Chapter 38

You Are My Obsession (Part 8):
The following morning, Vala woke up feeling pains all over her body, especially her lower body. Bite marks were all over her body and she touched her neck, the back, where the most painful bite mark was, her mate mark. Winter had bitten her there when he had turned her and forced her to her knees as his spirit beast took turns with his body in thrusting into her with such a force that she was so sure that if she wasn't a Demon most of her bones would have been broken.
Touching the bite on the back of her neck, she remembered how she had screamed loudly in pain when he had bit her without warning. The bite marks weren't healing and she wondered why and also why she was still feeling pain.
Ignoring the pains she rolled over, hoping to see her mate's face, but instead, she saw the side of her bed was empty, Ruthless was not there. Trying not to feel sad, she couldn't help but think sadly.
Did she satisfy him?
What if he had returned back into Athena as she couldn't meet up?
And why wasn't she healing?
So many thoughts ran through her mind especially that of Ruthless and Athena.
What if he decided that she was not enough and went ahead to remove their mate bond?
Her heart sank at that thought, bracing herself, she managed to stand up from her bed but her legs gave way and she fell down, groaning in pain.
The door leading to her bathroom door opened and Ruthless rushed out to meet her, carrying her in bridal style in his arms.
"You should have yelled out my name, do you want to injure yourself the more?" He asked in concern.
"I thought you had left me and went back to Athena arms," Vala said slowly, as she breathed in her mate's scent, closing her eyes in total bliss when she didn't smell the scent of the goddess on him.
She felt his body rigid but she didn't care, he was here.
"Listen Vala, whenever I make my promise, I always do as I say, Winter always keeps to his promise and besides, do you think I will give Blue a chance to be with you or anyone else? Now that I have a taste of you, I want more of you, but you're still sore from last night," he said.
"You went too rough on me,"
"I am sorry about that, told you I like it rough, but the full Moon made me lose control of myself, I hope I didn't hurt you much."
"Well as long as it's you, I don't feel pain," Vala lied, "But I wonder why the bite marks refuse to heal."
"They will heal once you mark me."
"So you have been in the bathroom all these time that I was awake?"
"Yes,"
"Doing what?"
"Let me show you two surprises," he said and walked back into the bathroom, Vala gasped out in surprise, her bathroom floor was covered with flowers, her bathtub was also filled with water and flowers. It was breathtaking, as if they were in another world.
"How did you do this?" Vala asked after finding her voice.
"Well I forced some of the servants in the palace to decorate here,"
"But I thought you said you lose your powers every full Moon."
"Yes, slowly though, I become fully weak on the third day."
"I don't like this, what if something happens to you, what if someone would choose that moment to attack you,"
"Well such a person hasn't been born yet and no one in the supernatural would try such," Ruthless replied to her and gently lowered Vala into the bathtub.
"But what if someone-"
Cutting her off gently, "I understand your fear Vala, if someone tries to kill me in my weakened state, I will defend myself. I am not that completely useless, except they are powerful and attack when I least expect but the question is, who wants to attack me? Absolutely no one."
"In case you haven't noticed, everyone hates you in the supernatural and wishes you Death."
"I know but who cares?"
"I care, Winter, do you know how they would feel if they find out you have been protecting them from the 'Falcons', they would come to love you."
"I don't need that from anyone, I am only doing that because of my father."
Resting her head at the top of the bathtub, at that moment, she noticed Winter was stark naked, she tried not to blush and tried to avert her eyes from the monster dangling between his legs, she closed her eyes.
"Admit you are not just doing it for your father alone, but also for the sake of the people."
"You like arguing a lot Vala,"
"Why won't you admit you have a soft heart towards them."
Ruthless didn't say anything, instead, he joined her in the bathtub, kissed her forehead as she opened her eyes to smile at him.
"You won in this argument."
"So where is my second surprise?" She asked.
Smiling sheepishly, "You will get it tonight," he answered.
"Are we not going to school today?"
"No, you are not going, we are not going to school today, we are going to get busy."
"Please not now, I haven't healed yet."
"I know, I wasn't talking about that, get your mind off the gutter Vala, I was talking about the mate mark, I have marked you, its now your turn to mark me."
"I don't know how to do it Winter."
"It's simple, just think of you having sharp pointed teeth and biting me wherever you choose to, hard."
"So I can get to bite you wherever I want to?"
"Yes, once you have marked me, you will heal gradually."
"I just know the perfect place to mark you," Vala said shyly.
"Okay, can't wait to see your mark on me Vala."

Eye's Chamber;
"I have given you enough time to find the spell, hope you have done that."
"Not yet my Queen, it isn't easy like I told you, just be a little patient and you shall smile."
"Do what you have to do, Eyes, don't disappoint me."
"I won't."
"What about the full Moon, why did it come out last night?"
"Probably it changes it's circle and chooses to surprise those who transformed to their beast."
"You've been helping me a lot, Eye's, and haven't demanded anything in return, so I am asking, what do you want me to give you in return for all your help?"
"I just want something simple from you my Queen and I know you won't disappoint me in my request,"
"And what can that be, Eye's?"
"I want you to get me married to your son, Blue." Eye's told her. "Think carefully before saying anything. I might have the spell already with me, my Queen, so think thoughtfully, me or the girl who isn't your son's mate."
"Fine, I will allow you to get married to my son, give me the spell."
"Not so fast my Queen, I shall give you the spell on the evening after my wedding with your son."
Queen Lati made a portal appear and she entered it without uttering another word to Eyes.

The sun had almost gone to sleep when Vala heard a knock on her door. She was in the kitchen preparing dinner for her and Winter. After she marked him in the bathroom, her bite mark and pains started fading away, by the time she heard the voices of her schoolmates, the bite mark was gone. Her mate mark which was on her neck wasn't paining her anymore, when she had checked it with her mirror, she saw the drawing of a moon and a Fox large head, the moon was dark while the Fox head was in rainbow color. It looked so beautiful on her.
"Why is the Fox there?" She had asked when she saw the drawings.
"He is my last spirit beast,"
"You haven't introduce him to me,"
"I can't,"
"Why?"
"He doesn't have skin like Ice Fang, Fire or Windy. He only shows when I am angry, very angry and that's only in his spirit form."
"Why is the Fox like that?"
"To be sincere I don't know Vala, I can't really remember and the only one who is in a better position to tell me is my late mother, but she is gone."
"First it was the 'Falcons' and now this strange Fox," Vala said, "Why do I have this feeling you have a past that someone is blocking you from knowing."
