The Madman

Lucien was aware that this was a trap Victor would never waste an opportunity to let go of someone like him. But now he knew what he had to do and what he had to do was stay calm and follow Victor's game to the end.

"I have to go!" Lucien said as he walked away. He didn't want to mince words and waste his time here.

"W-wait!" Suddenly Ruby called him. Lucien turned his head for a moment and didn't show any expression which made Ruby feel that this man didn't know her at all.

"You called me, madam?" Ask Lucien. His deep, cold voice shook Ruby's heart. Making a sentence he wanted to say, suddenly he just forgot.

Ruby paused as she lowered her head. He couldn't answer Lucien's gaze that felt as if it was piercing his heart. Victor seems to know what Ruby is thinking and it pisses him off. Whatever happened, he would definitely try to hold Ruby from saying something unnecessary.

"I don't think you have any business with him, my dear?" Victor said. He quickly restrained Ruby from speaking, forcing Ruby to remain silent and hold back her urges.

"S-sorry, I-I just wanted to get to know you, that's all!" Ruby said nervously.

Victor gripped his hand tightly as if he wanted to crush it. Ruhy knew that he had said something wrong and when he tried to look up, he could see Victor's face that looked so angry.

Lucien smiled sinisterly, then continued his steps leaving the room that felt so suffocating. Sofia and her bodyguards followed behind him.

"Are you satisfied now? Looks like you managed to plan something in your head!" Sofia chirps who chuckles seeing the scene a few minutes ago. He didn't know that a reunion between Lucien, Victor and Ruby could be this interesting.

"I'm not planning anything, I'm just following the plan he made!"

"Then what is he planning?"

"I can't tell you!"

"You don't believe me?"

"You had nothing to do with all of this,"

"Tsk, you still think of me as an unreliable foreigner, don't you think? Listen, Lucien! It's a mistake if you think I'm useless, I can do anything with my powers, I'm a trained spy and-"

"I know!"

"Then you-"

"You still have nothing to do with my problems. I don't want to involve you in all my problems anymore. Either way, you can live again because of your grudge against me, so you don't need to help me and focus on yourself and your revenge plan on me. If my problems are over , do what you have to do to me before Lucifer picks me up."

Sofia was silent, she smiled bitterly at Lucien's words which in fact were true. Even though they are in the same community. But between them both have personal problems that they must solve.

Lucien had promised to turn himself in to Sofia after his revenge on Victor was avenged. Because of that, he knew they were getting too close to make Sofia forget her true purpose.

"You're right! But Lucien, I also want you to know one thing that I too have a plan to exact my revenge on you. My hatred for you is too great that I wish to eliminate you at any time. But it seems that it will be a bit difficult since right now you are much stronger than me." and I don't want to finish you off just because you feel sorry for me or owe me something. I want to beat you because of my own strength!"

Lucien smiled coldly, Sofia's answer made him feel relieved. He didn't want them to waste time and stayed focused on their main goal.

"That's great."

"Damn, he really looks like Lucien. I thought that guy really was Lucien and he went back to the casino."

"Yes, you're right! I still can't believe that Lucien Sanders and Levi Mayr are not the same person."

"What if it's true that Levi Mayr is Lucien in disguise?"

"No!"

Victor immediately interrupted them after these people were busy arguing about the figure of a great new jockey with the exact same face as the legendary Lucien.

Victor loosened his tie, their argument made him annoyed again after Ruby almost said something unnecessary.

Ruby pretended not to care about his anger and was busy sipping the champagne from her glass.

"What makes you think that the two of them are not the same person, Victor? Lucian has been working with you for eight years, you must know very well what he is like!"

"Precisely because he and I have been together for eight years, that's why I really know him. Lucien, he is very obedient and always tries to do what I want even though sometimes he feels forced, especially for certain things-"

"Like accompanying you to have sex with a prostitute?"

"Ha ha ha..."

They burst out laughing because it was common knowledge that Victor would often date one or more beauties at a time and asked Lucien to join him.

Victor chuckled, this was his first plan. He knew that Lucien really hated having to share a woman with him, especially if that woman was the woman he loved. Lucien almost killed her just because he tried to seduce Ruby and that was the start of their problems.

Ruby swallowed hard, she could read Victor's plan and she didn't know if she was ready if Victor had to be used as a means of proof. Because how could Levi's figure be so similar to Lucien, her husband who had disappeared and she wasn't sure that she could do that.

Ruby got up from the sofa and walked towards the toilet as she was getting drunk and wanted to throw up. Victor followed into the toilet and stood right behind it which was in front of the sink.

"Hoek..."

"You are okay?" Asked Victor who even though he seemed to care, Ruby felt that Victor was actually annoyed at her.

"Can we go home now? I have such a headache!"

"Okay, we're going home!"

"What are you planning?"

"What? Hahaha...I think you're too drunk to want to know about my plan!"

"You want to invite him to our house?"

"Of course, he doesn't mind."

"I'm sure even if he had objected, you would still have forced him!"

"I think so."

"You really have gone mad!"

"Maybe."
