Chapter 50. Eternal Love
Kris Tang
"Good morning, sweetie.
Hope I behaved well enough last night."
A grin curves the corner of my lips when Hunnie rolls her eyes at me and I wink. I guess that meant a no.
Surprisingly, I woke this morning before Hunnie. It was a big surprise because I didn't even remember half the party or arriving here in the garage. These passed few days have been a blessing to have Hunnie here, surrounded by my friends and family. She seemed very happy as well, and a lot less stressed with a dozen hands working at her feet back in the castle.
I knew her very well.
She hasn't changed one bit since I met her in kindergarten.
"What time is it?" Her sleepy voice croaks and she sits up from the bed, rubbing her eyes.
"Time to go through these bag and clear out the garage.
Shit, its cluttered now!"
"Some can definitely come back to the castle, um actually, about the castle...
I need to tell you something."
She pouts, sending my beating heart to accelerate in my chest. I hoped she wasn't going to ask me what I think she was going to ask.
My arms fold across my chest, not really up for what it was she was going to ask, and glared down at her sitting on the bed. I was already upset I could barely walk around the room!
"Well...
I've been getting sick from traveling from the castle here...and Bahm and I was thinking, maybe you should come back--"
"What?
No chance."
Turning away, I began consolidating gift bags to get rid of the extra mess. Hunnie sucks her teeth behind me and begins moving about on the bed. I could already sense her anger.r
"How can you say that without even thinking about it or heari--"
"Hunnie I'm not going back there.
Enough please.
I guess I'll just see you whenever I can!"
"Kris...
It's our son...he isn't developing right.
Hunnie doesn't know this yet and I promise to stay away form you here in the castle..."
Suddenly Bahm's voice comes into the link. A voice I haven't heard in quite some time, one that sounded heavy and filled with exhaustion. I didn't know the baby wasn't developing correctly. Why does he keep this a secret from Hunnie? This man is full of too many secrets!
I turned back around to face Hunnie and she was wiping her face with the blanket, crying silently. A thorn pierces my heart as she doesn't know I was watching her and it broke me. I guess I can do this for her, because Bahm's people would provide all the help supernaturally that she might need and I know Bahm wouldn't want to move down here.
I ignored Bahm in the link. He better keep his word and not come anywhere around me until I approach him first about what I had planned to do. Other than that, I'm done with him
"Don't cry Hunnie.
I'll go..." I began climbing onto the bed by her side, embracing her shaking shoulders in my arms.
"Come on.
Don't cry...I'm sorry I didn't mean it."
"Fuck you..
I'm so tired of this!
You both!
You both make me sooo tired!!" She shouts pushing me away and waving her arms in the air.
"Don't let her get worked up.
The scent of her magic is boiling over."
Bahm's voice comes back into the link again.
So he only pays attention when I get her worked up, huh!
Is that the only time, while he ignores her every other time!
Heavens, I hope he wasn't doing things back home that he shouldn't be, and they better move my old room somewhere else!
"Listen, I'm sorry Hunnie, baby. Don't get so worked up.
I'll do anything you ask." She was already off the bed, grabbing bags that belonged to her swiftly and pulls out a robe someone gifted her, throwing it on in a rush.
"Whatever Kris!
All you and Bahm want to do, is make me stressed!"
"Okay, okay.
I know, and we are sorry.
We can go today, hoping BAHM'S PEOPLE, are preparing me a room already."
Saying it out loud enough so Bahm could speed up the process and do this whole moving shit for Hunnie, I grab her wailing arms, pulling her body into my chest.
For the next few hours, Hunnie showered inside my mothers house across the way because she prefers a stand up shower, while I gathered all the gifts to one side of the room and brought my mother any duplicate to keep here.
"So beautiful she is."
My mother stop me with a big smile when I came into her kitchen to drink water from her jug.
"When is baby coming?"
"I don't know.
But we will be staying by Bahm until then."
Her head lowers and she frowns, fiddling with her fingers. She never really liked Bahm one bit an dI never understood why. I was an ungrateful little shit for her, always wanting to hang out with Bahm. He'd try to convince me to listen to my mother, but I Wanted to live a supernatural life.
"It's...his...baby?"
A question she never seemed to care about before, sent a splinter to my heart.
My whole life my mother didn't speak much about Bahm, nor spoke either at all. Her accent was too thick.
"No, mine," I lied.
"You know he can't have children."
"Bu-But, you're... fixed..." Her lips trembled as she stutters, and I slammed the fridge door with so much power she bows and scurries away. Something she always did once I got upset.
She takes to the hall leading to her room and I felt bad losing my temper with her. She doesn't deserve it, all she's ever tried to do, was protect me. From myself, and even from Bahm sometimes.
"Ma...
I'll be back. I promise.
I...I...love you."
I exit the house right away. My mother and I never really shared a loving relationship. She used to tell me when I was younger that I would leave her just like my father did and that always upset me, provoking me to never get attached to her since she was so sure, never calling her mom.
Hunnie had finally made it out the shower, washing away yesterday's party grime off her body for almost one whole hour!
"Bahm says he's ready for us.
He'll teleport us right into the room."
"When did you talk with Bahm?" My eyebrows twist with confusion.
"Oh, he texted me."
A wrath of anger almost surges through me, thinking Bahm had stepped foot inside my mothers place. I will never trust him again, especially near my mother, or with Hunnie. If he doesn't lose his vicious temper, he could hurt someone without knowing, or even worse.
"Are you ready?"
"Yeah, I have a suitcase packed too." I tell Hunnie as she hollers for Bahm to teleport us over.
"Oh wait, he sent me a message.
He wants me to use the portal instead, says he has no energy."
I suck my teeth and roll my eyes. He still doesn't want to use his abilities I see.
Hunnie spends time thinking how she could bring all the gifts to the room Bahm sends her a picture of. She tries sending them all one by one, pushing it inside of her portal, but then she finally expands her portal big enough that it swallows the whole garage, teleporting us all into huge bedroom back in the castle.
"Oh jeez!
I brought everything!" She mopes, but then her expression changes once she eyes her surroundings.
The bloody room looked like a huge ballroom.
There was defiantly no need to even leave the room for it had everything I needed in here.
Even a kitchen!
A four poster red bed with a black curtain over the bed, was far to the left side of the corner, with a short wall dividing a small parlor with a television and game chair to the right of it. Then in the middle of the room and against the wall was a kitchen with a bar and a back door leading outside to the lap pool.
"Well then, lets start putting together some of these dressers. We have tons of clothes we should put away!"
Hunnie sighs, but then she hunches over, shrieking for a bag.
