The Best Approval
“So, are you really pregnant? Daniela why didn’t you tell me this happy thing when you came home?” asked Christelle as she looked at Daniela with hope.
“Actually, I just found out, Auntie.” Daniela gasped.
“Oh, my God... so, how do you next? You guys are getting married, aren’t you? Lavelle don’t say you want to be a single parent,” Christelle occasionally grumbled to see Lavelle, who wasn’t interested in chatting, and sat on her left side.
Meanwhile, Theophile only clenched his lower lip without saying anything. The atmosphere in the room was a little tense because Christelle was so worried that her youngest daughter chose to become a single parent because of her trauma to a man—it was all Martian’s fault.
“Hmm... I wanted to get her married soon but I also couldn’t force her if she hadn’t come out of her trauma. I didn’t stop here either because I would invite Doctor Charlotte whenever needed.”
“Yes, Mrs. Christelle. We all knew very well that my little brother loved Lavelle so much, even he was willing to do anything for Lavelle. I promise to witness their marriage between this month and three months,” Tristan spoke up, followed by the approval of some of his brothers.
“Right, while Lavelle is undergoing therapy... We can prepare some of their wedding fixtures, isn’t that an epic collaboration?” asked Yonathan later.
“Sounds pretty good, I agree. If needed I will order three sets of wedding dresses from France,” Dyovacko muttered.
Christelle nudged Lavelle’s arm, hoping her youngest daughter would soon respond to the words of all those in the room. Lavelle just sighed then stared at Theophile’s eyeballs for a moment.
“I’m not ready to get married,” Lavelle said.
“But, why,” asked Christelle later, “You have a baby-to-be... why don’t you want to get married soon?”
“I’m just afraid to come back—“
“It’s enough that you think badly of every man, my dear. You should know that in this world there are men who deserve and accompany you,” Christelle said.
“Right, we better get married soon and let’s turn a new page,” Theophile said later, “Dyovacko, please order three sets of wedding dresses from now on. Order that is designed with neat stitching details and the best fabric. Wynsley, can you detail the entertainment that will be used during the event? And Jeffrey... You have a good taste for food.”
“I can do everything as long as you say everything clearly, when are you going to get married?” Johnny rolled his eyes lazily.
“Surely when Doctor Charlotte has informed her of Lavelle’s condition, and can you prepare for everything?” Theophile confirmed once again.
“Of course I can do anything for your wedding, I’ll do it right away,” Johnny replied quickly.
Theophile seemed to nod in satisfaction at the request. Even a mysterious smile tugged at her thin lips, “Mrs Christelle, you don’t have to worry anymore because we are getting married soon. I also hope Mrs Christelle is by Lavelle’s side to speed up her recovery.”
“I’ll always be happy to be by my youngest daughter’s side but can you explain to me why there are so many strange creatures here?” asked Christelle a little strangely when she saw some of Theophile’s maids who had colorful wings and long ears like not a normal human being.
“Um… that’s because—”
“And why do you have fangs like that?” asked Christelle pointing at Xaelovato, who really couldn’t hide his two pointed fangs.
Tristan chuckled then folded his legs which felt so sore. “We are indeed having a little costume party, Mrs Christelle. However, this little brother of mine has a disease that causes abnormal teething like that.”
Xaelovato nodded in understanding. “Yes, that is the truth. I do have an abnormality.”
It wasn’t long before Mark returned with a large piece of watermelon. “How about we eat some fresh watermelon to celebrate Theophile and Lavelle’s wedding day which will be in a few days.”
“Huh?”
“Who said we’d be married in a few days? We’re just saying that we’re going to get married after Lavelle’s recovery,” Theophile muttered.
Quickly Mark scratched his head which did not feel itchy. However, Mark still put the watermelon on the table then let them all eat it.

Christelle was taken for a walk around a beautiful garden near the magnificent royal building; from time to time, Christelle asked about the types of flowers planted in the garden. Daniela and Lavelle answered perfunctorily because they also didn’t know many types of flowers. At the same time, Theophile, who was always following them from behind, was silent—while she asked several maids to immediately prepare a room for Christelle, who would be staying there.
“I really like this flower garden, although it seems very crowded with flowers that I don’t know the name of, it is arranged very beautifully,” Christelle muttered.
“Me too, Mom. Whenever I felt really need some serenity I would go here to see the butterflies flying freely above the flowers,” Lavelle replied.
“Really, how about after getting married, the two of you immediately look for a house that is more comfortable with urban settlements?” asked Christelle.
“Um... I just want to follow Lavelle’s will, Mrs. Christelle,” Theophile muttered later.
“Why don’t you call me Mom? Aren’t you now the father of my future grandchild?” asked Christelle a little quickly.
Theophile rubbed his lower lip then said, “I’m sorry, Mom. I forgot about it, I’m sorry maybe I did have a lot of thoughts.”
“I understand you must be very dizzy from thinking about your work but, it wouldn’t hurt you to go look at the houses in the middle of the city, right?” asked Christelle, “I don’t mind if you guys want to stay here and that means I have to get in and out of the woods like this as much as possible.”
“Mom, I’m just following Lavelle’s request. If she wants to live out there of course I’ll do it,” Theophile said.
Christelle nodded, then continued on her way and sat in a luxurious but small-looking gazebo
