"Ruby...!"

Lucien screamed and woke up from his sleep as he had a dream about Ruby and Victor. His breath was panting and his chest felt so tight. It was so painful that he didn't know where to take all the pain in his heart.

He realized the room was still quite dark, but a little sunlight came in from the sidelines of the window. Lucien raised his head, he took a photo of him and Ruby that he found in their former home that was up for sale. He saw how they were smiling happily in the photo and that smile now felt so torturous.

"Love only makes a man's heart weak. That's why love is not suitable for men. Because when a man really loves, then that means he has to let his heart and soul be broken."

Victor always said that to him when Victor realized that Lucien had fallen in love with Ruby. Lucien who had always been his loyal follower, did everything he wanted, slowly drifting away from him.

Lucien distanced himself from Victor which brought their relationship even more tenuous and all because of his love for Ruby. But now Victor replied in such a heinous way.

"Are you awake, Lucien?"

Sofia's voice surprised him, Sofia came into the room carrying a tray with two cups of black coffee. Lucien immediately looked at Sofia who was smiling at him in a sundress that showed off her beautiful curves.

"Why are you here? This is my apartment, right?"

"Hahaha...why are you so surprised? You asked me to stay overnight because you wanted to have a long chat with me. Did you forget?"

"Is it true?"

"I made coffee, please drink it!" Said Sofia while handing her a cup of coffee that was still hot.

Lucien accepted it and the strong aroma of coffee immediately filled his senses. While Sofia sat beside him staring at him spoiled.

"You know what? All night you kept annoying me because you kept talking about Ruby, Ruby and Ruby. You haven't moved on from your previous life at all."

"I don't remember talking about that at all!"

"That's because you're too drunk and all that's hidden in your heart, you say honestly and openly."

"Is that so?"

"What made you love her so much? I don't see anything special about her at all, I mean - there are lots of girls who are much prettier and more attractive, right? Examples like-"

Lucien chuckled and that made Sofia even more attracted to him. Sofia put her cup on the table and crawled over to the bare-chested Lucien.

"Why didn't you want to touch me last night?" She said slowly. Their eyes met each other and Sofia had a strong desire to get that chance.

"I just don't want to do it!"

"Really? Not because of your loyalty to Ruby?"

"I-"

"Lucien, I'm not really a strong monster. I'm just a fox and a fox is a manipulative, cunning creature, especially the vixen. I didn't understand why Lucifer gave me this kind of power? Did he think when I was alive, I was a sneaky girl? Manipulative? But as time went by I realized that the power I have now is something that was my weakness when I was human. I was a stupid girl who was naive and loved someone too much to ruin my life. Now I got a power that no I got it when I was still human."

"Like seducing men and spying?"

"I don't know, I'm like that because I really want it or because Ruby wants me to be like that. She is a kind, sincere and loving woman. Because of that-"

"No, Sofia! She didn't make me lose who I really am. Instead, she made me realize and return to who I should be."

"Hahaha...but now you see how cunning she is, right? Just one year after you disappeared, she immediately entered into a relationship with the man who killed you. That shows that you too have been conned, Lucien. She hopes for a life of luxury if she together because she knows you are very rich, but you actually turned into a simple man for her and it was beyond her expectations. She is with Victor now who gave her everything she wanted, she has thrown you away and forgot about you after everything you did for her was in vain ."

"Are you done talking? I'm going to take a shower now?" Lucien stared coldly as if he didn't care at all about everything Sofia said about Ruby.

Realizing that Lucien could not be shaken so easily annoyed Sofia. She hated it because she realized that Lucien loved his wife too much to ignore his broken feelings.

"Love really makes humans stupid, now I know why. Fine, it's up to you. However, I warned you how you should have thrown away your feelings now that you're no longer a human, Lucien! You're a devil and devils don't need love of man, but devotion."
