Chapter 20. Dreamy Baby

Bahm

"WHERE IS SHE!"

I turned my head throughout the darkness I teleported into.

"Something's wrong!" Kris hollers uncontrollably coming down the staircase. He sounds like he's been crying.

"Not again...” I sighed

“BAHM!

SOMETHING'S WRONG!

We have to check on her!"

He cries, stumbling down the last few flight of stairs right up to me.

I caught him in my arms. You could smell the liquor around his breath.

"What are you talking about tonight, Kris?
Calm down so I can understand—"

"HUNNIE!" He shrieks.

This is the worst drunken stupor I've seen him in lately.

Just what on heavens earth is his problem!

"It's...it's Hunnie.
I think somethings wrong with her." His voice cracks and emotions of regret and pain begin coursing through my veins.

"Wait..what?
Who?"

"WE HAVE TO CHECK ON HER, RIGHT NOW!" His voice cracks again when he tries yelling out.

"I can feel it, she needed help....I....I had a horrible dream and—"

"KRIS WHO!"
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!"
Yelling finally, I grab his head to focus on just me.

"Hunnie...

The...

The D-Dark Witch." He stammers. My whole body freezes by his statement.

Can he sense her on me?

Does he know I was just over her place?

"Ummm...what...about her?" I say, sliding my hands off his face.

Why was he crying again?

"I-I think something's wrong!

We have to check on her!" He says demandingly just as Rix pushes to my surface.

He always wants to see that dreadful woman!

"No Kris.” Nonchalantly, I shook my head, taking a step away from him, pretending I really had no clue what he was talking about.

Damn, can he too smell her blood?

"Bahm PLEASE!

WE HAVE TO!

I...

I...

Still have this...b-b...bond to her.”

He grows quiet, following me around the parlor after I told him I refused to be around her, and how I didn't think it was good for him either.

Eyeing his disheveled, naked state, I walked into the kitchen and away from him. The sound of his knees dropping to the carpet is heard before he starts whimpering.

The woman Is fine!

I can hear her eating and chewing quickly away in her house, but he didn't need to know that. I didn't think I could be around her presence again. There's something different about that Dark Witch and I didn’t want to be around to find out.

Grabbing a gallon of water in the fridge, glass shatters to my side before Kris yells, “FUCK” and I swallow harshly, nearly choking as I face him.

"I'm so tired of this!

WHY DO I STILL HAVE TO BEAR IT ALL!!!"

He bellows loudly, throwing glass decor all through the parlor. The shards were scratching his legs and feet. I could smell traces of my blood mixed in with his, sending a sense of alarm to my brain.

Using my supernatural speed after hearing Lydia wake up, I straddled Kris from behind, constricting his body from all maneuvers.

"Stop right now!

I'll fucking take you to her, and show you she's fine!

THIS SHIT STOPS, TONIGHT!"

Bellowing in his ear.

"I hate this!

I shouldn't have to deal with this from a child because some woman!"

"How do you... How do you know she's fine?" He sobs and I let him go instantly.

Shit!

I almost gave myself up. I couldn't show that I was still thinking about this woman!

"Where is she?

Hurry before I change my my mind."

“Wait, let me get pants!" He sobers up almost immediately and runs upstairs.

Kris Tang's P.O.V

After running back down to the parlor now wearing a black track suite and beanie, I slowly approached Bahm, whom seemed annoyed and tensed as his back faces me. I also didn't forget that he called me a child.

If only he knew how much pain I was hiding.

"Are you ready?" I say and he only turns to shoot me daggers with dark and bothersome eyes.

'Where is she right now?"

Do you even know where she lives!" He says so aggressively, as I began thinking.

I saw her walking by the beach...it must be close to wherever it is she lives, right?

"Um...

Yeah...

Teleport us to that beach I brought you to with Lydia!" I say in our link as I hear Lydia making her way out the room.

I actually didn't know where she lived, but a flash back of reading her pregnancy papers, came to mind. I remember the number for her house!

"Is someone there?" Lydia calls out from upstairs.

"Yes, it's me and Kris.

We'll be back." Bahm hollers back, giving her a more soft and approachable tone than he had been giving me. I tried to not let it bother me.

After, we teleport to the beach when Lydia heads back to bed, I began pointing in the direction to where I saw Hunnie the day we were driving and when I almost crashed the car.

"Can you bring us behind that spot, where it's dark?" Pointing across the street, we arrive and I began reading the numbers on the passing by beach house's mailboxes.

"What are you doing?"Bahm groans miserably.

"Looking for 53,”

He sucks his teeth after I tell him.

"So you don't know where she lives!

You think I want to be over here right now Kris!

I don't even want Aldrerix near her anymore!"

He speaks so viciously I wasn't even sure why he was upset anymore. His suddenness took me by surprise.

"I've never been to her house Bahm, I only know her address." Mumbling over to him, I scan each mailbox on the sidewalk.

"SHIT!

MAN!

This is 147, can you please bring us over there?" I point up the street distressingly.

"And keep us in the darkness. Don't need human eyes seeing you appear out of thin air."

“I’M NOT AN IDITOT LIKE YOU, KRIS!!." He hisses wrathfully.

I missed the old Bahm. I came to the conclusion that this new one, doesn't see me as his equal anymore. Hell, he must hate me for not letting him be his self and kill what he fears most.

Hunnie, The Dark Witch.

My body tenses by his remark, hiding the hurt again, sweeping it under the overloaded carpet of grief in my mind. I motioned for Bahm to follow me across the street after we teleported under a street light near a mailbox reading 50.

As we go closer to the curb I could pick up on a small hint of Hunnie's blood in the air!

"Do you smell that?

Her blood!" I asked Bahm, but he only snaps right away at how he doesn't know her scent.

There was no way I believed him.

Hunnie was indeed cloaked, but even the spill of her blood could reach my nose!

He just didn't want to help me!

"53! Right here!"

We walked through her white picket fence and I throw my hand over my head. I began peeking and jumping around her windows, then moving over to where I send her blood the most. Her backyard.

The window was too tall and then there was no way I could tell if she was inside or not. Turning to face an awfully quiet and pissed off Bahm, I asked him for help one last time.

"Can you at least hear anyone inside?"

"No!"

He anwswers sharply and my heart skips a beat.

Is Hunnie really not inside? Has she disappeared again!

“Are... you sure?

Do you really not hear breathing from inside this house?"

"NO KRIS!"

He bellows furiously, looking around. The frost from the late night weather surrounded his whole face, then he turns around.

The old Bahm would have helped me peek in, maybe even jump up himself for me, but this new Bahm, well he was very selfish. He couldn't stand having me walk around with his heart in my chest.

"What are you doing!" He whisper yells firmly.

There were two garbage drums behind the house, so I pushed one under the window while ignoring his question.

The top of the garbage lid caves in as I jump on top. I was now nose leveled with her window, getting just the right amount of exposure through her blinds and passed the sheer curtain.

A hamper sat in the corner of a room with a television stand next right next to it and thats where my senses takes my nose to the scent of her blood. Then what I saw next, bothered me more than it should of.

The sight of my mate sleeping peacefully on her bed with a empty plate by her side, famished with a hand on her exposed growing stomach.

Wow...

Her stomach really grew in the last two months, hasn't it? She really is carrying someone else's baby after all...

Jumping off the garbage bin, it topples over as I walked away. I could feel Bahm's eyes glued to me as I passed by him silently.

"Well?

Was she in there after all?"

"Just bring me home...

Don't ever allow me to check on her again."

It didn't seem like she was in any distress.

She looked pretty content while I've been the only one suffering from this whole mess.

Before I could even make it to the front of the house, Bahm teleports up back to the penthouse without a word. I returned back to my room. I guess it really was just a dream.

A dream of finding my first and last crush,

My mate,...sitting in a pool of her own blood.
