Be Mine Forever

“What are you doing?” asked Lavelle in a low voice, not feeling the tears slowly starting to fall from her beautiful round eyes.

“Why are you crying? I’m sorry…” Theophile cupped Lavelle’s face intensely, wiped her tears slowly, then kissed her eyelids.

“You drive me crazy. You poison every aspect of my mind,” Lavelle said later.

“Please don’t cry, I’m sorry … don’t leave me, I really need you, I can’t live without you, Lavelle,” Theophile pleaded in a chaotic tone.

“Theophile...”

Theophile looked at the girl’s eyes very intensely, even close enough. Theophile realized that what he did to Lavelle was a little rash that made Lavelle’s lips hurt and bleed. Theophile wiped the traces of blood and apologized once again. Theophile hugged the girl now.

“I’m sorry, sweetie. I’ve been so snappy to you,” Theophile whispered.

Lavelle didn’t answer Theophile’s words, but Lavelle wrapped her arms around Theophile’s neck, dropped her head on Theophile’s chest, and sobbed into Theophile’s chest, making the one hundred and seventy-three-centimeter tall man sigh in doubt, the man didn’t understand what he was talking about. All he had to do was stroke the top of Lavelle’s head and kiss her gently. Coming out of trauma is like trying to quit a drug addiction, and it isn’t very easy.

“Could our relationship be real?” asked Lavelle between sobs.

“Of course, I love you, and for sure we can have this relationship. Do you love me?” asked Theophile immediately.

“Don’t you think I’m such an abnormal girl? I always feel strange in my surroundings, but why do you think I am so special, and why are you keeping me here? If our relationship can’t be real, please don’t keep me here anymore because I can’t forget you very quickly when what I already feel for you,” Theophile mumbled.

“Lavelle, what are you afraid of?” asked Theophile.

“I’m just afraid that someday I’ll fall in love with you. However, I can’t have you, and I’m afraid you’re just my hallucination. And this makes me think too much about torments,” Lavelle said quietly.

“Our world is different, but … love is love and reflecting on the past about my late parents. Love with sincerity will glory over any problem. You just have to believe that I am yours and that no creature can separate us.”

“But--”

Theophile stroked Lavelle’s beautiful hair, and then he gently stroked Lavelle’s cheeks. “Believe me, if God links us until whenever we will continue to be fated together.”

“Theophile, that is an impossible thing. If God really destined us to be together, why did he create such a big difference between the two of us? I’m an ordinary human, and you’re a long-lived vampire,” Lavelle muttered.

“My precious Lavelle, I can’t answer either but, one thing you have to remember is that you are mine, and I am yours. You know we are different, but I believe the differences we have will make us even more intense to love each other,” replied Theophile.

Lavelle let go of her arms, looking into Theophile’s beautiful eyes, trying to find an answer that could really calm her heart for just one second. However, once again, Lavelle did not find the right answer from Theophile’s beautiful eyes. This made her light-headed even more. Her heart was so confused about choosing.

Did she love Theophile?

Did she fall in love with the handsome vampire?

Lavelle wavered in trepidation as she looked Theophile in the eye.

“Are you looking for a belief?” asked Theophile, then as he took Lavelle’s right hand and placed it on his right cheek.

“I was really looking for it,” Lavelle replied.

“Why?” asked Theophile then.

“You make me feel worthy, although I don’t understand why I feel so precious in your sight, Theo.” Lavelle averted her gaze.

“That’s because we are one,” Theophile replied later.

The sound of the ancient bell resounded throughout the kingdom, making Lavelle, who was still sleeping under the thick and soft blanket, wake up a little startled and stretched, then stretched all her stiff joints because she slept so soundly. With her gaze still dim, she realized that the room was not the room she lived in every day.

She quickly rolled her eyes to find out where she was now. It only took her about thirty minutes to find a large photograph posted in front of her, a photo that was already quite dim in color, but Lavelle could still recognize the boy with the chubby cheeks in the photo. Lavelle recognized the little boy in the photo as Theophile because Theophile’s green eyes were more flashy than those of his other siblings.

She was even more shocked when she realized she was wearing a milky white shirt that didn’t belong to her, her mind drifting away, thinking about the possibilities that might have happened between her and Theophile last night.

The bell rang again. Lavelle immediately got up and left the room in a bit of a hurry. She didn’t see Theophile anywhere, slightly slapped her face thinking that this was a dream, but, a second later, she heard music coming from the fourth floor, though not very clearly.

Several maids went back and forth with great and delicious food in the main dining room, as well as several male servants who cleaned the entire kingdom with the utmost care, as if there would be some important people coming to the kingdom. Lavelle saw Jessica walking with a food trolley in the hallway from a distance. Jessica was seen smiling meaningfully when she saw Lavelle walking barefoot.

“Good afternoon, Mrs. Blanc. I brought you some Italian dishes, as Young Master Theophile ordered a few hours ago. You slept quite well, so I brought this food a little later.”

“Jessica, tell me, where is Theophile now?” asked Lavelle quickly.

“Sorry, Mrs. Blanc. Young Master Theophile is currently in the meeting room, and it seems that he is having a crucial meeting with Elder Jun and the others. Does Mrs. Blanc has something to say to Young Master Theophile? If you don’t mind, I’ll tell him when I deliver the food to the room later.” Jessica answered Lavelle’s question with pridefulness and even looked so elegant that it matched her cute and graceful appearance.

“Oh my… umh, when is the meeting over?” asked Lavelle then.

“Sorry, Mrs. Blanc, I don’t know for sure but, it looks like the meeting will be finished in the next few hours,” Jessica replied later.

“Did he see you this morning?” asked Lavelle, a little interrogating.

“That’s right, Mrs. Blanc. At breakfast, he asked me to prepare breakfast for you around eleven o’clock in the afternoon. He also asked Miss Monte Falco not to disturb your sleep,” answered Jessica.

“Theophile said something other than that?” then asked Lavelle while biting her knuckles in doubt.

“No, Mrs. Blanc. He just said that” repeated Jessica.

“Okay, can you tell him that I want to see him after their meeting is over?” Lavelle stared at Jessica for a few seconds.

“Of course, Mrs. Blanc. I’ll pass it on when I meet Young Master Theophile later,” Jessica replied.

“Good, this is very disconcerting. Maybe I should see Daniela or just shower a few minutes first,” Lavelle mumbled, then grumbled a little.

“How about breakfast, Mrs. Blanc? Young Master Theophile said that you were exhausted and needed a good rest, which is why I brought your breakfast menu at noon. Don’t you want to eat this Italian dish?” Jessica shows the Lasagna and gelato still neatly in the food cart.

Lavelle sighed, slightly complaining. “Please put it in the room, and I will eat it later. However, I will meet Daniela first.”

Jessica nodded in understanding, and Lavelle walked away, but she stopped again and turned to Jessica before three steps.

“Have you seen Daniela?” asked Lavelle then.

“Miss Monte Falco just so happens to be in the side yard, Mrs. Blanc.”

“Okay, thank you very much, Jessica.”

After hearing the answer from the beautiful elf, Lavelle immediately went down dozens of stairs. She saw several other maids who were busy tidying up some jars and flower vases in the kingdom, but she really didn’t understand what would be done in the kingdom. Lavelle ignored it when she found Daniela busy in the sideyard of the kingdom. A courtyard made especially for relaxing a bit amidst a grove of colorful flowers and a small fish pond with a mini fountain.

“Daniela!” Lavelle called out while running to Daniela.

Daniela looked up, then she put her embroidery board on the table and smiled broadly, a slightly seductive smile. “Good afternoon Mrs. Blanc. How was your sleep? Is that okay? You look so exhausted.”

“Gosh, don’t be sarcastic, Danie… don’t you know that I’m doubtful right now?” asked Lavelle sulkily.

Daniela laughed, “Why? Didn’t you two have fun last night? Did the alien-like vampire Theophile hurt you?”

Lavelle took a deep breath. “I think we did have fun last night but, you understand what I’m worried about, don’t you?”

“By the way, whose clothes are you wearing? Did it belong to Theophile? Hmm… what did you guys do last night?” Daniela smirked at Lavelle when she noticed an oddity clearly etched on Lavelle’s face.

“I don’t know, and it could be Theophile’s clothes. I don’t know what happened last night other than I was drunk—”

“Are you drunk?!” then asked Daniela, “Oh, that is so suspicious.”

“Is this weird, Danie? Oh, Danie… so sick of it,” Lavelle complained like a girl who had just hit puberty and had one night’s love.

“Lavelle, you are already nineteen years old. Isn’t the legal age in London 16 years old?” asked Daniela, raising one eyebrow.

“Danie ...”

“Um… but last night you guys had fun, didn’t you? If you two really love each other, why don’t you tell your mom that you already have a boyfriend? And they certainly won’t be worried anymore,” Daniela said later.

Lavelle pursed her lips, then took a deep breath. “Unfortunately, I don’t feel ready to introduce Theophile yet, especially since we’re clearly different.”

“Oh… come on, dear Lavelle, I can read your eye movements now. I know clearly that you are starting to fall in love with Theophile,” said Daniela.

“I did start to fall in love with Theophile but, I feel that we can’t be one because we were born from different worlds, Danie.” Lavelle pressed Daniela with her uncertainty.

“Now, I will ask you. Can a girl love a grown man in his 80s?” asked Daniela.

“It’s possible, isn’t there a lot of people like that in this world?” Lavelle asked Daniela back.

“Now! You got the answer, my dearest Lavelle! You know the answer that every living being can love each other without any distance separating them, let alone such a ridiculous difference. You just have to believe in your own choices. That’s all!” Daniela answered Lavelle’s question firmly.

“But, Danie … what if Martian rejects my relationship with Theophile?” asked Lavelle uncertainly.

“To hell with that old fart, forget him! You can be happier without an irresponsible man like the Martian! Listen to me, Lavelle, don’t think about him anymore. Look for Mom and Liza to ask their opinion,” complained Daniela with lazy eyes.

“Okay, I’ll try to persuade Theophile to take me to the cabin to get my cell phone. I don’t know where it fell,” Lavelle said later.

“Actually, you can borrow my cellphone for a while,” Daniela said later.

“Is it true that I can borrow your cell phone?” asked Lavelle uncertainly.

Daniela laughed cheerfully. “Of course, just use it because I know for sure you miss your mommy and Liza, right?”

Lavelle nodded. “That’s right, and I really can’t stay away from the two of them. Without the two of them, I probably wouldn’t have reached this point in my career achievements.”

“They are people who mean so much to you, Lavelle. They also love you with all their hearts. Maybe back then, when you were still transitioning from puberty to adolescence, they were a bit strict about controlling you because they wanted a good future for you, and they loved you,” Daniela immediately took out a smartphone from her pocket and handed it to Lavelle.

Lavelle accepted it with a hint of hesitation, but Daniela’s confident gaze made her mind shake. She smiled and immediately pressed a few digits of her home phone number. And greeted with a monotonous tone so saturated for a few minutes, before long a warm and loving voice so missed by Lavelle rang out.

“Hello?”

Lavelle was stunned for quite a while after hearing the voice, her heart soaring instantly like there was a bunch of butterflies dancing on her navel.

“Mom?”  Lavelle’s voice was hoarse when she confirmed that it was Christelle, her mother.

“Where are you, sweetheart? Why can’t your phone be reached? Come home. I miss you so much, Lavelle,” Christelle’s cry was heard on the other end of the phone.

“Mom… I’m sorry, I can’t go home right now….” Lavelle sighed.

“But why? Where are you now? Do you want me to pick you up? Are you at Shotaro’s house? Or-”

“Mom, wherever I am right now, I’m fine, Mom. I’m with Daniela, Mark, and Shotaro … you don’t have to worry. I’m fine,” Lavelle interrupted then, “I miss you, Mom.”
