ANGER
**NICHOLAS'S POV**
The sound of alarm woke me up from my deep slumber making me groan because I think I can sleep some more. But then my eyes fall on the angelic beauty in my arms who s sound asleep. I run my thumb over her lips which are jutted out in a pout making them look so damn delicious that it's getting hard to not taste them. But I can't do that without my precious girlfriend's permission so I just have to admire them from afar.
Girlfriend! Aurora Wilson is really my girlfriend. It still feels like a dream because this is my first and hopefully last time calling someone as my girlfriend. I indeed have never thought of settling down with someone but now I can see that it won't be a bad idea as every day with Aurora feels magical.
"Umm, what time is it?" Aurora asks in a sleepy tone.
"It's 6 AM." I reply while pulling her close to me as she tries to get up from the bed.
"Where do you think you are going?" I ask near her ear smirking when I feel her shiver.
"Washroom." She replies shyly without turning around.
"You know, I can help you go there." I let out making her whine.
"You can't talk like that." She says grumbling.
"And why not?" I ask teasingly playing with her fingers.
"I don't know." She says while getting up from the bed and running towards the washroom making me laugh loudly.
I shake my head at her shyness before make my way out of the room so that I can give her some privacy. I walk into one of the guest rooms and do my morning business. Then I decide to make breakfast so I go to the kitchen and open the refrigerator to see what I can make. Finally, I decide to make French Toast with Orange Juice as I don't have much time in hand.
Just as I am going to call out to Aurora, I hear footsteps coming towards me so I look up to see that she is already coming here. I smile at her and ask her to sit down at the dining table. I serve both of us hot breakfast while she thanks me in response.
"Are you meeting your aunt?" I ask.
"Yes, Aunt Cathy is coming to the bakery with her husband. She wants to spend some time with me before she goes back to her place." She replies.
"Although at first, I was very disappointed with her for treating Evelyn badly but then after meeting her yesterday I realized that she was just worried about Owen." I say truthfully.
"I was told that my aunt didn't want to keep any contact with us but it's turned out that my parents lied to me." She remarks with a sigh while her eyes show pain.
"Don't think about them because I don't like seeing you unhappy." I say while caressing her face.
"I am really happy now." She says with a soft smile.
After finishing breakfast, we get ready and then leave to go to our workplaces. I drop her in front of the bakery before driving towards my company building where I have some important meetings to attend.
However, when I reach there I see a lot of reporters and photographers making me groan in irritation. I drive towards the backside of the building where the guards open the secret parking lot for me. I call the head of my PR team and order him to take actions against the newspaper as well as as well as tabloids.
Throughout the whole day, I have been in a bad mood because not one meeting went well. I think my anger towards the situation with media is taking a toll on me. Not only that, my mind is still trying to process that Matthew knows Aurora. But why was he so angry about my involvement with Aurora? He was sounded like he knows Aurora very well. But how can that be possible because as much as I know they don't know each other.
Suddenly, I remember that Aurora has told me that her parents are from Canada and Matthews is also from Canada. Can it be that they know each other for a long time? Or they are relatives.
Everything is making me so angry and worried at the same time. I think I need to blow some energy on the gym or my anger won't be calming down at anyway. So after I am done with all the meetings, I directly go to my personal gym and start exercising to get rid of the frustration I am feeling.
"What's wrong with you?" I hear from behind but I don't have to turn around to know who it is.
"You tell me, what the hell are you doing here when you should be at home taking a rest?" I retort putting the dumbbells on the floor before facing Arthur.
"The trainer called me informing me that you are creating havoc so I have to come here to see exactly what's going on." He replies.
"I am not creating havoc, I am just simply exercising," I remark shrugging my shoulders.
"By the way, if you are already here then tell me how your conversation went with Jacob?" I ask smirking at him.
"Frankly speaking, I got hell of a scolding from him for lying that I had someone else in my heart. But in the end, both of us apologized to each other for not accepting our feelings." He answers looking relieved.
"So, is everything okay between you two? I mean are you guys in a relationship?" I ask wiping my sweaty face with a towel.
"Are you gone mad? I have to think about Aiden first and also, Jacob just wants to be friends for now as he doesn't want to rush into anything." He replies.
"Well, what am I hearing that you and Aurora are in a relationship?" He says after some time. I release a sigh and describe the whole situation to him. Not only that, but I also tell him about Matthew.
"Why don't you ask your private investigator to look into the matter?" He remarks making me shake my head.
"I don't want to invade Aurora's privacy doing any investigation. Although I desperately want to know the connection between her and Matthew, I am going to wait for her to open up to me." I let out.
"I understand your point of view. But what if it's something crucial that can put Aurora in trouble? You know how dirty Matthew plays, then why are you taking the risk?" He asks worriedly.
"Matthew can play as dirty as he can but in the end, I will be the winner. Because I don't bark like him, I show the result." I reply smirking.
