Get Married

The flames in the baberque grill looked so smoldering after being doused with water by Johnny, meanwhile Tristan, who had only been flipping beef on the grill, switched to taking a few bottles of spices such as black pepper, salt, pepper, turmeric, soy sauce, salt and olive oil from a cart.

Meanwhile, others were busy preparing side dishes such as ramen, sushi, lanchasire, tarts, bagels and some colas which were chilled by falling cubes of ice from the refrigerator.

Meanwhile, Lavelle and Daniela were busy chatting at the edge of the pool which had been lined with the best rug they had, accompanied by a cup of roselle tea with a fresh lemon in the middle—some magazines and reading books were also neatly arranged in the middle of the rug.

“Girls, let’s take your share,” Tristan mumbled excitedly when he saw that some of the meat was already cooked to a perfect texture, even looking so tempting after draining it on a large plate.

“Looks really good, may I try it?” Wynsley approached Tristan and Johnny however, Tristan just smiled and continued his words, “Of course you can try but, give the two girls first. Prioritize the girls… er… I think one of them isn’t a girl anymore because she’s pregnant with our future niece.”

“What are you guys talking about, just eat first if you want. I’m not hungry yet,” complained Lavelle who overheard their conversation because they were so close.

“But, don’t you also want perfectly cooked meat like this? Come on, I know that pregnant women often want unexpected things like that.” Tristan set aside two large pieces of roast beef that were still steaming hot smokes.

Without waiting to be asked by Tristan Wynsley to immediately go to bring the roast beef to Lavelle and Daniela who was still trying to resist the roast beef, Wynsley gently handed the two plates to them then came back again to take the special sauce made by Theophile who was now busy preparing to make a bonfire.

“Eat first since brother Theophile is taking a bit of time, we can have ramen together later,” Wynsley said.

“Why are you guys so weird? I told you I’m not hungry yet,” Lavelle complained then with a bit of a bad feeling.

Theophile who was listening to Lavelle’s complaint immediately stood up after the bonfire was perfectly lit. “Just eat the meat, don’t make our future child wait any longer to eat that delicious meat.”

“Um....”

“Brother Theophile is right, your child-to-be must have been waiting for it long enough.” Tristan chuckled and went back to grilling the other beef.

“Alright, thanks for prioritizing me,” Lavelle mumbled while eating her baberque then glanced at Daniela who hadn’t eaten the big piece of grilled meat.

“How does the meat taste? Crispy and so tempting, right?” Johnny asked then, “It’s got to be the best thing apart from Theophile’s.”

“It’s really good, even better than the ones in the restaurant.” Lavelle nodded her head.

“Next time I’ll make you something better than roast beef,” Theophile said with a slight grin.

The atmosphere became even more serene as they all sat around the bonfire that was burning with such a bright light, even warming their bodies from the cold of the night on the last day of spring. The oldest Tristan among them cleared his throat, then looked into the eyes of his brothers meaningfully hoping that there was one of them who wanted to pour out his heart with airy chest.

Shortly after there was a silence between them all, Yuta raised his hand and said, “May I pour out my heart? I’ve been thinking about this for a long time but, I want to say it here so that you all understand what I mean.”

“Go ahead, we will all be happy to listen to every outpouring of your heart.” Johnny nodded.

“This is about the family tree of all of us, within the scope of this Neo Green Peace kingdom. We are all born with two bloods, vampire blood and pure human blood, so can we have a child who has pure human blood later? Actually this was only part of my fear when Theophile's son was born and it turned out that he wasn’t a vampire,” Yonathan said.

“Why?” asked Theophile with one of his eyebrows rising.

“Would he be able to be Neo Green Peace’s successor if he were a pure human?” said Juno.

“I don’t know, after all I don’t understand if Elder Jun wants to make him a successor to Neo Green Peace,” Theophile replied.

Tristan nodded understandingly, perhaps he would give a little idea of why they did everything with Neo Green Peace with the help of Elder Jun however, he was also unlikely to forbid Theophile from marrying Lavelle because considering their Mother was a pure human.

“So, when are you married?” the question just came out of Johnny’s mouth, making Lavelle who was enjoying milk mixed with fruit and jelly choke and then coughed.

“Big brother Johnny makes Lavelle choke so often,” grumbled Mark later.

“I’m sorry, I was a little surprised.” Johnny chuckled then offered a bottle of mineral water that was still unopened.

Mark swiftly unsealed the lid of the drink bottle then told Lavelle to drink it immediately and take a deep breath, while Theophile could only nod resignedly to the encouragement of his brothers.

“We’re both getting married after Lavelle recovers from her trauma,” Theophile said.

“Are you sure you’re going to give birth to that child first before you two are legally a couple?” asked Tristan slightly asking for reassurance from Theophile because he thought Lavelle was an ordinary girl who had an overwhelming fear of the world—and it was possible that she would be afraid of her mother when she was caught pregnant out of wedlock.

“I’m not running away from my responsibilities, because it’s my future baby. I can’t possibly abandon that kid,” Theophile muttered.

“I ask you once again, because this would be a very big risk. Despite having human blood we cannot act like pure humans in general. It’s all going to be a problem in the future,” Tristan grumbled.

“I’m sure I’ll marry her as soon as she recovers, and I’ll cure her as soon as possible.”
