Tyler picked up his phone on the first ring, ace called him as he walked out of the hospital, the freaking place was so quiet that his voice was echoing.

He needed some space, " yes ace?" Tyler asked as he held his breath.

This was difficult for him to pretend that he was fine when he was not.

" King, the queen is safe, she had 3 stitches but she is fine," ace informed him as Tyler breathed in relief.

"When she'll wake up?" He asked biting his lip, anxiety was not his thing until now. He could not deal with it well 20 years ago when she took the wound that was supposed to be on him on her body.

He could not deal with it now, he was anxious.

"In around 24 hours, the doctors said," ace replied to him.

"Arrange heaters for her, she will recover soon in heat," he told ace as he hung up the call.

"Thank God, you are safe love," he said to himself in the empty room.

Ace arranged a few heaters for Zia's room immodestly as he went back to the room Zia was shifted to.

A nurse came inside the room as she looked ace, well he was a fine man with 6'1 height, he towered over her 5'5 figure easily.

"Patient's paperwork is still left," she said to him as he nodded.

"I cleared the bill," he informed her as she handed him the papers.

"She is your..." The nurse asked.

" She is my sister," he said to the nurse who was enjoying the sharp look of his jaw.

"Umm... Mind if I ask how this happened?" She said as she looked at him.

Ace took a deep breath, *human, she is a human*

He thought before he answered her, " she was driving and suddenly something came in front of her car, probably an animal, her car collided with the tree," he said.

The nurse shivered with the coldness he said all that, how can a brother be so insensitive towards his sister? Most family people, talk with so much softness, even crying at times but he was different.

*Maybe cuz he was not a human*

" Umm... Okay... Sign here big guy," she said jokingly to him as he signed.

He put a strand of her hair behind her ear as she sucked a Breath, " you are right, I am a big guy," he said as he winked at her, the nurse blushed beet red at him before she walked out of the room.

It was the middle of the night when ace saw Zia moving her hand, he immodestly called Tyler who picked on the second ring.

" Is everything okay?ace, " Tyler asked as he excused himself and went to a quieter area.

" Is she alright?" He asked as ace looked at Zia who was slowly waking up.

"She is waking up, king," he said as Tyler smiled to himself, she was coming back to consciousness, what can be better for him than this?

" Take me on video call now," he ordered as ace hung up and video-called him the next moment.

Now Zia had opened her eyes and was looking around her.

"Hey baby," Tyler said as ace turned the phone to Zia.

"Tyler," she whispered his name as she felt her eyes moist a little, she was seeing him after 3 days.

"Ace, leave us alone for a moment, will ya? " Asked Zia as ace nodded and walked out of the room.

" God, I missed you so much," she said as she looked at him through the phone screen.

" You missed me so much that you chose to get into an accident?" He asked as he kept looking at her, he could divert his eyes from her.

Seeing her every day was a privilege, and he did not have that for the last 3 days.

"Does it hurt?" He asked as he looked at her worriedly.

For a second Zia could see the old Tyler in him who could do anything for her and had Solutions to every problem of hers.

" Ummm... Not much, I am healing, thanks to the heaters bere," she said chucking as Tyler nodded, he did right when he asked ace to order in heaters.

" I..." Zia did not know what to say to him. She was confused and still angry with him


" I will be there first thing in the morning, I reached Alaska airport just now," Tyler said as opened the door of his car and started walking into the airport.

" What but why?" She asked, the Tyler she has grown to know does not leave his work for anyone, not even her.

Maybe that is why in the course of protecting her, he forgot she needed him the most.

"Zia, you are sick, you are that the hospital, I am supposed to be there, spoil you with all the aftercare I can provide," he said because he knows she will be healed even before he will reach there.

With time, her powers were increasing maybe even more than hers but in between humans, she was like a normal human.

None of her vampire powers worked among humans.

"Tyler stop, listen I am fine here, it was all my fault, the road was slippery, I had to drive fast, and then boom everything turned black," she said making a cute face at the end.

Tyler shook his head at her

" How does that connects to me traveling there?" Tyler asked.

" You have work typer, I was upset, i... We... We fought and then ace was following me... Everything that happened... You know I will heal even before the sun's rays strike this room," he shook his head at her, she was right.

" But—"

" No ifs no buts, complete your work and take me on a Holiday," she was as he smiled.

"Amsterdam?" He asked.

" Yep, I need to see tulips again, been too long, " she said as he smiled. It was the place he took her to their first anniversary.
A week-long vacation and lots of time together.

" I love you and talking to you but ace might need his phone back," she said as he smiled.

" Yeah... Love you too, " he confessed before she hung up.
