" Yes," suddenly Ellie's eyes become distant as she looked at Zia.

"What happened?" She asked.

"All these years, I knew, it was difficult to process it, there were times when I saw you enjoying blood like it was a soft drink but later when I knew what you did and why you did it, I was upset," Ellie said as Zia held her hand.

"I did whatever I had to save my family, if you were in my place you would have done the same," she said as Ellie nodded.

"Seeing you with Tyler was nice, a few hours ago when you asked me indirectly about being a vampire, I knew it was time for you to know the truth," Zia nodded.

She would have been in her misconceptions if it was not for Ellie, she was grateful for that.

"You sure you don't want to stay?" She asked Ellie once again.

"I never told you but I am tired of waiting for him," Zia knew what her grandmother was talking about, she was talking about her husband her grandfather, the man she loved with all her myth.

"Now what about Tyler," Ellie asked Zia looked away.

"Something is missing," Zia said the truth for the first time to her grandma and her.

She knew all along but she was not ready to accept it.

"I know what you are talking about," Zia looked at her grandmother and took a deep breath.

She was thinking it was a curse, she was the cursed vampire.

Hot-blooded cursed vampire Queen.

"I too loved someone once but I got to know the value when I lost it," she said.

"You mean I have to lose him to have my feelings back for him? The price is too high grandma" Ellie shook at her granddaughter.

Even though she was a vampire queen, she was still naive.

"Do not lose him but try to be away from his love then maybe you will get your feelings back," Ellie suggested.

"You sure this can work?" She asked.

This idea was reckless.

"It will," she said.

"How so? " Zia asked.

"Just... Know... It will," she said before she got up, Zia held her hand and helped her get up.

Slowly walking her back to the room, Zia helped her to get back into the bed.

She felt lighter, a lot lighter as she told her grandmother all that she had in her mind. All these years she could not say these things to anyone but now she was free, free from her consciousness being caged behind the bars of a lie.

She walked to her room and looked at the photo of her and Tyler kept near the bed.

Suddenly her mind went back to this morning when she woke up in the hospital.

Her head was stinging but what made her question her surroundings was the scent that lingered in the air.

Suddenly a nurse entered the room, her face was covered but Zia could make out from the movement of her cheeks that she was smiling at her.

Zia smiled back as the nurse went ahead and checked her pulse.

"Everything looks fine Ms. Zia, sign here please," she said as she took a glance at the papers and signed them.

The nurse was about to leave the room when Zia called her as the nurse looked at her, "yes mam, do you need anything?" She asked.

"Was anyone here in this room? I mean when I was asleep?" Zia asked, she could say when she was passed out but a little more of the appropriate language would not hurt right.

"Umm... The man who got you here and the doctors and no else than me," she said as Zia nodded.

"Is everything okay mam? Why did you ask?" The nurse questioned.

"Oh, nothing, just a little allergic to some scents that's why I asked," the newer almost nowhere relates with the question.

The nurse gave her a confused look before she nodded at her and walked out

Zia took a deep breath to calm herself but she inhaled the scent once again.

She was confused other than Tyler's scent no one's scent made her calm. Then why was the air around her made her feel at peace?

She knew it was not the guard's, she knew the scent for years but this one was new

*Maybe someone in the hospital had a very nice choice of perfumes*

She tried to reason with herself but she knew something, something was different around her.

She did not want that change but the change was happening and she had no control over it.

Soon she was discharged as her guard came with a car as she walked towards it, she was fine but her grandmother was waiting worried at home for her daughter to get back, that was the only reason Zia was leaving in a car and not by a walk.

She was upset with Tyler but she let it slide and asked him not to come to her.

She was not looking ahead but her eyes went to the figure near the forest that was looking at the hospital for a second.

He was far, Zia could not even make out if it was a guy surely.

She let it slide as her heartbeats increased suddenly, keeping a hand on her heart she frowned, Tyler was not here then why her eyes were wandering around looking for him?

She shook her head when the guard asked her if she was in any kind of discomfort.

Zia looked at Tyler's photo and caressed it.

She missed him, the old him.

People change, she knew but vampires change? That was new to her.

Taking in a moment, she took a packet of stored blood and took a sip directly from the packet.

Her heart calm as she felt better, getting back in bed, she looked at the moon hugging Tyler's photo as she welcomed sleep into her eyes.
