MYSTERY
**JACOB'S POV**
My hands are shaking badly just by the thought of seeing Arthur in person after all these years later. Although I have seen his many photos in magazines and newspapers, but seeing him in person is something I have never thought would be possible again.
When I first learned about his divorce I was so shocked that I didn't know how to react. So, I did the only thing that seemed right which was getting away from there. Because I knew that if I stayed there, Aurora would ask me to tell her everything which I didn't want at that time. But I think not everything goes as the way we want it to be and maybe that's why Arthur himself told Nicholas about us knowing each other.
Right now, I am standing outside Arthur's house which is more like a mansion. I gulp in anticipation thinking what I am going to tell him after so many years just as the door of the house opens revealing Aiden who looks at me with wide eyes.
"Handsome man, what are you doing here?" Aiden asks looking surprised but I stand there not knowing what to say to him.
"Umm, is your father home?" I ask the first thing that comes to my mind but then curse internally because of how the dumb question sound.
"Yes, Daddy is home but refusing to take his medicines saying that they taste bad as if they are supposed to be sweet like honey," Aiden replies putting his hands on his hip making me laugh at his antics.
"How about I scold your Daddy so that he takes his medicines?" I ask teasingly.
"That will be awesome. I have only seen Uncle Nick scold Daddy but now you gotta scold him too. Come on, get inside Handsome Man." By saying this the little boy starts dragging me inside the house quite eagerly might I add.
"Daddy, look who is here to scold you." I nearly choke on my laughter hearing Aiden's choice of words but everything stops when my eyes collide with Arthur's blue orbs which are staring at me with so many emotions in them that it's hard to depict one of them. He hasn't changed at all over the years. Same curly brown hair which has gotten a little longer than before, the deep blue hue of his eyes which used to catch everyone's attention, his slim yet fit body.
"Jacob..." Arthur's voice breaks me out of my thought making me clear my throat.
"Why aren't you taking your medicine?" I ask picking up the strips of tablet from the tray and then taking out one tablet before handing it to him.
But when he keeps looking at me instead of taking the tablet from me, I release a sigh while pushing the tablet in his mouth making his eyes widen in surprise. I don't give him chance to get over his surprise by holding the glass of water in from his lips which he drinks without any complaints.
"Wow, you are so cool Handsome Man. You should stay with us so that you can feed Daddy his medicines." Aiden remarks clapping his hands with a bright smile on his face as if he has solved the biggest problem in the world.
"Umm, Aiden why don't you go and complete your homework?" Arthur asks his son who pouts his lips.
"But why? I want to play football with Handsome Man." Aiden replies scowling at his father.
"Little man I won't leave before playing with you. But right now I have to talk to your father so you can complete your homework by then, okay?" I let out looking at the kid.
"Okay, I can do that." By saying this, he runs out of there leaving me and Arthur alone in the living room.
I look at the man who has my heart for so long that I don't think I can ever think about anyone else besides him, not that I want to do that or I would have done it a long time ago. He is always going to be the one & only for me, whether he likes me or hates me.
**NICHOLAS'S POV**
I am in the middle of an important meeting when my secretary informs me that Mr. Adams as in Matthew is waiting for me in my cabin. I don't think I have any idea of him coming here but if he is here without having any appointment then it must be something serious.
So, I dismiss everyone and walk out of the conference room. Just as I am going to get inside my cabin, I receive a text from Aiden which states that Arthur has taken his medicines. I decide to call him after talking to Matthew.
"What are you doing here?" I ask Matthew straight away because I don't have time for unnecessary chitchat.
"Don't you think it should be me to ask exactly what you're doing with Aurora?" Matthew remarks making me glare at him because I don't like the way he has said Aurora's name.
"It's none of your business to know about my personal life." I reply angrily.
"It's my business when Aurora is involved in it." He says looking at me with hate but I really don't get it what's his problem is.
"How do you know Aurora?" I ask because I need to know exactly how Aurora is related to him.
"Why don't you ask your girlfriend who I am to her? Just remember one thing, you can never have her because I will not let that happen." He replies looking all smug but I can't let him rile me up because that's all he is trying to do.
"Matthew, I don't know what you're trying to do but I know it well that no one can take Aurora away from me. She is my world and I don't like it when some outsider tries to mess with my world. So, it will be better if you stay away from my life as well as my world." I let out looking at him with challenge.
He glares at me and storms out of there not saying anything else. I run my fingers through my hair in frustration because everything is getting messed up. But the most important question is how he knows Aurora and also he has called Aurora my girlfriend when in reality I still haven't asked her to be my girlfriend.
I have to meet Aurora right now because I need to know about her connection with my business rival. But something is telling me that I won't be liking what I get to know.
