“King,” Ace, the guy who was following Zia called Tyler as he drove towards the hospital.
“Ace, is everything okay?” He asked; Tyler was stuck in Alaska, and he could not even come with Zia, calling her or meeting her was just out of question because of how busy he was.
“King, Queen had an accident,” as soon as the words escaped Ace’s lips Tyler’s world stopped.
“Ac—accident?” for the first time in his life, he shuttered with his words.
“I am taking her to the hospital, she lost some blood but she is fine and breathing,” He said as Tyler tried to handle himself. He wanted to run to her right then but he was struck in Alaska.
“Tell me as soon as you get to the hospital,” Tyler said as he took a seat.
“Yes king,” Ace said before he pressed the accelerator harder. He glanced at Zia and found her bleeding in the backseat of the car.
He cursed under his breath as he tried to drive faster; the hospital came into view as he picked Zia up in his arms; her face was once again covered with her hair.
“Doctor, emergency!” He said as a few ward boys came with a stretcher; he laid Zia on that before they got her inside the hospital. Soon the doctor came and checked Zia’s plus, a nurse was asked to check her oxygen levels and blood pressure level.
Ace on the other hand was trying hard to control himself in between humans; it was blood all around him; he needed to control his thirst for blood; he was there to get his Queen to have treatment on time, not to be tempted from the blood all around him.
They took her for a test and cleanup and ace was asked to stand outside. Ace pulled out his phone to call Tyler as he picked on the first ring itself.
“How is she?” he asked impatiently
“They have taken her inside for tests and clean up, king,” He replied in a low voice; he could not bear the risk of anyone hearing his or Zia’s real identity. Humans know about vampires that exist only in their books and it should stay that way only.
“Okay,” Tyler replied before he hung up; taking her photo in his hands he looked at her beautiful smile.
‘ all of this is only my fault, if I had not sent ace behind her when all she asked for was a little space from being around guards, maybe…, maybe any of this would not have happened,’
He thought to himself as for the first time in 176 years, a tear rolled down his cheek as he prayed.
“Please, save my love, please,”
Yes, the vampire king prayed to the power of the universe to save his love from death.
“Zia…”
“Zia…”
“Zia…” he did not don’t saying her name like a prayer as he kept his eyes closed, praying to the power.
Justin entered one of the rooms to find a few hospital gowns and staff uniforms kept there; he smiled, at least the moon goddess was helping him.
He was quick to wear the uniform before he walked out of the door to find that woman who had his heart beating for her.
He found the same guy from earlier sitting in front of the ICU as the doctor came out, “How is she doctor?” He asked the guy whose face was covered with a mask.
“She is fine, though we need to keep her under observation, she is under sedatives, 3 stitches,” The doctor told him, Justin could hear all of this from far thanks to his werewolf’s hearing ability.
The guy nodded before he went out with his phone in his hand. He walked near the room and covered his face with the mask.
He did not want that vampire to recognize him; he opened the door of the room and his heart started beating faster once again.
His breath quickened as; he did not know what was happening to him.
The annoying beeping sound of machines reached his ears as he turned to look at a girl with strawberry blonde hair sleeping on the bed.
His breath stopped.
“MATE!” Xavier whispered at him as his eyes widened.
“MATE!” this time Xavier stared at him as he forgot to breathe; the girl in front of him was his mate. The girl who was bought to the hospital by a possible vampire was his mate.
As if the universe wanted to connect to him, the lights of the entire hospital went, and a beep sound echoed throwout the hospital; he could hear a senior doctor yelling at the staff to start the second emergency systems
But he cared less about it; his vision allowed him to still her beautiful face as he walked near her.
Being near the one with whom you are supposed to spend the rest of her life is a blissful experience; he can't describe the joy he is feeling.
It was about to be midnight but for him, his wait of 16 years came to an end as he found her; the girl who was only made for him.
He held her hand as her fingers connected to his; he felt the shivers on his skin as he smiled; mates wolves always told him about feeling shivers whenever you’d touch your mate and with time, the shivers become a part of your life.
He was experiencing the shivers for the first time in 36 years of his life.
“You have no idea how long I have waited for you,” he said as he saw Xavier nodding at the back of his head.
He checked her pulse; she felt normal but yet so different; his eyes widened as he realized something; she was a human.
A human bough by a vamprire.
He could have given a thought to it but heard footsteps coming towards the room, probably the vampire who bought her to the hospital must have come to check on her. .he looked at her one last time before he jumped down the window and quickly moved to the other room.
