**AURORA'S POV**

"I am very happy that you dare to move forward without being sad with your parents' disowning you. I don't understand why they don't learn to change with the times. Your father knew that my first husband used to beat me every day but still never helped me as a brother should have done. Even your mother advised me to keep quiet saying that we women are born to serve men. That's why I never went back there after my divorce because I knew they would never understand me." Aunt Cathy says with a sigh.

"I am really sorry for what my parents did to you, Aunt." I let out feeling ashamed.

"Why are you saying sorry when you haven't done anything wrong? Don't blame you for your parent's wrong deed. You have a pure soul and that's why you are able to get past the negativity of your past." Liam, Aunt Cathy's husband remarks.

"By the way, does Nicholas know about your previous marriage?" Aunt Cathy asks in which I shake my head in response.

Yes, I have told them about Matthew and how he divorced me because of my condition of infertility. Not only, they have supported my decision but also praised me saying that I have done the correct thing by giving Nicholas a chance.

"I know it must be hard for you to tell everything to Nicholas but believe it will get better if you tell him everything. I was in your place after my divorce but Liam pulled me out of my grief and accepted me as well as Owen." Aunt Cathy says looking at her husband with adoration.

"I will tell Nicholas everything soon. But not right now when he is so busy with his works. I want to tell him every single thing because he deserves to know what happened to me." I reply.

They have come to visit me in the bakery and they are very interested in learning more about my work. I have shown them around, introduced them to Parker and Claire. They are very impressed with everything they have seen which I am very glad because at least now, I can tell that at least some of my blood family feel proud of me. In the end, I serve them Florentines and Palmier which are two of the most popular French Cookies with Milk Tea. After one hour of talking they leave but promise to visit me from now on as they want our connection to grow more.

Just as I am going to walk out of the bakery after closing it, I notice Jacob is leaning against his car. I smile seeing him before rushing to hug him. I have been wanting to call him to know how his talking went with Arthur but I was so engrossed with my own situations that I didn't get time.

"What are you doing here?" I ask happily.

"I just want to meet you." He replies with a smile.

"And why is that? Did something good happen?" I remark wiggling my eyebrows at him.

"Haha, very silly. Come on, let's go for a long drive." He says making me giggle but nonetheless both of us get inside his car before he starts driving.

"So, how is thing between you and Arthur?" I ask after a few minutes of silence.

"Just like it was before." That's all he replies.

"Can you please elaborate?" I ask with a huff.

"Aurora, he has confessed that he loves me and I have done the same. But things are not so simple so I have decided to be friends with him for now. I want to see how things work and then I will think about other things." He replies which is not a bad idea.

"I can't disagree with you in this matter because both of you need time to digest everything. It's good that at least now you guys are on speaking terms as this way things will be easier." I remark with a sigh.

"So, now you tell me what's going on with you and Nicholas." He says looking at me.

"You have heard about the news, right?" I ask in which he nods his head.

"It's started with a misunderstanding by none other than Matthew but now it's true." I reply.

"Matthew? What has the fucked done again?" He asks angrily.

"When you left the cafe, I bumped into Matthew and some of his friends. I didn't want to interact with them but Tom, Matthew's friend called out to me. Suddenly, Matthew taunted about Nicholas being my boyfriend and out of anger, he agreed with him that Nicholas was indeed my boyfriend. Long story short, I think he gave the news to the media and vice versa you know." I explain.

"Then you and Nicholas aren't in a relationship for real?" He says in which I smile at him.

"At first, the news was fake but now it's real. Nicholas has asked me to be his girlfriend and I have said yes." I reply happily.

"Seriously?" He asks looking surprised.

"Yeah, seriously. He is a very good person and although our start wasn't so smooth, but now I am happy to have him in my life." I reply truthfully.

"Mom and Dad will be happy to know that you have decided to give Nicholas a chance. He is a good guy if you ask me because I have observed the way he looks at you like you're the source of his happiness. At least he is not an arrogant ass like Matthew." He lets out looking angry.

"Jac, Matthew is my past and I don't want to ruin my present by talking about him. Actually, I am thankful that he did all of the bad things because now I understand how to make correct choices." I reply just as my phone starts ringing. I look at the screen to see that it's Nicholas who is calling me.

"Finally, you got time to call me." I remark receiving the call.

"I am really sorry my Precious, I was really busy throughout the day and then the media people made me so angry that I nearly break the equipments in the gym. But thankfully, Arthur arrived in time and after talking to him I am feeling much better." Nicholas says.

"Isn't Arthur supposed to be on bed rest?" I ask which perks Jacob's attention who gives me a curious look.

"I asked him the same thing but he told me that the trainer of the gym informed him about my mood so he came to talk to me. By the way, where are you?" Nicholas asks.

"I am going on a long drive with Jacob. Wait, I will put the phone on speaker." By saying this, I put the phone on speaker.

"How are you doing, man?" Jacob asks.

"Now, I am okay after exercising my ass off in the gym. By the way, do you want to say something to Arthur?" Nicholas asks back while I awe seeing the blush on Jacob's face but I don't comment about it.

"Tell him to go back to his place, it's not good for Aiden to be alone in that big house." Jacob says trying to keep straight face but he is failing miserably.

"Then you can come home with me so neither Aiden nor I have to be alone." My eyes widen hearing Arthur's teasing while I can hear Nicholas's loud laughter in the background.

"Shut up, Arthur." Jacob snaps although I can see the smile on his face.

"Jokes aside, how about we meet somewhere for dinner?" I say excitedly.

"I can cook something so you and Jacob can come to my penthouse. I am going there with Arthur." Nicholas suggests so I look at Jacob who nods his head in response.

"Okay, then we are coming to your penthouse." I reply.
