Zia closed her eyes and rested her head on the pillow behind her back. She felt different when she was sleeping.

She had practically passed out. But when she was starting to wake up, she smelt a scent, there was something very different about it.

She wanted to look around but her passed-out state was not allowing her, she does not know why she did not allow Tyler to come back to her.

He wanted to come to Mexico, he wanted to be near her but she did not allow him.

She gave a very stupid reason to stay back when all she wanted was to have him back, to have his old self back.

*Knock! Knock!*

She opened her eyes when she heard a knock on the door, " come in" she said as ace came in.

She handed him his door as she leaned back on the bed.

" How bad was I?" She asked as ace sat on the chair near the bed.

She was the Queen he was not supposed to be on the same level as hers.

"Out from the time I reached there and for the next 4 hours queen," he said but he did not dare to look in the eye to her.

She had asked him not to follow her but still he did, he did not follow her orders.

"Ace..." She called his name as he looked at her.

" You need something queen?" He asked as he stood up.

"Yes... I need you to stop feeling guilty about it," she said, she could read him like a book, but he was too expressive when he was in front of her.

"But queen—"

He wanted to argue but one glare from her was enough for him to shut his mouth.

" Yes I am angry that you follow his orders, not mine," she said referring to Tyler.

" But if you were not there, I would have bled to death," she said.

"Sorry to interrupt you queen but if I had not followed you, you would have had a driver too hard...and that accident would not have happened too," he said as he looked away from her.

"Still... You are the reason I am alive today," she said with a small smile.

" You forgive me, queen?" He asked confused. She nodded as he smiled.

" Now, Ace, I will like to have my own space, you can go back to the house, my car had some groceries in it, give them to rose and tell her I got some underwent work, she will manage grandma," she ordered as ace nodded.

"I am. allows coming back, Queen?" He asked.

"Yes, " she said to him before he walked out of the room.

She knew her wounds will heal totally till the morning, she cannot let Ellie know anything about the accident, she will just start to blame herself and another self-blaming person is the last thing Zia wants to handle.

The pain I was experiencing was unexplainable, I never felt this way before, and wearing the clothes Justin gave me, I walked inside the hospital.

" Mam, wait here your turn is next," the nurse said to me as I sat in the waiting area.

There were not many people and only some doctor was there to see patients others were working on emergency cases.

The urge to use the washroom got too as I stood up, " where's the washroom?" I asked as she looked up from her laptop.

" A straight from here then a right and then straight again," she instructed me as I nodded and thanked her.

Walking straight from there I was about to turn to the right when my legs suddenly stopped, and the pain increased.

I looked around me, there were several private rooms there.

My legs took me to the left when I needed to walk right.

My heart started beating faster when I came in front of a certain room.

Crying sounds were heard as I stood outside. The door was slightly ajar.

I stood a little closer to listen to what was happening.

" You can't leave, this is too soon for you to leave," a lady was saying something to the guy who was on the bed, her tears kept escaping from what I could tell from her shaking shoulders.

" I... I have to..." The guy said in a low voice as I gulped. The shivers in my body were unmissable by me.

"Xaya, are you feeling what I am feeling?" I asked my wolf as she came to the surface.

" I afraid I am," she whispered back as my heart dropped.

This... This can't happen, this can't be true.

I opened the door a little more as I left my feet carrying me a little forward.

" Devine... Do not leave me alone..." The girl said to him as he held her hand.

I still did not have a nice look at his face but his musky scent had made its way to my senses.

The shivers were a clear indication of what I was thinking, the immense pain in my chest grew once again as I slowly felt my knees getting weaker.

"I love you... I'll... I'll come with more time next birth," he said as he struggled to breathe.

" I hate you, I hate you, I hate you," the girl looked at him as he gave her a painful smile.

"Mate!" Maya screamed at me as I felt my world collapse.

"Mate!" Maya screamed once again as I opened the door a little more to have a look at his face.

Many machines were attached to his body, an oxygen mask was attached to his face as he took deep breaths looking at the girl totally in love.

The pain was clear in his eyes, he did not want to leave, I could tell.

I stumbled on the door and fell to my knees, my... My mate was... Dying and he loved someone else.

" I am sorry," he whispered to her before he closed his eyes the machines started beeping loudly as the woman started sobbing.

She was sad but I was shattered, I just watched my mate die right in front of my eyes. And I could not do a thing.

Nothing at all.
