The Royal Wedding.
[Claire]
"Yes." I cried as Luke slipped the cold metal on my finger.
"Thank you, thank you so much, honey, I love you, I'll love you forever."Luke got up from his kneeling position and picked me up.
"Luke." I squealed because I didn't think he could carry me with my huge stomach and I was a bit insecure about my weight.
"Did you hear that baby, mommy and daddy are getting married and you'll not be born out of wedlock." He said and kissed my belly.
My face fell for a few minutes before I changed my expression, even though I knew that he loved me so much, I couldn't help but wonder if we were only getting married so soon because he didn't want the child to be born out of wedlock.
"What's wrong?" He frowned as he set me down. "We promised no lies and secrets, remember." He held my chin with his fingers and forced me to look him in the eye.
"Would you have married me so soon if I wasn't pregnant." I asked and sad tears slipped down my face.
"Claire." He sighed and took a step back from me. "You don't know this but I fell in love with you the first time I saw you, when you fell out of the barricade, your red hair spilling everywhere, I think my horse was just as mesmerized as I was and that's why he was heading for you."
"What?" I laughed, wiping my tears off.
"You know why I wanted to tell you my secret?" He asked and I shook my head. "It's because I wanted us to start planning a family, I was even prepared to give up my inheritance just to be with you." He said and now I was the one who was feeling bad for doubting his intentions.
"I know, I'm sorry, it's silly, we shouldn't talk about sad things anymore, it's a happy day." I said and wrapped my arms around his neck and initiated a kiss.
His arms wrapped around my waist as he deepened the kiss, he bit my bottom lip as he demanded access into my mouth but then I stopped him and pulled away slightly.
We stared at each other, breathing heavily before I spoke.
"We probably shouldn't do this in front of your mother." I joked and he laughed.
"Of course, we have all of our lives for that." He said and picked me once again, spinning me around once and then dropping me abruptly. "I'm sorry, I was too excited, I forgot that it's not good for you and the baby." He said and I smiled.
"I quite like it actually." I said, using a fake British accent.
"You know that a British accent and a Danish accent are different right?" He teased me and I laughed again.
"It's the church." I laughed. "It's giving British vibes."
"Don't let the Priest hear you say that?" He whispered and we both laughed.
I couldn't wait to share the news with everyone and I called Sophie and Michele immediately, they demanded to see the ring so I switched to video call as we drove back home.
"Oh my God, I'm so jelly, such an exquisite stone." She said and held hers up in comparison.
"Come on, yours is nice too." I laughed.
"What, looks like a corn grain next to yours." Michele teased and she smacked him on the head.
"I'd like to see what you get for Jack." She sneered at him.
"Jack?" I asked excitedly. "Mich, are you planning on asking him to marry you?"
"Of course." He beamed. "Y'all are getting married, I don't want to be stuck single, besides I love the man and we've been together for a while now, I totally think it's time." He added.
"Oh my." I gushed. "I'm so happy for you, Mich, that's amazing, Jack's a great guy and I know you both will be amazing together."
"Thank you, Claire." He smiled. "So when are we getting our invites?" He asked.
"You better not get anyone else to style you girl, I don't care what rules they have in the palace, Mich and I are the ones who will style you. We've been dreaming for this day girl, in fact, what're you doing right now, I'm coming to get you, we have a lot of dresses to choose from." Sophie rambled excitedly.
"My wife's pregnant, Sophie, can you maybe calm down, she doesn't need all this stress." Luke stuck his head in my video call.
"What?" Sophie frowned and then pouted. "I feel it's because you're too less busy."
"Yeah." Mich supported her. "What's your schedule like your highness, we've also got so many groom outfits to pick from." Michele grinned.
"Oh, you guys." I laughed.

"Can we get married this weekend?" I asked and all eyes turned to me in surprise.
Immediately Claire and I returned home, I was called into an emergency meeting with the ministry, one that I'd been dreading for days now.
The ministry consisted mostly of older men and women with slim outlooks on life and they were all red with anger right now, they'd been complaining and nagging since the meeting started, about my irresponsibility and that of my father's.
They were giving me a headache and I was glad for the moment of silence as they stared at me stunned after the question I blurted out.
"You think this is a joke?" One of them scoffed at me.
"No." Another one of them started. "The boy might have a point." She spoke like I was a literal child and not about to become King of Denmark.
"What do you mean?" Another asked her.
"He needs to be married before he can become King anyway." She said,
"And who says we're still considering letting him become King." The first one scoffed again.
"Oh okay, Haswell, do you happen to know any other person of royal blood that can take the throne?" She looked at him like he was a simpleton.
"We came here to resolve the issue, not compound it." The third member glared at the first man.
"Like I was saying." The second woman turned to me and continued. "It's best if you get married soon so that your child is born in wedlock and not out of it, we need to clean your image up and present you to the public as a responsible monarch so we will have to push your coronation back for a few more months so that we can clear all the scandals." She said and then she turned to my father. "I would have hoped that you could talk to me before you announcw dumb shit like that."
"I'm sorry, I wasn't willing on staying as Long after I returned from the hospital, even though the doctors say I'm well, we both know that it's only a matter of time, I'm no longer fit to be King." He explained to her.
It pained me to hear my father speak the way he did but somehow that was the truth, if I wanted him to live longer, he had to look after his health closely.
"I hope you know that your boyish days will be over once that metal is placed on your head." The first man said.
"Yes of course, I plan to serve my nation to the best of my ability." I said, like it was a rehearsed speech.
"Whatever, just don't out us in the news for dumb shit again." They hissed as they picked up their things and left.

"Don't cry, don't cry or you're gonna ruin your makeup." Sophie warned me as she opened the door for me.
Sophie and Michele had basically gotten my entire bridal train and myself ready, plus my parents and the Prince.
They'd also gotten ready in record time and now it was time for me to join my husband to be outside.
I tried not to cry as my mother and father came to hug and congratulate me, even the King cake to say hello.
Sophie was an expert, the gown we'd chosen was so beautiful and it was also really big and long, you couldn't see my belly in the dress, it didn't even look like I was six months pregnant.
My father held my hand and my mother walked by my side as we walked outside of the palace, we had gotten ready at the palace. Sophie and Michele helped me lift the ends of the gown as I walked.
When we got outside, I gasped as I saw the carriage Luke and I were to ride in, I felt like a fairytale princess getting her happy ending.
"You look absolutely gorgeous, my love." Luke smiled at me as I sat beside him on the carriage with great difficulty, only because my dress was so huge.
We moved from the palace to the church and there were so many paparazzi, photographers and people taking pictures. I even spotted my old boss Anders in the crowd and he waved at me with Penny by his side. She probably already got what she wanted because they were both wearing matching rings.
In a twinkle of an eye, I was walking down the aisle with my father, to get married to the love of my life in the most lavish wedding ceremony ever.
I didn't hear anything the Priest was saying as I stood opposite Luke, he looked so handsome and I just kept staring into his eyes.
"I do." I said without any hesitation when the question was asked and Luke did the same too.
The church erupted in claps as the Priest asked Luke to kiss his bride.
He opened my veil, pulled me closer to him and you he'd his lips to mine in the most passionate lips locking ever.
