Answers About the Past
“What happened to her? Why did Lavelle have to swallow those antipsychotic pills almost all the time? Does she have a severe and even incurable disease? What made her so traumatized to be like this? Is it really just because of her Dad being rude?” Theophile asked without stopping stroking the top of Lavelle’s head, who had not been conscious for thirty minutes ago. Theophile didn’t know precisely what made Lavelle faint.
Mark, who had been standing staring at the large window in the two girls’ room, could only take a deep breath, his hands shaking erratically until the veins in his hands were clearly visible, his face immediately flushed red, but he also couldn’t decide what to do when they arrived. Meanwhile, Daniela was still crying while preparing the herbal drink that Lavelle’s Mom usually prescribed when Lavelle started to feel uncontrollable anxiety and hurt herself.
“Can’t you guys answer my question? This is a fairly simple question. You can even answer my question by closing your eyes. But why are you all silent?!” Theophile asked again in a high-pitched voice that startled some of the maids there.
“Only Lavelle can explain everything because what we know so far is so little,” Mark replied that he was no less angry because Theophile consistently pressured him, even when he wanted to have Lavelle. Mark really felt confused right now, especially when Lavelle was unconscious right now.
“You’ve known Lavelle for a long time. How could you not understand what happened to her,” Theophile said then.
“This is also your fault, Theo. I told you not to be too selfish to approach Lavelle. Lavelle is not the same girl you think she is, and she is sick. She is a depressed girl!” Mark pressed.
“What do you mean? I didn’t even overdo Lavelle,” Theophile retorted.
Daniela screamed, feeling so annoyed with the fight between the two crazy creatures, “Enough! You don’t have to fight here! You two are selfish!”
“Danie....”
“Daniela, I’m really sorry,” Mark whispered.
“I’m tired of being like this, Mark! I hate it! Please let us go from this world!” snapped Daniela feeling so angry.
“I’m sorry both of us, and we should have found a solution soon. Please don’t tell if you both want to die. I believe you are a very precious gift,” said Mark, then massaged his temples gently.
Theophile took a deep breath. “Miss Montefalco, you are Lavelle’s closest friend. Can you tell me about Lavelle’s mental health condition in detail?”
“I don’t know what angle to start with,” Daniela replied in between sobs.
“From any angle, since I think to cure her… we have to know all the troubles she’s going through, right?” Theophile replied in a softened tone.
Daniela rubbed her face roughly. “I don’t know… this is all so painful to remember.”
“Actually, what happened? Tell me all about it,” Theophile pleaded a second time.
“Lavelle… I think she’s gone crazy, and I don’t know where to explain everything but, what makes it even more confusing is that it’s her family.” Daniela held back her tears so they wouldn’t fall again even though she said that her lips were already trembling, her chest was beating faster as if she couldn’t utter a word.
“So, what Mark said about Lavelle’s Dad was true?” asked Theophile then.
Daniela could only nod. “Even so… Lavelle can only stay silent and vent her hatred by hurting herself or hurting others.”
“You mean?”
“So far, Lavelle has lied to us so often, and she said that she was fine. But, in reality, she was hurt so deeply. She is so good at hiding her wounds with a smile and the harsh words she often says,” Daniela replied, sobbing even more.
“What did her Dad do to make her like that?” asked Theophile quickly.
Daniela’s face slowly became very sad. Her tears became very heavy, even more profusely than before, she sobbed. And Mark immediately grabbed a handkerchief that he was in his pocket. He approached Daniela and handed her the handkerchief.
“Wipe your tears first,” Mark mumbled.
Daniela nodded and followed Mark’s words. “I really can’t think clearly. What Lavelle’s Dad did was so annoying and slowly undermined Lavelle’s self-confidence and even damaged Lavelle’s psychology. Lavelle is a good and intelligent girl, but her environment is so cruel,” Daniela muttered.
“Yeah, what happened to those two?” Theophile still didn’t understand.
“Aunt Christelle, such a kind Lavelle Mom. Having experienced domestic violence, and it was not experienced just once, she was abused three times and even beaten to a pulp for being accused of stealing money from Martian even though the money was clearly being used to have fun with an old fart bitch in a whorehouse, that old man doesn’t have a sane mind.” Daniela sighed slowly, taking a deep breath of the oxygen in the room.
“It can damage a child’s mentality if a child sees it directly,” Theophile said later.
Daniel nodded. “Children really shouldn’t see or deal with things like that, and it’s violence that can damage the mind. Children don’t know how to control their emotions.”
“How painful it is to be in Lavelle’s position. However, everyone thinks that she is exaggerating the drama in her life when it is authentic. This hurts,” Daniela said later. “Lavelle is also often compared to a boy because this insane old man thinks that having a daughter is bad luck.”
“It was so obvious that the verbal abuse was being done by that stupid man. Obviously, Lavelle couldn’t suppress the trauma until she grew up. Lavelle was at a point where a person could do anything to hurt herself. That desperation made Lavelle unable to control her emotions. What’s more, she feels she is not worthy of her family. This could create a new assumption that she is unlucky for her family.” mumbled Mark without turning his head, “And Lavelle was always trying to kill herself. At the same time, the psychotic pills were only a temporary remedy when she felt erratic. It would eventually become an addiction for Lavelle.”
“Then, what should I do to make her heal, forget her past?” Theophile asked Mark and Daniela.
“Every doctor we see always recommends doing a little hypnotherapy or in-depth consultation along with taking these pills but, you know for yourself that Lavelle is a really hard person to talk to. She felt that the people she spoke to assumed other facts about her,” explains Daniela.
“That is a matter that will be very difficult,” said Shotaro then, “Then did her Mom or Lavelle’s sister know about this?”
“No, they only know that Lavelle has experienced stomach bleeding and is often emotional when her wishes are not granted,” replied Lavelle.
“No wonder Lavelle always insists on hurting herself. Her mother just doesn’t know about that big thing,” said Mark.
“Theo… if you really love Lavelle, take her as far away from a toxic environment as possible,” said Daniela, glancing at Theophile.
“You mean… I have to hypnotize her?” asked Theophile innocently.
“Not like that, Theophile. I guess you have to hypnotize her. But to hypnotize it for Lavelle to want to do hypnotherapy, persuaded her to do hypnotherapy along with a range of other treatments,” said Daniela.
Mark turned and nodded his head, looking at Theophile and Daniela at the same time. Slightly present in the indistinct rainbow, Mark approaches Theophile and asks for permission to order some warriors to bring Doctor Charlotte, who has been their family doctor for hundreds of years.
Theophile, who had no other way, only nodded, allowing Mark to order some warriors to bring Doctor Charlotte to treat Lavelle, who had not yet recovered from her confusion. Theophile took Lavelle’s hand, her fingers so pale and cold. Tristan gently kissed Lavelle’s finger, hoping that the beautiful girl would soon wake up from her sleep and heal from the trauma that had been haunting her for so long.
“What happened to you, sweetheart? I can’t help you much... other than to say that you’ll always be fine with me.”
“You know she’s always worried about her own feelings. I’m telling you about it because I feel a little worried, not because I want to betray her as a friend.” Daniela took a deep breath to give an ambiguous pause between their conversation. “I was just worried that she would never find true love for her because she was always concerned that she would get hurt and get hurt again. She is always in a relationship with new people who she finds pleasure. But, she is too afraid to love and be loved for an unreasonable reason, like she is scared of getting hurt because of love for the first time. “
“Why is it like that?” asked Theophile again.
“Daddy issues are a horrific thing for a baby girl, and as a result, daughters are more likely to ignore their mates later in life. They may even resort to various means to hurt their mate and be abandoned by their partner.”

An old doctor seemed to have just checked Lavelle’s heart condition with a contrivance he carried. He looked at Theophile with a look that was hard to describe and still faithfully accompanied Lavelle in the room while Daniela came in and out to check on Lavelle’s condition.
“She’s fine, son. There is no serious illness,” said Doctor Charlotte, “Maybe she needs to rest and take some vitamins and antidepressants. She looks like a normal human being, and I can smell her scent clearly.”
Theophile stood up and led the century-old doctor to sit on the sofa provided in the room. “Daniela says she has an anxiety disorder and can even be said to be depressed, which definitely requires serious treatment.”
“Of course, she needs serious sustenance coupled with the support of those closest to her,” Doctor Charlotte replied, nodding. “Mental health issues are the most difficult problems to deal with. Even 60% of people in this world commit suicide because they can’t get out of their own way.”
“Do you think I should take her to the psychologist just to do hypnotherapy? Or should I invite someone psychologist to take care of her here?” asked Theophile.
“I think that is quite an exaggeration, young master. I’ll just send one of my men to help her do hypnotherapy for two days if during those two days there is significant growth. We suggest other treatments.” Doctor Charlotte explained to Theophile, who still looked confused.
“Okay, Doc. If that’s your suggestion, I will try to get Lavelle to be treated and undergo a series of treatments,” Theophile replied later.
“Who’s she?” asked Doctor Charlotte with a curious face, “Is she your girlfriend?”
“Stop! Please don’t do it! I hate you! I want to kill you! You are evil!”
“Please don’t leave me with that man, I’m afraid.”
In confusion, Theophile hugged Lavelle’s body tightly. “What are you afraid of? I’m by your side, and you have nothing to fear, baby.”
“What are you doing, Young Master Theophile? She looked terrified of something. Wouldn’t it be better if we injected an anesthetic to calm her terrified down?” asked Doctor Charlotte with a confused face.
“I don’t think she needs to be sedated again because it would have the same effect as taking those psychotic drugs,” replied Theophile, still embracing Lavelle’s body tightly while stroking the girl’s back, hoping he could transfer positive energy into Lavelle’s life.
“You are so pathetic when you think of that man, and I don’t know how to calm you down. I will try to persuade you to take medicine.”
“Keep me away from that evil bastard,” Lavelle screamed hysterically.
