Opening her eyes she felt the pounding headache coming to the surface; she closed her eyes again to let the pounding sensation die down; She opened her eyes and blinked a few times; that was when she saw a shadow near her.
“ Ahh-ummmummm! “ She opened her mouth to scream but suddenly she felt a hand on her mouth; the grip was tight enough to make any sound from her stop.
She started to click whoever the person was; the masculine hold on her legs made her eyes widen; panic filled in her veins as she looked at her person.
Instantly; She came across the ever Ocean blue eyes ever; so mesmerizing, so serene, looked so pure yet ruthless; being drawn in them was welcomed in her thought with open hands.
“ Beloved! “ her mind screamed at her before her eyes widened in shock. Tyler was observing every activity of hers.
Tyler moved his eyes toward the hand that was covering her mouth; She followed his eyes as he shook his head, he did not want her to scream and scare the entire vampire population in the castle.
“ No screaming hmm? “ he said to her as she nodded.
He slowly removed his hand from her mouth; she took a deep breath to calm her insides down; the sudden realization that the person who was standing in front of her was her beloved shattered her world the very second.
All her life she lived for others; it was hard to believe there was someone born for her; just for her.
“ They did not give you anything for days, I am sure you are hungry, “ Tyler said; his voice was way softer than natural.
She diverted her eyes at him and then at the entire room; She could make out it was a luxurious room; which means she was still in the palace or maybe…
“ You were the one who gave me that injection? “ Zia’s first word to him made Tyler think for a second.
“ Yes, “ the word rolled down his tongue even before Tyler could think; the fear on her face did not set well with him; he does not know why but he lied to her.
“ thank god, “ she looked around and then looked at him with a smile that took his heart away.
“ your food, “ her eyes diverted towards the takeout packet of burger that Tyler was offering her; she bite her lower lip.
She cannot eat this food; she can only have blood.
Still, she took it from his hand hesitatingly; “It is cold, “ She said as soon as she touched the packet.
“ Umm… sorry, this place is far from the city, “ Tyler said, feeling slightly not okay that he cannot even provide food for the one who is his love.
His shoulders turned down in distress.
“ Hey, it is fine, at least you tried, “ Zia said as she looked at him; he gave her a small smile.

“ Tyler, “ he said as he held her hand in his gloved one. He could not see her shivering each time because of his cold touch so he wore gloves.

“ the castle, “ Zia’s eyes widened in fear; did he not know those vampires were behind her life?
As if he could read her mind; he said, “ They won’t harm you anymore, “ his tone was assuring.

“ yeah but just to suck off blood! “ Zia was terrified for her life; she did not realize what she was saying; she was a vampire.
“ They need humans, without humans they cannot stay hidden from the world’s eye, “ Tyler said to her as he looked into her eyes.
“ trust me when I say none of these Vampires will do a thing to you, you are safe, “ Tyler said as he held her hand.
Zia’s eyes diverted between their intervening hands as she sucked a deep breath; ‘ he does not know I am a vampire too, ‘ She thought before looking into her beloved eyes.
She nodded her head at him and said, “ at least there is one human to give me company, “ She chuckled but Tyler stilled.
‘ She is thinking of me as a human, ‘ he thought.
“ you should get fresh, “ Tyler said; he needed some time to digest the fact; in a single conversation with her, he had already lied twice.
“ umm yeah, “ Zia said as she kept her hand on the bed but soon a painful moan escaped her lips.
“ Zia? “ Tyler quickly turned his head at her and saw her holding her hand.
“ What happened? “ he asked with such tenderness that Zia’s heart filled with love.
“ umm... it's nothing, when I ran away earlier, I think I injured myself well, “ She said as she kept her hand still so that it does not pain.
“ we should go to a doctor, what if it is a fracture? You will be in pain, “ Tyler said.
“ Tyler, I will be fine, trust me, I get injuries like this all the time, “ Zia said hurriedly as she looked at Tyler; she did not like one but to lie to him but she cannot help it, she has to lie, a human doctor would not be able to wrap his mind around the fact that how a crushed hand’s bones are healing itself without any medication.

“ ill be fine, see? “ She slowly moved her fingers; she was gaining the bone back; she smiled inwardly; her powers were working again.
“ Okay, “ Tyler said as she gave him a small smile.
“ Zia? “ She was about to open the door of the bathroom when Tyler’s voice stopped her.
“ hmm? “ She asked with the same small smile playing on her lips.
“ Why did you try to steal the resistance stone from the vampire king? “ there came the question she did not want to answer ever in her life.
