The Strange Visit

RHEA
Chills invaded my body, goose bumps appearing on my skin. I was in a large hallway, leading to a courtroom. I knew because this was my palace. I walked along the hallway and entered the court room and saw myself sitting on the room with a cold look on my face.
I almost couldn't recognize myself. For a minute, I wanted to think that it was Thalia sitting on the throne. But, no. It was me. I looked around for Jaden. He was supposed to be by my side as Alpha King. Why was I the only one there? I watched with wide eyes as 'I' ordered my guards to bring in the prisoner.
A few minutes later, I heard footsteps from behind me and when I turned to see who it was, my stomach churned and nausea swept through me.
My Jaden. He looked terrible.
Three guards were leading him towards the court room with chains around his neck, legs and hands. His eyes were filled with pain and the injuries on his body looked infected. He had a beard and his hair was longer than usual.
Every step he took seemed to cause him a tremendous amount of pain. I reached up to touch him but my hands went right through him and he walked past me like I was merely air. I rushed after the guards and entered the court room.
"This is not you, Rhea! Snap out of it! You can't do this to him!" I cried. Still, I got no response or reaction from... myself.
Jaden was pushed to his knees in front of me and I rose to my feet, regarding him coldly.
"R-Rhea" he croaked, his gaze full of longing and pain.
Unable to watch this ugly sight unfold in front of me, I turned away from the scene, heartbroken.
"It is your destiny. Your light will get tainted and you will hurt the ones you love" a feminine voice said and I sank to my knees, burying my face in my hands.
...
I awoke in bed, crying. Jaden was already awake. He was standing by the window staring outside. He turned towards me and started to approach me.
"Are you... crying?" He asked and I shook my head, the tears still making their way down my cheeks.
"Rhea, look at me" he said as he lowered himself on the bed, right beside me.
I shook my head again, not wanting to look at him.
"Rhea" he sighed, moving my hands away from my face. He pulled me into his arms and I fisted the front of his t-shirt, more tears leaving my eyes.
He started to stroke my hair and I squeezed my eyes shut, agony rippling through me, at the thought of the dream I'd dreamt. I could have simply shrugged it off, saying it was a dream. But, it felt too real, too realistic to be a mere dream. I didn't want to hurt Jaden. It was the last thing I wanted to do. I wondered what the voice in my dream had meant when she'd said that my light would get tainted. Why would such a thing be my destiny?
"Bad dream?" Jaden asked and I nodded. I inhaled deeply, Jaden's scent soothing me.
"Want to talk about it?" He asked, his voice tinged with curiosity.
"I don't want to. It was terrifying" I said and he kissed the top of my head.
"I know you're a tough woman, Rhea. So, don't let those silly dreams tear you apart" he said.
I pulled away enough for me to meet his gaze. I placed a hand on his face, assuring myself that he was right there with me and I loved him. And I would never hurt him. I didn't care if those were lies, but at this point, I didn't want to keep worrying about the dream.
...
I hung out with Rain, Darryl and Klaus later that day. Darryl seemed to have warmed up to Rain and it was the same for Rain. I noticed the subtle stares they gave each other, the grins they exchanged and the way their hands made contact.
'They are making me so uncomfortable' Klaus spoke to me through the mindlink, as we played chess. I gave him a smile, knowing he was feeling left out about the whole soulmate thing. He was yet to find 'the one'. I hoped he found her real soon. I didn't want him to feel lonely.
I froze when I started to pick up strange magic around the pack house. I rose to my feet and so did Klaus. His eyes were glowing, his nostrils flared. We both walked out of the building. We found Jaden by the gate. He seemed to be having a conversation with someone who was outside of the gate. After a few minutes, he stepped aside and a young man walked in. Judging from how strong his magic was, I could tell he was much older.
"Jaden just told me he's the clan leader of the dragon shape shifters that we sensed around the perimeter. Jaden wants us to come to his office" Klaus said. Darryl rose to his feet, a brow raised.
"Clan leader? Why is he here?" He said.
The three of us went to Jaden's office and he introduced us to the clan leader who said his name was Jacobi.
"I sincerely apologise for the inconveniences. Your brother came to me and asked me to prepare my best warriors to attack your pack. But, you see, we don't do things like that" he said and I exchanged bewildered glances with Klaus.
...
I could sense an unfamiliar presence on the field, as I made my way towards Jaden's quarters. Whoever it was, was stalking me slowly. I knew he or she wasn't a member of my pack. My stalker was someone different, like a seer, a witch or a mage.
"Come out, now. Show yourself" I said. I brought my feet to a halt and turned around. There was no one in this part of the field, but I could still sense the strange presence.
"You can come out now. Show your face" I repeated, ready to cast a spell to defend myself if the need arose. I heard the footsteps first. Then, a figure stepped out of the thick darkness. An old woman wearing a black dress and a scarf around her head. Her eyes were a pale blue and there were crinkles on pale skin. She walked towards me, her movements slow and steady.
"Rhea Stone?" She said, her voice shaky with age.
"Who are you?" I asked cautiously.
"My name is Stella and I was sent to you to make you aware of the things to come" she said.
I wasn't in a mood to listen to whatever prophecy she wanted to say to me. I'd had enough of prophecies.
"What do you want?" I demanded. She stared at me, long and hard. Then, she held out a hand full of wrinkles.
"Give me your hand, Rhea" she said.
"Why should I trust you? You could bewitch me" I hissed, folding my arms across my chest. She sighed.
"You are a witch too, aren't you? You can fight bewitchment, can't you?"
I narrowed my eyes at her. She was definitely playing the wild card.
"I don't want to, now leave me alone. I've heard enough gibberish from seers. I don't want to hear whatever gibberish you have to say. By the way, how did you find your way here?" I said.
She sighed again and lowered her hand.
"I can't die without telling you what you need to know. My ancestors want me to speak to you. It is important, my dear"
I stared at her, quietly. Maybe it was the way she remained calm that made me stare. Maybe it was the subtle glow in her pale blue eyes that shut me up.
"Your string.... the string attaching you to Jaden Blackwood was created when you cast the soulmate seeking spell. He was supposed to die that night. But, something about your spell changed his fate. Whatever you do, Rhea Stone, you must make sure the strings remain unbroken. A piece of your soul has been attached to his soul and the same goes for him" she said. Her voice was nothing like what I'd just heard few minutes ago. Infact. She sounded like three different people were speaking through her.
"The prophecy of twos still stands, but you will have to fight. Fleeing is not an option"
A shiver ran down my spine.
"Finally, your first son.... he's going to be a bringer of evil. The darkness in you and your soulmate will be nothing, compared to the darkness in him. Nature and everything unnatural will fight against his coming to the world. When the time comes, you will have to make a choice. Remember, your strings must remain unbroken" she said, and right in front of my eyes, she vanished into thin air.
