101. The Nation's Heir.

[Luke]
Liam screeched the car to a halt and though my heart was bleeding, we rushed towards Sophie's car as we watched the white van race against the closing bridge.
Thankfully the car hadn't fallen down the bridge but it had nose dived off the bridge and it was only hanging by the rear tires to the bottom rims of the bridge.
"Sophie." I yelled when we both got there.
"Be careful." Liam and I yelled when she tried to move and the dangling car shook.
The car's windshield was broken and it was practically totaled, Sophie was only hanging because of the seatbelt she had on or she would have plunged into the ocean below.
She was still conscious but she was bleeding a lot and she looked to be in a very bad state.
"Don't try to move, the car can't take the weight, the helicopters are coming, they'll get you out." I yelled to her and she stayed put.
"Luke, you have to go, find Claire and bring her back." Sophie cried and as she moved in her seat, the car fell a few feet down and we both screamed.
"I said stop moving."
Fortunately it only fell a few feet before it was caught up by one of the bridge cables.
I looked towards the bridge but the white van was long gone, it had beat the closing bridge and I could see nothing but dust for miles, my Claire had been taken from me.
I suddenly felt weak and I collapsed by the side of the bridge falling to the ground.
"Luke, you have to stay strong." Liam tried to comfort me but it was no use.
"Claire is gone, they've taken her away."
"We'll find her, I promise." He said.
We waited for a few more minutes and then the helicopters came, it was a huge effort but they were able to get Sophie out of the car before the car fell into the ocean.
I took the time to call Michele and he arrived at the scene just as they were bringing Sophie out.
Unfortunately she had become unconscious from the lack of blood when she was brought out.
Thankfully, the ambulance was already on site waiting and they strapped her in immediately when she was brought out.
"Prince Luke" Michele rushed to me breathlessly. "What happened?" He asked worriedly, of course I couldn't tell him what happened on the phone so I had made up something for him to come over.
"Michele, I'm afraid I have bad news, Sophie had been—"
I was barely done with my speech before he saw Sophie being wheeled into the ambulance and he rushed to her immediately.
"Sophie, oh no, no, no Sophie, please talk to me, how did this happen." He cried and I rushed to console him.
"I'm sorry, Michele, Sophie is strong, I'm sure she will be fine."
"How did this happen?" He turned to me and grabbed my shirt.
"Claire was just kidnapped." I told him sadly and he gasped and shoved me away.
"What, how come?"
"Sophie saw her being kidnapped and she began to chase after the van before calling us, we also began chasing them when she gave us the call, the van rammed into Sophie's car nearly tossing her off the bridge." I explained.
"Oh my God!" He gasped. "Where's Claire now?"
"She's gone, they took her." I tightened my fist as the urge to break something flooded over me.
"No, why is this happening?" He cried harder.
"Calm down, Michele, I promise I'll get her back, I'll not let anything happen to her." I promised him.
He gave me a hug and then joined Sophie in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
"Call me if you need anything and also when you have news from the doctor, I'll come and check on her later." I told him as the doors were about to close.
"It's fine, I'll look after her, you find Claire and make sure you bring her back home."
***
"What have we got?" I yelled and screamed angrily.
It had been three hours since Claire's kidnapping and she was nowhere to be found.
Her absence was driving me crazy, the guilt and fear was driving me crazy, if anything happened to Claire, I wouldn't know how to live.
I had tried to call Crystal because I knew that she had to be behind this but her number wasn't reachable, it was like she had blacklisted my number and I hadn't gotten any ransom calls from anyone.
The situation was killing me.

[Claire]
My body felt heavy, my eyes felt like they'd been glued shut, impossible to open.
I felt like I'd been stabbed with a million injections, my tongue felt like paper and I couldn't move my arms or feet no matter how hard I tried.
I tried to remember the last place I'd been but nothing was coming to mind, my mind was really hazy and I couldn't place anything in the right order, my memory was a jumbled mess.
"Is she awake?" I heard the count of heels clicking on the floor and then the question.
At least my ears were still working.
Maybe I was at a hospital of some kind though it did not feel like I was on a bed, it felt like I was on something very hard that was hurting my waist, buttocks and back.
"How long do you think it'll take for her to regain consciousness?" I heard heels ask again.
Since I didn't know who was talking, I named her heels because she was the one wearing the noisy heels and asking the questions.
"She should be regaining consciousness soon." Someone answered, sounded like a male voice, his footsteps were almost soundless.
"I don't think I can wait that long, wake her up." I heard heels say and the next thing I felt was my body drenched in liquid.
"Aaah!"
Someone had poured a bucket of cold water over my head.
It was very effective though because not only did it wake me, it also managed to restore my jumbled memory.
I remembered now and fear began to creep into my soul.
I remembered that I was about to cross the road to Sophie's car when a white van pulled up in front of me and I felt hands grabbing me and something sharp pricked my neck.
It must have been a drug, I had been kidnapped.
"Where am I?" I intended for that to ce.out loudly and harshly but it just came out weakly, I felt extremely weak.
"Who are you?" I asked again when I didn't get any reply.
"What do you want from me?"
"Shut up." A heavy slap landed across my face and it really did shut me up.
I tasted blood as my face shifted to the otherside.
"Enough, don't kill her yet." The voice sounded familiar and I looked up immediately to see two more people walking towards me.
I used the medium to look around me, it looked like I was being held hostage at a warehouse of some sorts, exactly the way you see it in movies.
I was tied up to a metal chair and three menacingly looking men were standing beside the women holding weapons.
"Mrs. Eve." I gasped when I recognized the woman coming towards me.
"That's right dear, it's me." She smiled at me, I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked teary eyed and she just chuckled.
"I wish it were your father that was strapped up to this chair but you will have to do." She laughed again.
"What have I done for you to do this to me?" I cried.
"You've done a lot sweetheart, much more than you can ever imagine." The man that came with Eve said and he began to trace my face with his fingers.
His actions disgusted me and I tried to pull my face away.
"Who are you?" I asked bitterly.
"Oh." He chuckled. "Forgive me for not introducing myself."
"He's Sir George." Eve said and the man removed his hand and bowed slightly to me.
"Charmed to meet you." He smirked at me. " And you." He waved his hat at my belly and his smirk widened.
I found all of it to be very creepy and my arms began to itch even though I couldn't itch them.
"What are you going to do with me?" I asked, looking from Eve to Sir George.
I didn't even know what grievances he had towards me.
"You ask too many questions." Heels walked back to me with a duck tape in her hands and I realized that she was the woman Luke and I had met in the restaurant.
She was Crystal, the same woman who had stolen my phone in the club and published all those pictures of me and Jean.
"You!" Before I could let it out, she shit my mouth with a large duct tape.
"For now, we just need you to be docile and compliant." She said and picked up a tiny syringe, after testing it by pouring out little liquid, she came towards me.
"Nnnnnnooooooo." I tried to move away from her and my words came out muffled.
