Jeffrey Doctrine
Doctor Charlotte had just finished checking Lavelle’s condition, which at that time could be said to be not so healthy, he even asked a few ladies-in-waiting to make a solution of ginger water mixed with natural honey from the best queen bee. Doctor Charlotte also explained that humans are prone to fever if they experience such a drastic change in body temperature, and the result of this phenomenon is a fever, flu, or cough.
The hibiscus petals are ground and then mixed into a powder that looks so dark and a little too much. Doctor Charlotte swiftly took out a glass vial the size of a thumb and dripped the contents of the bottle into the potion.
“I suggest that Mr. Blanc give her vitamins as often as possible so that she recovers quickly.” Doctor Charlotte glanced at Theophile who was across the bed and her eyes conveyed a deep concern for Lavelle’s current condition.
“Then, what should I do so that he recovers quickly besides giving her vitamins?” asked Theophile.
“How? You should have given special care such as giving her delicious and well-nourished food, preparing some fresh fruits. And… I’m giving you a little prescription for medicine.” Doctor Charlotte handed me a medium sized torn piece of paper.
“Thank you very much, Doctor Charlotte. I am very grateful that you have been willing to serve our family during this time.”
“That should be the case, because from a long time ago, Mr. Blanc has often helped me and my family.” Doctor Charlotte answered and then packed up his medical equipment.
“But, Doctor, isn’t that a bit too much?” Lavelle got up from her slumber then without a second thought she immediately finished the potion.
Doctor Charlotte sighed, then handed something to Lavelle, a special candied berry he had bought from a town. Lavelle was a little interested in going around a town that Doctor Charlotte was referring to however, Theophile strictly forbade it for various reasons.
“You have to think about your body condition too, dear. You can’t go there with a fever like this,”argued Theophile.
“I just want to tour the city, you could even hire some of the greatest butlers to accompany me.”
Theophile chuckled. “You’re pretty stubborn and I don’t like that.”
“I just wanted to go there.”
Doctor Charlotte interrupted. “I think Mr Blanc’s words are correct, madam. It’s just that you can go there after you recover.”
“Listen to Doctor Charlotte, you can't walk very far yet.”
After a bit of a rather strange argument, Doctor Charlotte said goodbye because he was going home and promised to come back the day after tomorrow when he would give Lavelle a sedative.
A servant seemed to usher Doctor Charlotte out of the room, while Theophile immediately closed the curtains that hung framing the large window, a few minutes later he went to meet Lavelle who was still sitting with a frown on her face.
“What is your wish that I disobeyed? Haven’t I always obeyed your wishes?” asked Theophile then.
“I’m a bit hurt that you refused my request,” Lavelle grumbled.
“I just want you to get well first and we can go there together, there’s a very nice playground there.”
“Is that true?”
Before they could finish their conversation a knock was heard, and Theophile swiftly walked over to the door and opened it to welcome who had come into Lavelle’s room.

Dinner was even more different because that night many of Theophile’s brothers had dinner in the kingdom, not even a few of them which made Lavelle feel awkward and almost chose to go back to her room.
Even at dinner they were still discussing the results of a meeting that Lavelle didn’t understand, because they were discussing a territory from points A and X. Of course this made Lavelle really confused about what kind of expression after the meeting they all became a little more protective for her.
“Brother Theophile should have made a little ritual to protect the baby in your future wife’s belly,” Jeffrey muttered.
“What ritual?” asked Johnny a little curious.
“I’ve read in an ancient book that every baby in a mother’s belly there will be a demon who wants it,” Jeffrey muttered enigmatically.
Dyovacko knit his brows in a slight fury. “Don’t spit nonsense, if it’s a useless ancient book.”
“But, I really read it well. In fact, some have actually done it.” Jeffrey muttered.
Johnny took another roll of pasta and ate it then said, “We are vampires, aren’t we already like demons? Even though we still have hearts?”
“Come on, man. I’m just suggesting something good for our new extended family members.” Jeffrey dodged and glanced at Juno for support.
Juno the young vampire with a slender, slightly burly stature just smiled without paying attention to Jeffrey’s glances because he was busy eating the guacamole that was in front of him.
Yonathan’s younger brother of Theophile cleared his throat. “I think we are like demons on some occasions but, there’s a point that we don’t need to perform such rituals. Isn’t keeping it coordinated enough? And Brother Tristan when will Clementine get pregnant too?”
“Why do you ask that about Clementine?” Tristan looked at Jonathan's eyes.
Yonathan shuffled. “Yeah… I thought when I had a nephew or niece I would take him or her to play with it and I wouldn’t go to America again.”
“Is it just because of that?” asked Dyovacko.
“Of course.”
“Gosh, it’s better for you to find a partner than to trouble your brothers,” Dyovacko quipped.
Theophile cleared his throat, indicating that they should all continue with their dinner without making any senseless and slightly uncomfortable conversation. Some butlers also prepare some dish covers in the form of coated ice cream. Chocolate is so delicious it even looks very classy with a sprinkling marshmello and ruin cashews that have been crushed to powder.
It seemed that after learning that Lavelle loved such sweet dishes, Theophile asked her servants to prepare a similar dish at every meal.
“But, it wouldn’t hurt if we did the ritual for a bit—”
“Jeffrey, please be quiet. I won’t do that stupid ritual ever. I wouldn’t risk the life of someone I love just to perform such a perverted ritual,” Theophile cut in a little dryly, “We can fight it ourselves, we’re Vampires. Aren’t we already like the devil? You don’t know how the devil manipulates our minds to voluntarily perform the covenant ritual for the surrender of the holy baby? The book is like the way they manipulate.”
“But, many humans have performed the ritual,” Jeffrey argued.
“Oh my gosh, how many stupid humans are there in this world, huh? We just need to re-establish the proper coordination for this? Humans are very easily deceived, they often put their own egos forward until they end up trapped themselves.” Theophile answered at length.
Lavelle and Daniela looked at each other unable to say a word, because they didn’t know what the vampires in front of them were talking about. They can only be silent and sing a really boring song before they struggle with their respective feelings.
“I don’t want to make you all fight again but, please, there’s a pregnant woman here. Don’t make her feel even more depressed,” Tristan clenched his jaw.
Jeffrey could only nod when the doctrine he issued was not very liked, he just smiled faintly then continued his dinner. Meanwhile Theophile took Lavelle’s hand and held it tightly.
“Finish your dinner and get some rest. If you are cured I will take you around the city and whatever you want I will grant.”
