The words from him. made her stilled, the only and very question Zia so wanted to ignore to her best.

She turned around and stared into his eyes, the blue heaven.

Tyler studied her face, he very well knew she was contemplating whether to even say anything or just ignore him.

He's my beloved, I do not want to lie to him but telling him the truth will create a dent in our life from the very start, I am already lying to him.

She opened her mouth to speak right then there was a knock at the door.

" Tyler, " It was James on the other side of the door,1 Tyler did not want her to know anything about him being a vampire.

" It's the vampire, right? " The sudden look of fear crossed Zia's face as she said that.

" Zia—"

" Don't you dare lie to me Tyler, I have heard him, he was with the vampire King, " Zia said as Tyler's plan of not telling her a thing went down the gutter.

Tyler walked towards her and cupped her face in the softest way possible, he looked right into her eyes and said, " he is a vampire but like I just assured you, no one, I repeat, no one will even touch a strand of your hair, "

She licked her lips as she nodded.

" Why?" She asked when his hand reached for the door.

" Because they need me," he said before he walked out of her room.

Zia sighed if he is saying that those vampires need him and till now no one came to kill her then she is safe.

James looked at Tyler who just walked out of the room, he did not say a thing and started to move toward his study.

" She is my beloved," Tyler said.

" I know that and it's not what I was going to ask," James said as he took a seat.

" I lied to her already, I do not know how she will react once she finds out the truth about me being a vampire, " he said as he pulled out a packet of stored blood from the cold storage and started to drink it.

Well, humans wanna save humans, and donate this blood to blood donation camps, at least this way, his need for blood gets satisfied and nobody from the human population faces his wrath.

" So she does not know you're a vampire?" Tyler looked at him, right at this moment, he looked like the biggest idiot on the planet.

Why was he just repeating his words?

" I were to tell her but she assumed I was the one who saved her from the vampire King, " Tyler groaned

" And that's you, " James' lips curled upward.

" Stop smiling you fucker, it's a real problem, " Tyler said.

" She's your beloved, she will come around, she can't leave you, I know you're annoying as fuck but still the little human is stuck with you for centuries and centuries, " James said

But Tyler's face turned dark, " if she wishes for a normal human life with me then I'll never force her to become a vampire, " he said.

" Are you fucking nuts, Tyler? Living without a beloved? You can't do that, anyone can't do that, " James raged, he knew the pain, he knew what it was like to die every second and still be breathing.

He didn't wish the same to happen with his friend.

" And what about our people? What will they think? That their king let their Queen die? That too a human death? " James commented to make him understand.

" They'll think, I loved her enough to let her go,"

" Tyler you have gone mad in love, " James said helplessly.

" She and I can play this game for centuries, she can live with me, die and come back, I'll find her again, " Tyler said with a small smile playing on his lips.

" And what if her soul rests in peace? " Now this made Tyler shut his mouth.

" What if she doesn't come back once she dies?" Tyler was silent.

He didn't know what to do or say, the very thought was making it hard for him to stay in the very room and not to run into her arms.

" Tyler saying these things are easy but the pain takes your life and leaves you breathing, " James said as he looked at his friend.

" Did she tell you about anything regarding why she tried to steal the resistance stone?" James asked.

" I had asked but I knew she was not going to answer me or say the truth to me, and then you knocked, she recognized your voice and was terrified, she wasn't in the state to tell me anything and I didn't want lies, " Tyler explained the whole thing to James.

" She'll come around dude, " James said before he walked out of the study room.

Tyler facepalmed himself, Could only think of how her eyes turned into fear when she heard James' voice.
She was too damn scared.

He does not know how he will break the truth to her but before that, he needs to know why she tried to steal the resistance stone.

He was in his thoughts when he heard some sound from the kitchen area.

" Zia" was a scarf for her life, none other than James knew she was his beloved, what if someone from the guards attacked her?

He ran out of his study only to find Zia with open cold storage and bags of blood on the floor.

" Zia..." She stared at him with open eyes, the shock was very much visible on her face.

" What are you doing here? " He asked as he sat on his knees to help me pick up the mess.

Zia looked at the blood and said," I was looking for food, this is the kitchen so I thought there must be something to eat as you stay here as well, "

His face softened, "I eat out, there's just this blood for vampires here, " he said as he kept the packets back and closed the door of cold storage.

" Why packets? " Zia asked.

" This is donated blood, vampire King doesn't kill humans just for the fulfillment of bloodthirst," Tyler said, he wanted to justify his actions in front of her, even when she did not know who he was, he did not want her to misunderstand him as the vampire King.
