Tyler’s guilt intensified when he saw how Zia ran back to her room; he thought she was so disgusted by the stored blood that she wanted to be away from it as soon as possible and the fact that she did not turn around to look at him; hurt him more.
“ James, “ Tyler called him as he walked towards him.
“ yeah? “ he asked as he stood in the kitchen.
“ get this cold storage out of here and arrange human food, “ Tyler ordered.
“ umm but—“
James wanted to say something but Tyler cut him off; he wanted all the blood out of the castle, or at least away from Zia’s reach; the poor girl was just looking for food instead she came to know how much blood packets are stored in the castle, he thought.
All this was making it way more difficult for him; if she is acting like this just after seeing blood, what will she do when she will come to know about him being a vampire?
“ Tyler, “ James wanted to convince him but Tyler’s guilt was not leaving him even for a second.
“ She saw the packets J, She was so disgusted, do you even know how worse I am feeling right now? I cannot even provide food for her, she’s been hungry for as long as she woke up, “ Tyler’s groaning voice was a clear statement about how he felt.
James was getting worried for him too; “ I’ll make the arrangements, why don’t you take her out for dinner? “ He suggested, wanting to be some help for his friend.
“ but you know very well I can’t eat, “ Tyler reasoned.
“ order food and send me a message, I’ll call you and you can pretend to be busy until she finishes her food, how does that sound? “ James said.
“ but letting her eat alone in a restaurant, leaving in the middle, that is super rude James, “ Tyler said.
“ make any excuse, you got to do this if you want to feed her, rest assured, I’ll get every possible human grocery before sunrise here, “ James replied.
“ Alright, I’ll go ask her, “ Tyler was never this nervous even when he was at war with other vampires around 20 years ago.
He dared to go to the battlefield all alone and win but here, he was afraid to ask his beloved out for a dinner date.
On the other hand, Zia was sitting on the bed trying hard to control the urge to go downstairs and drink that blood. She had dug her nails into the woolen blanket and was trying her best; she had even locked herself to be far away from blood.
Knock! Knock!
She was starting to calm down when the light knock on the door. She did not know who it was that’s why her Vampire's eyes were visible because of fear.
“ Zia? Zia, it’s me, Tyler, “ she calmed down immediately when she heard Tyler’s voice.
“ Yeah coming, “ She said as she fixed her hair; her eyes turned back to normal as she pulled the door open.
“ hi, “ he breathed as his eyes fell on her; she was just so beautiful to him.
“ hey, “ Zia felt shy under his graze; even though he was staring at her; she never felt the need to hide. She felt safe under his graze. The way he looked at her made her feel as if she was the only woman in his life.
“ umm… “ Zia could tell how nervous he was. She smiled inwardly; she loved him already.
“ hmm…” She played along as she hummed at him; holding the door in her hand as she put her head against the door. She liked staring at him.
She could not help but notice his sharp features, ocean blue eyes, and plum lips; she so badly wanted to kiss him, she would have if her mind had not reminded her that he is a human, take it slow, take it slow!
“ you did not eat today so i... I wanted to take you out for dinner tonight, would you—“
She did not let him complete his words as she said ” Yes, “ she said as he smiled.
“ Get ready, I’ll pick you up in half an hour. “ Tyler said.
“ Okay, “ She smiled as she looked at him; Tyler turned around and started walking; Zia was still at the door; looking at his retreating figure with a smile.
He turned his head back only to find her looking at him with a smile; his heart started to beat faster as she blushed under his graze. He kept looking at her again and again until he reached the stairs.
Zia closed the door of her room; she felt like a teenager again; she was excited yet nervous, the same was with Tyler; he was smiling like a fool when James came to his room, and his closet was messy.
He was trying on every shirt and then throwing it away after looking at it.
There was not much makeup available to Zia so she kept her look simple and wore a red bod cone dress with thin straps; her cleavage was visible but it gave off a sexy look.
The dress reached to her knees with a side slit after her mid-thigh; she was ready to meet her date when there was a knock on the door.
She looked at herself in the mirror one last time before she opened the door; the sight took her breath away, Tyler was standing in a black shirt and pants; his blazer hung on his arm, and his well-set hair.
The light stubble on his face made him look even more attractive.
“ If I knew how to whistle, id whistle right now, “ the words came out of her mouth even before she knew what she was saying.
Tyler’s eyes widened at her bold comment for a second but when he saw her nervous and blushing; he understood that was kind of a reflex action of her words.

The sparks were felt by both of them; they looked at each other for a second before walking off.
