For Love

“Young Master Theophile, are you sure you will do this? You have decided over the years to live with Neo Green Peace, and why are you suddenly asking me to make the same potion your brothers drink?” asked Doctor Charlotte again to ask for reassurance from his Master, who was standing at the door of his house early in the morning and asked to carry out the ritual immediately.

The ritual was not a ceremony, but just like the injection of a special potion that suppressed the hunger and nature of a vampire when in the midst of humans, the potion could be used by vampires when they wanted to interact with humans in the city, it could also be used by a shifter who is unable to control his own emotions during puberty.

Theophile nodded. “That’s right, and I need the potion now. I would do anything for that girl.”

“Young Master Theophile, thirty percent of your power as a vampire will be lost if you drink the potion, you will lose your sense of smell for a few days, and you will also not easily bring up those two fangs when the time is so urgent,” explained Doctor Charlotte while they were still trying to chat while preparing a little time for himself to prepare the potion.

“I don’t care about that,” Theophile replied with an impatient face. “What I want now is that potion.”

“Alright, wait here a moment. I’ll combine it up first.” Doctor Charlotte gave up, then slowly walked behind his concoction counter.

A few silver leaves, dark purple wisteria petals, lumps of sour peach that had been specially fermented in the cauldron, not to forget Doctor Charlotte poured a few pinches of salt and sugar into the potion — stirring a little while chanting a spell Theophile knew because it had Latin origins.

Moments later, Doctor Charlotte immediately poured the potion into an antique cup and immediately gave it to Theophile. Doctor Charlotte immediately took an injection and filled it with silver liquid. Theophile, who really couldn’t wait to drink the potion without waiting for a long time, immediately swallowed it. A few minutes later, he clutched his chest tightly. His body curled up in pain all over his body like being stabbed by hundreds of knives and electrocuted using hundreds of millions of volts of wire. Fresh blood flowed from the nostrils and ears, and Doctor Charlotte was shocked between confusion and anxiety. The old doctor barely even noticed that Theophile had gone limp at once.

“Young Master Theophile! Are you alright? Young Master Theophile… it looks like your body is rejecting this potion,” said Doctor Charlotte frantically.

“This hurts so much,” Theophile groaned, falling weakly from the chair and rolling on the floor in the pain that was crushing his body.

“Young Master Theophile, let me help you.” Doctor Charlotte immediately lifted Theophile’s body and carried him to the patient’s bed.

Without waiting long, he took out the formula that was kept in a small container, and then he took out a very thin syringe. Doctor Charlotte injected the formula into Theophile’s body, causing the handsome vampire to spasm momentarily, exposing the bluish veins of his pale white skin.

“Arrgh!”

“Young Master Theophile, please wait a moment. I have given you the antidote formula so that you can recover from the rejection of the potion,” said Doctor Charlotte.

After a while, after the formula entered Theophile’s body, Doctor Charlotte explained that Theophile’s body couldn’t absorb the potion properly because Theophile’s primary strength was so muscular. Like something was blocking Theophile’s body from receiving the potion, it was higher than he had previously thought. However, Doctor Charlotte gave some pills for Theophile to eat if he felt a hunger for human blood when he was among many humans.

The pill was a mixture of chamomile flower seeds, sunflower seeds, lime leaves, and some berry seeds selected in the forest and carefully processed by Doctor Charlotte.

“Arghh!”

“Young Master Theophile, if I look at your body, it looks like you have considerable power in your body, and this ritual can’t suppress it. I really regret this because it actually makes Young Master Theophile in such pain,” Doctor Charlotte muttered, a slight feeling guilty.

“I don’t think it tortures me. I like it, and I do it for the girl I want,” mumbled Theophile, smiling broadly.

“But, Young Master Theophile, it can be very dangerous if you have something fatal, don’t make me feel guilty for causing you pain, Young Master Theophile,” said Doctor Charlotte later.

“I’m fine, and I’ll go home and thank you for the pills.”

“But Young Master.”

Theophile didn’t have to wait long before rushing out of Doctor Charlotte’s house and into his limousine — hurrying home and telling Lavelle to get ready because he was going to accompany her home that very day to see her Mommy. And perhaps Theophile would send some maids to prepare some gifts that he would give to Mother of Lavelle.

“Hey, dude. Have you seen Lavelle?” Theophile asked Mark as soon as he came to a large courtyard in front of the kingdom, in a fountain to be precise.

Mark looked at Theophile with a look that was hard to define. “Why is your face so dull? Are you sick?”

Theophile shook his head, “No, I’m fine. I’m just a little light-headed because of the busy schedule.”

“Are you sure? You look so dull and weak. Don’t you want to rest for a while?” Mark answered attentively. He even got closer and left Shotaro, who was still trying to pick up a badminton ball in a tree.

“I feel fine. I’m not sick or anything because I’m a vampire. And please answer me where Lavelle is?” Theophile put his hands in his coat pockets.

“Lavelle was in the music room with Daniela. I don’t know what they were doing with the yam and turmeric porridge,” Mark replied later.

“Um… I’m fine, and you don’t have to worry about me. I’m going to meet Lavelle for a bit, and please get ready immediately.” Theophile smiled.

Then he took quick strides up a side staircase that led directly into a room with wide, long curtains. He heard the piano playing from the music room, a sign that Tristan was playing his favorite piano after a year of not being played. Theophile could also hear the sound of a violin coming from nowhere.

Because he didn’t know if there was a violin in the music room, after he arrived at the music room door, he was a little surprised when he saw Lavelle. She strummed the violin strings very smoothly and even heard a very harmonious accompaniment to the piano from Tristan.

Theophile clapped his hands, leaving the three of them dumbfounded and turning their heads at the same time. Tristan cursed his little brother, and then he closed the piano, half annoyed.

“What do you mean by that, huh? You gave me a heart attack more than once!” Tristan groaned.

Theophile laughed, entered the room, and sat down on the small sofa. “Sorry, I purposely surprised all of you. By the way, have you prepared your luggage to go home?”

Lavelle stared at Theophile intensely. “Luggage? Didn’t I just come here in my nightgown?”

“I mean… would you like to bring some gifts for your mom? I will tell Jessica about it.” Theophile licked his lower lip enchantingly.

“I don’t think it’s necessary because it would be disturbing for you guys, and we haven’t confirmed when you’ll be dropping me off yet,” Lavelle muttered uncomfortably.

Theophile shook his head quickly. “Enough, never say that you are disturbing me. I will be delighted if I can fulfill all your requests. And what’s even more pleasure is, I’ll be driving you home this afternoon.”

“Hah?” Lavelle frowned in confusion. “Didn’t you say you would arrange it after the meeting was over?”

“I have other decisions, besides you said yesterday that the bastard was in the ICU. That gives us a bit more of a chance, doesn’t it?” asked Theophile, smiling at Lavelle. “You want to bring some dresses for your mom? I asked Jessica to prepare a nice dress this morning, and maybe she already wrapped it in a patterned cloth.”

“Theo...”

“Get ready, sweetie. I’ll wait for you to finish getting ready and at the same time have some of the drivers get the limousines ready,” Theophile said later.

“Are you sure you’re leaving this afternoon?” Tristan asked Theophile a question.

“Yeah, it’s the perfect day. And maybe I’ll stay there,” Theophile said.

“Absolutely crazy, but it’s your choice, Theo. Have fun there, leave my greetings to them, okay?”

Theophile looked at Tristan with a slightly sharp gaze, which meant nothing to Tristan. Daniela just cleared her throat and nodded, inched somewhat, and looked at Lavelle with a delighted look because she finally desired to see her mom, even if it was only for a day or two.

“I am very grateful that you want to help Lavelle to get home. I am pleased about that.” Daniela smiled at Theophile. “And it seems that you will soon become her favorite son-in-law.”

Theophile thoroughly replied to Daniela’s words with a cold smile, then looked at Lavelle. “Hurry up and change clothes. After this, we go.”

“Why the sudden rush?” Lavelle asked.

“Because I think the sooner, the better, right? All right, hurry up and get ready. I will also prepare myself.”

Lavelle just nodded quickly, then left the room with Daniela — going to her room to get ready.
