WITH EACH OTHER

**NICHOLAS'S POV**

I am currently in a meeting with some investors for the new restaurant chain that I want to open in Mexico, however my mind is occupied with my girlfriend who has been making her way to my heart completely. Everything about her is like a mystery to me, a mystery that I want to unravel bit by bit. She is an innocent soul but at the same time, she is more mature than her age. I can't say that my feelings for her are love but then again what are these emotions that I have been feeling for her? Why does her tears affect me so much that I feel like destroying the person who is responsible for her distress? I still remember when she told me about Matthew being her ex-husband, I really wanted to murder that scoundrel for spreading false rumors about my precious Aurora.

"... and after that we can sign the deal." That's all I hear from one of the investors. Fuck I haven't heard a damn thing, I was so busy in my thoughts that I have missed all the important thing about the meeting.

"I have really liked your proposal however I need to think about it so I will let you know in a few days." I tell them while Owen looks at me with a confused look. I stand up from my seat and shake their hands. When the investors and other employees leave the conference room I sigh in relief. I walk towards the window and look at the city.

"I have never thought that a day will come when the great business tycoon, Nicholas Moretti would be thinking about something other than his business." I roll my eyes at Owen's sarcastic comment.

"You don't have any idea about what I am thinking then why are you passing unnecessary comments?" I ask him without looking back.

"I don't need to know because your face is showing enough to see what's got your attention so much." He replies while standing beside me. 

"I am really glad that you have asked a girl like Aurora to be your girlfriend because you both fit perfectly well with each other. She is the constant that you have needed in your life and you are the comfort she has been wanting till now. Both of you have suffered a lot in your lives, just because you are a  successful businessman at present it doesn't mean that everything has been easy for you from the start. I have seen the complications you have to face from others and that is one of the reasons why you have become so isolated. She is also the same as you, and I know that only you have the power to make her strong." He says while I process his words in my mind. I don't want to accept it but he is completely right.

"I have a favor to ask from you." I tell Owen who hums in reply.

"I want you to train Aurora and involve her with my company." I answer making him look at me like I have said a ridiculous thing which I give a deadpan look.

"But she doesn't know anything about your business, she has said that herself to me. Then how can she associate with this big company?" He asks me with concern. I sit down on my chair and motion him to take a sit.

"She is running her own bakery so how can you say that she doesn't know anything about business? Instead, I think she has more capacity than most of the employees of my company." I remark leaning against my chair.

"But why are you suddenly suggesting that she should join your business?" He asks making me let out a sigh.

"Owen, someone hurt her badly in the past and still trying to get on her nerves so I want to help her by making her stronger than the person." I reply not wanting to give out all the information because I respect Aurora's privacy.

"Nicholas, I know I may not be in Aurora's life for long but it can't be neglected that she is my cousin. I won't tell you to reveal the person's name who has hurt her but I will tell you that you are already doing your best by being in her side. So, let her concentrate on her bakery which she has started all by herself while you keep the person away from her." He explains making me nod my head.

I have been keeping a close tab on Matthew from the time I have learned about his connection with my Aurora. He is a dirty player and I know he will try to get on Aurora's nerve by saying cruel things to her.

After my conversation with Owen, I have realized that whatever he said is true. I don't need to get Aurora involved with my business to make her stronger because she has already shown her capacity by running her bakery so nicely alone. That's why I will be behind her to protect her from any harm to come near her.

I have also learned that Jacob is Matthew's younger brother but the two don't share a positive relationship because of Matthew's narrow thoughts on Jacob's sexuality. Actually, one can not accept much from a person like Matthew but I am glad that at least his parents and brother are not like him. They treat Aurora as their own even after her divorce from Matthew and it shows how great personality they have.

Right now, I am on my way to pick up my precious girlfriend from her apartment for our date. Yes, a date which is going to be a huge surprise for her as she doesn't know where I am taking her. I know she will probably freak out at first, but then I am sure she is going to enjoy everything that I have planned. I also can't wait to taste her lips because I have become addicted to them after kissing her for the first time.

I stop the car outside the apartment building and send her a text to let her know that I have arrived. I get out of the car to wait for her arrival. Soon enough, I hear the sounds of heels clicking so I look in the direction to find my girlfriend who is walking towards me. Every time I see her, I feel like God has blessed me because she is really a God-given miracle to me.

"How am I looking?" She asks shyly.

"Delicious enough to eat." I reply teasingly liking the way her face warm-up adoring her cheeks with red blush.

"Why do you always have to be a pervert?" She remarks whining a little.

"Can't I even compliment you?" I ask pouting making her chuckle.

"You can compliment me with simple words like nice, good or beautiful." She replies sassily.

"Naah, that will be too lame." I remark winking at her.

"Okay, you win Mr. Moretti. So, can we leave?" She asks shaking her head.

"Of course, my precious." I reply bowing down to her.
