Alpha Thalia

RHEA
Words couldn't entirely describe what I was feeling. I stared at her and she did the same. She looked just like me. It felt as though I was looking at my own reflection. Her hair had streaks of purple and she definitely had a similar fashion sense. Her lips were coated with bright red lipstick just like mine was, at the moment.
She was wearing a skin-tight red dress and she rocked thigh highs as well as I did.
Seconds bound by and all we did was stare. Jaden was at a loss for words, his gaze kept fleeting from my look alike to me. And just like that, I went down memory lane, recalling what I'd seen in my second vision. Jaden had been right. There was no other way to explain this.
The woman standing in front of me was my twin. I didn't think it was a coincidence. Something was definitely up. Something really unusual. Klaus broke the rigid silence first.
"Alpha Jaden, this is Alpha Thalia. Behind her is Corey, her Beta and Alan, her Gamma"
Jaden robotically held out a hand to Alpha Thalia who stared at him like she was having a concussion and he was the only bright thing in her path. My stomach churned with discomfort, my wolf becoming restless.
I watched as they shook hands. Jaden pulled away first. If he'd looked shocked or startled by the situation a few seconds ago, it didn't show. It amazed me how his expression had gone from startled to schooled.
"Alpha Thalia, what can I help you with?" He asked and she smiled. I knew that smile all too well. It was the smile I gave my victims whenever I wanted to distract them and seduce them. The fact that she was smiling at my mate like that didn't sit well with me. So, I cleared my throat to gain her attention once more.
"Is she your Gamma or Delta?" She asked Jaden with a glint in her eyes. I clenched my fist as I counted inwardly, taking deep breaths to keep myself from exploding and lurching myself at her. It was taking so much effort. How dare she call me a Delta or a Gamma? The nerve of this wench! She might look like me, but I already despised her. 'Does she have a death wish?' I wondered
"No. She's not my Beta or Gamma" Jaden said, his gaze hot and heavy. And, it was fixed on me. Only me. He sure knows how to pull the strings of a woman's heart.
He placed an arm around my waist and pulled me closer to his side.
"She's my Luna" he added, his voice husky. My heart literally melted at that. The fact that 'Alpha Thalia' had a look of disappointment on her face made me even happier. I felt like a triumph, even if it was a small one.
"Nice to meet you..."
"Rhea" I said with a chilly smile.
"Nice to meet you, Rhea" she said with less enthusiasm.
"Alpha Jaden, I'll like to discuss pack business with you privately, if that's okay with you" The wench who looked so much like me said to Jaden, the smile on her face long gone.
"Follow me, then" Jaden said and I stiffened.
'Don't worry, I can handle her. She's not you' Jaden assured me through the mind link.
He gave my hand a gentle squeeze and gave me a kiss on the cheek. Then, he left with Thalia. She cast me a dirty glance before she went out of sight. Klaus came to stand beside me, a slight frown on his face.
"She's your twin sister. You didn't tell us you have a twin who is an Alpha" he pointed out. I exhaled slowly, curling and uncurling my fists.
"It's because I never know that she existed, until today. All along, I thought I was my mother's only daughter. I have no idea what's happening" I said, my voice sounding bitter to my ears.
"Do you think it's a coincidence that you and Jaden both have identical twins?" Chase asked.
I turned to look at him, shaking my head slowly.
"It can't be a mere coincidence" I muttered.
"I smell trouble" Klaus mumbled and I let out a long sigh.
"I wonder why she's even here in the first place. Jaden has never seen her before and she's an Alpha. Does it mean she never attends the meeting with the Alpha King?" I thought aloud.
"I have no idea, Luna" Klaus said. He might've not said it on purpose, but it meant so much to me.
Luna. That word carried so much responsibilities. It meant that I had to take care of not just my Alpha or our future pups. It meant I was practically the mother of the pack, the alpha female of the pack. I swallowed hard. Was I really ready for that kind of responsibility? Jaden was giving me time, although he had never said it. He wanted to claim me but was only hesitating because of me. We had kissed only once. Twice, if I decided to count the stolen kiss I'd shared with him the night I met him. Our connection was bone deep, soul deep as well. He was my soulmate, the one made for me. I wasn't going to let anyone ruin it for me. Certainly not Sheila, Trisha or Thalia.
....
JADEN
"Nice place you've got here" Thalia said as her gaze roved over my office. I gestured at the chair in front of my desk.
"You can sit down" I told her. She flashed me another smile that reminded me very much of Rhea.
"You must've been startled by my sudden visit. I didn't know I had a twin" she said and I stared at her, pointedly.
"Why haven't I seen you before? I should've seen you in the meeting with the alpha king since you're an Alpha" I said.
She leaned back on her seat, her movements sleek like a Cheshire cat. I disliked how much these little things I could attribute to Rhea could be found in her. It was almost eery.
"I am the new Alpha of the Red Fang Pack" she said, a challenging look in her eyes.
"How did that happen?" I asked, unable to believe what I'd just heard.
I was sure it was Alpha Jaxon who was supposed to be heading the pack, not her.
"I challenged him. Of course, he had no chance. I'm a werewolf with magic in my blood. I'm a descendant from one of the most powerful mage bloodlines in the history of sorcery" she said and I stared at her, unimpressed.
"So, what? Did you come here to show off or threaten me?" I asked.
She snorted.
"You're too uptight for goodness sake. My gosh, you're as cold as they say you are" she said and I continued to stare at her blankly.
"Fine. Here's why I'm here. I heard that your pack is one of the largest established pack and you have strong connections with werewolf packs even to the north and beyond America"
"So?"
"Is it true you made pacts with packs from Germany and Switzerland?"
I was getting annoying now.
"What exactly do you want, Thalia. Do not waste my time" I said, my patience wearing thin.
"Fine. I'll go straight to the point. I want to make a pact with your pack" she said, straightening up.
"Think about it, my pack and your pack can be allies"
I didn't like the twinkle in her eyes. I also didn't like how shady she seemed. Tarus was also not a fan of her. He was on edge and so was I.
"Fine. We can discuss more about this some other time" I said and her eyes widened.
"Just like that? I thought I would have to convince you..."
"Don't be mistaken. I haven't said yes yet, Alpha Thalia. Have a good day" I said and she rose to her feet.
"Fine. I'll see you some other time. It's no big deal. Please think carefully about this" she said and started to walk towards the door, the heel of her shoes making clicking sounds as they made contact with the floor. She stopped at the door and turned to look at me, her gaze intense.
"You don't like me, do you?" She said and I folded my arms across my chest, indicating that my discussion with her was over. But, she didn't care. She was an alpha. Of course, she wouldn't care.
"Do I have to like you?" I asked and she exhaled slowly, a hostile look in her eyes.
"My charms doesn't work on you. It's a pity" she drawled.
For certain reasons, my wolf suddenly wanted to rip her apart.
"I have a feeling that we will be seeing each other more often than we would like. I do hope you'll have a good day, Alpha Jaden. It was great meeting you. Au revoir" she said and left my office.
Once she was gone, I exhaled slowly, reining Tarus in.
"What was that about, Tarus?" I said aloud.
'She's vile. She's not someone you can trust' he responded and I sighed, burying my face in my hands. There was a knock on the door of my office.
"Come in" I said when her vanilla scent hit my senses. Rhea strode in, looking tensed. "Is she gone?" She asked and I nodded.
"That bitch..."
Her voice trailed off, her eyes narrowed. She took a measured step backwards, her gaze on something I couldn't see. She was livid now, I was afraid she was going to explode. The last time I'd seen her this angry was after she'd seen her first vision.
"Rhea, what's wrong?" I asked, rising to my feet. She didn't give me a response. She stormed out of my office. I rushed out after her, wondering why she was heading for the gates. When I finally got to her, she was standing in front of the gate, both fists clenched.
"What's going on? Why did you storm off like that?" I asked and she began to pace, her eyes still burning with fury. "The bitch cast a spell in your office. She tried to weaken your defenses and take captive of your will. She wanted to render you susceptible to her wishes" she said.
I stared at her, bewildered. It was at this point I realized what Thalia had meant when she'd said, "My charms doesn't work on you. It's a pity".
"Come on, let's go back to my office" I said to Rhea. She followed me back to my office, still fuming silently.
When we got back to the office, she walked towards the window and leaned against it.
"What did she ask you to do?" She asked, still gazing at the sky with a dark look in her eyes.
"She wanted me to sign a pact with her" I told her.
She turned to look at me.
"I knew there was something off about her. Everything about her annoys me. If she's the one I'd seen in my vision, then she's not done with us. She'll probably show up again and again"
I raked my fingers through my hair, my gaze hardening.
"Well, she'll have me to contend with" I said.
Rhea suddenly stiffened, her eyes turning blue and green. I knew she was having another episode. So, I remained by her side, waiting for it to be over.
When her eyes turned grey again, her knees buckled and she started to fall. I broke her fall, my arms wrapped around her. Slowly, I lowered her to the ground, her head resting on my chest.
Her eyes were closed and she'd gone pale.
"Rhea?" I breathed, patting her cheek. My heart sank when I realized that she was unconscious.
