Smothered
Kris Tang
Waking early this morning, I ate breakfast, snuck into my room during my shower, and quickly made my way to The Lounge Room.
The surprise hit me to hear that Bahm and Hunnie weren't awake yet. Otherwise, one of their voices would ring out through my ears.
He scared me yesterday, looking at me with those frightful eyes before running away. What have I done for him to treat me like this all over again?
He claims he wants time for himself but chases me out when I appear in The Dining Hall with Hunnie.
"The King still not up yet?" I asked a castle maid cleaning the bar.
"Still asleep.
Should I wake him for Young Master Kris?"
"No, it's fine."
I shook my head and hung out by the kitchen in The Lounge Room.
Bahm was super weird; yes, I still hate him, but we both have a mate now, and her safety is my number one concern, especially when her mate tells me he has a foreign and uncontrollable demon in his body!
Hunnie's voice saying Bahm's name finally rings in my ears. It was faint, but it indicated that they were waking up, which calmed my nerves. My feet began making their way toward his chambers, and I heard Hunnie again.
"Bahm, get off!" Hunnie says aggressively as I get closer to the door.
Leolo was the only one guarding the door early this morning. He had a look on his face that I couldn't quite distinguish.
"Morning, Kris.
Uhh...maybe check on--"
-"BAHM, GET OFF!
I.
CAN'T.
BREATHE!!"
Leolo and I stare at each other for less than a second before he steps aside, and I rush into the room. At first glance, it looked like they were becoming intimate, but then I noticed the only one moving was Hunnie underneath him, shoving him.
"Hunnie?"
"KRIS!!!" She yells in response.
"He isn't wakening!
HELP!
Get him off!"
She cries out of breath, and I quickly hop onto the bed, lifting Bahm under his heavy arms.
"I'm gonna be sick!"
Hunnie whined, covering her mouth as I struggled to pull Bahm off. His deadweight was much heavier than I ever had to carry, and once I lifted him off her stomach, her body convulsed before she sat up and spewed vomit into her hands.
Bahm was still unconscious. Just what happened to him?
"BAHM!" I shouted, grabbing his face angrily.
His eyes were shut, and his face peaceful.
How could he sleep on her stomach, for fuck sake!
I dropped him back down on the bed and attended to Hunnie, dry heaving as she tried to stand.
"Are you okay!" I examined the rib through her swollen red stomach, blowing up with air.
She shook her head no while holding onto the mattress and hunched over, throwing up bile.
Immediately, I rushed to her side, picked her up, and brought her to the toilet while throwing a robe over her shoulders. What the hell is going on?
"Mirah!
MIRAH!!" She gurgled over the toilet.
"YOU NEED MIRAH?"
My heart and mind began racing. How will we get there if Bahm won't wake up and Hunnie has never been to her office to teleport us? She's not in any shape to use her abilities!
"Mirah?
Mirah?
Can you hear me?"Linking her for one of the first times, I only hoped she'd be able to listen to me.
"Kris?
Everything alright?"
"IT'S HUNNIE!
SHE WON'T STOP PUKING!" I replied once her voice was heard.
"Oh, I'm in the castle!
Where's The King?"
"He's asleep and won't wake up!
We need to go to your office right away. She's scared!"
"Alright.
Suki can help us with a portal over.
Where are you, in his bathroom?"
After confirming my location with Mirah in Bahm's room, I comforted Hunnie. She had tears down her face, groaning in pain, rubbing circles around her stomach, and expelling her guts again every minute.
The portal to Mirah soon opened before us, and she stepped in, assisting me with Hunnie.

The King's P.O.V
My eyes opened in the sudden sluggishness that took over my body, and I was not even sure if I was awake.
I swear I saw Kris taking Hunnie away from my bed, but I lay there, unable to move or speak.
"He's taking your mate away.
Maybe, she's better off with the extravagant one anyway."
Ugh!
Why doesn't this demon ever stop talking? How dare he say such!
I was beginning to hate his words. He's taking so much away from me. If only I could sleep for eternity.
A sudden hard knock is heard. My eyes shot open, and when I sat up, I noticed Hunnie wasn't around anymore. Where is she?
"ONE MINUTE!"
I shouted groggily, stumbling off the bed and grabbing the first towel I saw.
"Your Highness!
It's Leolo!"
The voice behind the knock says frantically.
"What is it?" I sigh exhaustedly, plopping down on my sofa.
"Sorry to bother you, is everything alright? I didn't hear Hunnie anymore, so I thought--"
--"Hear what?
Hear her where?"
"In here, sir. The Young Madam was sick--"
"WHERE IS SHE NOW!?"
I stand furiously. He's supposed to be guarding her every second!
"Um. I'm not sure. They disappeared."
He lowered his head, and I felt myself boiling over; he could sense that. I was getting furious for some reason.
"So,
Kris was in here?" Leolo looks at me strangely, examining my body before he replies to my question.
"Can you not smell his scent on you?"
My body tenses at his question suddenly.
"NO!" I roared, "And I don't want to smell him either!!! Who let him in!"
"I did, Your Highness.
You weren't awakening, and your mate cried out."
"I DO NOT WANT KRIS AROUND HER ANYMORE!"
A growl slips my lips, and unable to hold in the anger fueling inside, I roar and kick Leolo swiftly in his stomach. He only goes flying a few feet."
"I'm sorry, Your Highness."
I glare down at him in disgust. Why does everyone around me make my decisions?
"Because you aren't capable of being a King!
That is why I'll take your place with your son dead in my stomach."
"SHUT UP!!" I hollered out loud.
I can feel Leolo stand abruptly.
"Bahm? What's going on with you?
Talk to me."
Leolo says again, and I turn to face him, bearing my fangs uncontrollably, charging right towards him, but he dodges the attack, running out of the chambers with his 2500-year-old vampire speed. Something inside me dies, replacing me with a sudden rush of anticipation.
"See,
Everyone knew but you!
Disgusting, incestuous being!"
"NOOO!" I hit the ground.
"Don't listen!"
I slap my head.
"Don't listen?
HAH!
Go ask that Fox Demon you all call mother!" The Gatekeeper laughed hysterically, and I was slipping even more. There's no way she knew. There's no way!
In one swift motion, I dash over to my closet, throwing on a black silk baji. He even teleports me! Fuck! When did he gain such control over my powers?
"Ma, we need to talk!" My body shook with misery, rushing passed her chamber guards and through her doors. She sat at the back of her room, writing scrolls with her head down.
"Speak, son," she croaks, not even looking up.
"I need the truth."
"Yes?"
"Did you know about the son that got taken away from me, that he lived among humans?"
She finally looks up beyond the edge of her glasses and drops her pen.
She said nothing right away, and that gave me my answer.
"SO YOU KNEW!!!" The hairs on my body shifted, and I sobbed.
"Son, please.
I-I-I...I didn't, but...
He,
Looked... like you."
She says sickly, and I become lightheaded, staggering backward. This was the most brutal blow ever.
"How did..you find ou--"
"I hate you all!"
Going into sobbing laughter, I couldn't believe them. They are worse than Hiliana.
"Please, Bahm. It wasn't- -"
Interrupting her, I roared, clenching my fist before she sat back in her seat.
'I TOUCHED HIM, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!
HOW COULD YOU ALL!!"
Raging with this new profound fury, I teleport back to my chambers.
"I told you a secret; now I'm coming to feast!"
My body felt shifting, and my vision only saw red. I turn, sensing a different smell and breathing in a new world.
"Your Highness."
A petite maid stood by the side of my bed and bowed before she retreated to cleaning. All I could smell was her blood coursing through her veins and the steady yet nervous heartbeat she pumped.
I thought she smelled good when I inhaled deeply after closing my eyes at the scent.
"SPECTACULAR!" The demon roars.
My eyes opened, and the tiny maid's throat was in my hands, with her blood drained completely.
"MORE!
CALL THEM ALL OVER!"
The Gate Keeper bellows, and my eyes go wide.
One by one, he minds links all the wolves to my chambers, setting them up for an ambush. Once he got them, he drained all their blood within seconds.
I couldn't help but cry. I was so disappointed this monster had fully taken control of me.
"Chef Jacorius, can you come to see me in my chambers, please."
"NO!
STOP!"
He had total control over my mind, body, and soul.
"Your Highness, What can I do for you this morn--"
Right away, he uses my speed to rush towards Jacorius and sinks my teeth into his neck like a vacuum.
Tears stream down my face from watching my oldest pack member, my Beta, die right in my grasp. He drains him entirely, falling to the ground and holding his head.
He needs to be stopped! I can't afford to be responsible for any more deaths!
