104. The Rescue 2.
[Claire]
"No." I gasp and my feet stay rooted to the floor as Crystal drops to the floor.
Eve walks out of the shadows looking at me with a murderous glint in her eyes.
"So you thought you could double cross me girl." She says as she yanks Crystal up by her hair.
"Let go of me, you bitch." Crystal grunts out.
"Oh so you can still talk." Eve sneers at her and hits the side of her head with the butt of the pistol she's holding and it's lights out for Crystal as she drops to the floor, unconscious.
"Stop, you will kill her." I scream at Eve.
"Like anyone would miss her." She sneers and kicks Crystal's unconscious body to one side. "But you, you will certainly be missed, now come here."
She grabbed my hand and shoved me back towards the tunnels, I crossed over Crystal's unconscious body as she pulled me roughly with her.
She'd shot crystal on the thigh and blood was pouring out of her wound profusely and I wondered if she would just bleed out and die there.
"Wait, you can't just leave her there, she'll die." Tears poured out of my eyes as I tried to escape Eve's grip.
"When did you two become friends?" She frowned at me. "Did you know that all of this was her idea, she reached out to me and even Sir George and I just thought what a splendid idea."
"Why are you doing this to me?" I cried.
"Isn't it obvious?" She tightened her grip around my arm. "It's pay back time."
"Please Eve, spare me for the sake of my child, my child is innocent, if you want to hurt me to get back at my father, do so but not now, let me have my child first." I pleaded with her.
"See, I have no problem with that clause you just stated, I don't give two shits about the child you're carrying but you see my other associate has a thing for the child and as I'm not one to double cross my associates, I have to deliver the child to him." She laughed and pushed me inside a dark room.
I stumbled into the room, fear coursing through my veins, the room was so dark I couldn't see my next step.
"Come in." A cold voice said and the light flickered on in the room.
I gasped out of fear and shock when I realized the kind of room I was in.
It was an operating room of some kind, there was a large operation bed in the middle of the room with a huge lamp light over it, Sir George was sitted on a small stool beside the bed, an evil smile on his lips.
It took a second for the reality of my situation to dawn on me and then I started crying, screaming and hitting the door violently.
"Let me out of here."
"Please Eve, I'll give you anything you want, please let me out of here I beg you, that child is innocent, please."
"Stop delaying the inevitable." He stood up from the small stool and began to drag me towards the bed.
"No, no, please I beg of you, no." I cried and tried to free myself from him but he was too strong and soon he pinned me on the bed and strapped my hands and legs to the side of the bed.
"What are you going to do to me?" I tried to struggle again and he lifted up my dress.
"Oh something fun." He grinned as he applied a cold gel on my stomach. "First I want you to see your child before I rip it out of you." He said.
"You're sick, you're a sick bastard, why are you doing this to me?"
"Shut the fuck up!" He yelled at me and slapped me hard across the face. "I have no business with you, Christensen owes me a debt and this child is my payment." He sent and went back to spreading the cold gel on me.
I just lay on the bed, crying helplessly, and thinking to myself how I could let things come to this.
"I don't even know who the fuck Christensen is, why would my child be used as payment for his debt?" I asked in anger.
"Oh, you don't know Christensen, well, let me tell you that he's your father in law." He chuckled.
"The k-king?" My voice shook as I asked.
"Yes, his royal highness himself." He said mockingly.
"Luke, please save me." I whispered to myself as the man left me to go and take something for a second.
I hadn't even done an ultrasound yet because I didn't want to know my baby's gender until it was born and now that privilege was about to be ripped away from me.
"Okay, it seems the heavens is on my side because I can't find the transducer so I guess we're going to have to skip that part." He said and held up a scalpel.
"No, wait please." I screamed and once again tried to escape from the bonds but it was no use.
This psycho was going to cut me open without even administering anesthesia.
"This is going to be so much fun." He chuckled.
I shit my eyes tightly, preparing myself for the pain to come but as the cold blade grazed my belly, a loud sound exploded outside the room.
"What was that?" He asked, staring at the guards in the room.
"No idea, Sir." They responded.
"Come with me, leave her here alone, I'll come back for her, they must have come to try and rescue her but they don't know how big of a mistake they have made." He said and smirked at me before they exited the room.
"They've come for me, Luke has come for me." I thought to myself happily and even shed a few tears.
After they left the room, I went to work on the cuffs tying me down.

[Luke]
Sir Thomas was in the van with the police force and their other divisions, they made me wear a wire as they stayed back to listen to whatever conversation that was going on.
The location Crystal sent to me was deep in the woods, no matter how loud they were here, no one would hear.
The place was an abandoned mine and it hadn't been used in years, I didn't even know that such a place still existed.
The helicopter parked a few feet away from the location, I walked to the point Crystal asked us to meet with two large boxes of cash Like she'd requested.
Liam accompanied me and so did Erik, they both dressed up like bodyguards and they weren't armed, in fact none of us were armed.
"This is the spot." I said when we got to a clearing inside the bush and showed them the photo reference that Crystal had sent to me.
"Yeah, it sure is." Liam nodded.
"What do we do now?" I asked.
"We wait." Erik said, looking around carefully.
We waited for a while but Crystal wasn't showing up.
"Why don't you try to contact her." Liam suggested and I did just that.
"She's not responding."
"Something seems off." Erik said and brought out his mobile phone. "There's an abandoned mine a few meters from here, that's where she has to be." He said.
"Good, let's go there immediately, Crystal must have backed out at the last minute, it must be to throw us off." I reasoned.
"Erik, send the coordinates to the men." Liam said and he nodded.
"On it."
The mine was really dusty and there was almost no way in, fortunately we didn't spot any guards outside, the mine was unusually quiet.
"I don't think we have the right place." I sighed when we still found nothing.
"There's also a—" A loud gunshot interrupted Erik. "This is definitely the place."
"Let's go."
We rushed towards the direction of the gunshot and we found an underground tunnel leading inside the mine.
"Fuck, that's Crystal." I gasped when we got to the mouth of the tunnel.
She'd been shot and she was bleeding on the ground.
"I'd take care of her." Erik offered immediately and I mouthed my thanks.
I'd seen why she couldn't make it to the spit, my worst fear was coming to light, they'd discovered her treachery and now Claire was undoubtedly stuck in it.
"Wait." Liam stopped me as we ran down the tunnel.
"What?"
"We don't know how many armed people are there and there's just two of us, unarmed." He paused and then looked around before continuing. "We have to cause a loud distraction.
"I have just the thing." I said and brought out a hand grenade from my pocket.
"How do you have that, I thought—"
"I wanted to be prepared." I told him and brought out a pistol from my back pocket.
