiled at him
"Let's go" and they ran hand in hand only to appear back in their homes without each other
"Bryan?!"
Mia snapped her eyes opened as she remembered this particular event and almost fell but Bryan caught her steady. She turned to him
"I've met you before" and Bryan nodded
"I think so too, Vena" he smiled at her. He has been searching for her all his life. He knew it wasn't a dream. He knew it wasn't. He was able to locate the hut but it wasn't dark like before and he refused to enter into it. He couldn't locate the bright light and he has been searching for a certain Vena everywhere. Since he didn't see her face clearly that day he could only search with her name, Vena. But Mia woke up with only a name saved in her memory, Mia.
Mia shook her head at Bryan "it's Mia, Bryan, it's Mia"
"You gave me that name"
Bryan smiled and said
"But you kept refusing it saying your name was Vena"
"I think I prefer it now. Please call me Mia"
"And you taught me how to use my powers" Bryan smiled at her.
Robina got irritated and screamed "How come you didn't die!" She wasn't here for lovers chitchat. She was here to kill and take back her powers
Mia burst into tears when she heard her mother say that. What kind of mother will want her child dead?
She had a devilish smirk on her face as she stared at them all. All this while, Rukky didn't bother stepping out of the car even after the fight had stop. She was so scared, even with Miss Robina in their team, they are still not able to defeat Lord Bryan. She looked at Mia who was crying and heard her ask
"What did I do to you?" That was the only question Mia could think of asking her mother. What did she ever do to her?
"You!" Robina pointed at her in rage. "Because of your birth I lost my power, I lost my position!"
"What do you mean? I don't get what you're saying" she cleaned her eyes
"Why do I have images of you always being there for me? You being a good mother?"
"That's the good thing about magic..." She said dramatically making Bryan scoff loudly.
"Why do you hate her? she's your daughter" Bryan asked
"She divided my power!. She shared my power with her soulmate. How dare you do that without my permission! Do you know how many people begged me to get rid of you! No I Didn't. I decided to keep you because I wanted to know how it feels carrying a child. I wanted to know how it feels breastfeeding him or her but you witch! you took half of my power and gave it to this imbecile you call a Lord" she growled
Flashback 2#
"You dare get pregnant for a human?!" Robina's mother yelled in anger
"He is the only one that showed me kindness. He is good to me" Robina replied calmly
"Shut up!" A resounding slap landed on her cheeks. "How dare you! I didn't train you to be weak!"
"I am not weak"
"Falling for a human is weakness and a weak witch can never sit on that throne"
"I'll leave him. I'll leave the human forever" she replied when she heard that she won't be able to sit on the throne if she's weak.
"Then get rid of that baby!" Her mother ordered
"No! No, I can't"
"You love it!" Robina's mother spat as it dawned on her
"No, I just want to know the feeling of having a child in my womb"
"A human child?"
"I don't care!"
"You fool! This child will cause you nothing but pain and bitterness"
"Kill the child while you still can"
"No!" Robina yelled at her mother
"You fool, you're blinded by the love you have for this child. Kill it now!"
"No" Robina disappeared out of the underworld
