Ambition
Enemy? You mean that new group that wants to compete with us? Tsk, what can they do to destroy them? Their group has only been formed for 20 years, they have no chance to compete with Supernova Revenge let alone want to destroy us. That's impossible.
Jonathan laughed at Claude's question which he considered a ridiculous joke. Supernova Revenge is the originator of a group of humans who are resurrected as monsters to take revenge. The goal that was originally simple slowly changed when the alpha began to change.
The ambition to achieve power, wealth and even rule the world. Their goal is no longer as simple as killing and eliminating the people who ruined their lives while still living as ordinary humans.
"Demon's Descendants, they even call their group as Demon's Descendant, not half-demon. That means they are already very confident in their group's ability. You know? In 20 years they have almost mastered the underground business in Europe. Even our business still under the business that humans are in. But they are already one level above it. Isn't that crazy? Our movement is too slow because most of our members still have a weak and compassionate human spirit as if they still have a chance to go to heaven if their mission is accomplished finished. You idiot! That's why we were left behind even though this group has been formed for hundreds of years because it's only filled with weak and crybaby devils." Claude growled in annoyance. In the end he showed that he could not always be calm and authoritative.
Jonathan was a little surprised because all this time he knew that Claude had not shown too much ambition to bring Supernova Revenge to the pinnacle of power. The desire seemed to be buried because of something. But after Lucien joined, he showed it very clearly.
"Is he the one you've been waiting for?"
"Yes, I'm waiting for the true devil who was chosen directly by Lucifer. Lucien, I don't know why Lucifer chose him. But what is clear is that there is something in him that makes the demon king Lucifer so attracted to him. Save your hatred for him, Jonathan. Because right now whether you want it or not you have to admit that Lucien is our trump card, he is our main weapon for world domination."
Jonathan was silent for a moment, even though Claude asked him to admit it. Still his heart could not take it for granted. He already hated Lucien, especially after Lucien beat him at the gambling table. He still couldn't accept the fact that he wasn't special.
"Jayden already knows this. I'm sure you told him everything considering he's your accomplice and the person you trust the most?"
"Yes, just like you, Jayden still can't fully accept my plans. I can still understand that, it's not a problem for me. Considering that Jayden has been the main weapon of Supenova Revenge all this time because he is the strongest with special abilities he has as a solitary fighter. Although his status as the leader of the group of executors. He can't accept the fact that there is someone much stronger than him."
"That still can't be confirmed. They didn't finish the fight then. So it's too early to conclude that Lucien is the strongest."
"Jonathan, you didn't really witness the fight back then, did you? Lucien hadn't even used his powers yet, but Jayden was already desperate and on the verge of transforming. Lucien had never been directly involved in a fight so I wanted to test him whether he was able to control his strength. or not. Because it would be dangerous if he went out of control and made the humans recognize us as monsters."
Jonathan sighed as he got up from his spot. He forced himself to understand the situation because Claude wanted it. Claude was the alpha and they all had to obey his orders. Because of that he had to put aside his personal feelings for the sake of the group.
"Fine, if that's your decision. But still I'm not sure if Jayden can take Lucien du's presence in his group for granted. If Lucien is indeed the main weapon, it will definitely scare Jayden if his position as leader of the executor group is taken away."
"You can ask him directly. I won't be able to hide my plans from him. But remember one thing, whatever rejection you will do, will not affect my decision."
***
Claude's words kept ringing in his ears. The more he thought about it, the more irritated his heart became. Remembering how arrogant and cold Lucien had been that night after defeating him and treating him in front of Victori.
"Damn you Lucien, a bastard like you shouldn't be here. Damn it! It took me two years to become captain of that group. But you did it in just a few weeks. Damn it, I'm not going to let you have your fun!"
His hands clenched tightly, he wasn't sure he would be able to control himself if he heard something far more disgusting from Jayden. About how Lucien became his subordinate who could replace him anytime. But he also couldn't contain his curiosity about Jayden's plan.
Jonathan heard the sound of gunfire coming from the forest behind the mansion. He walked towards the forest after he felt Jayden's presence in that place.
He saw Jayden dragging the carcass of a deer that died after being shot from it. He knew this was Jayden's hobby, shooting wild deer and making their meat a delicious dinner dish.
"Hunting wild deer again?" he said. Jayden turned to her with a cold gaze. Jonathan smiled, he knew that Jayden was in a bad mood right now.
"I'd really like to shoot someone in the head if I could, but sadly no one is passing nearby at the moment. Except you, of course!"
"Wow...wow...calm down, Commander! I still want to live as a devil in this world, I don't want to rush to hell too much!"
"What do you want?" Ask Jayden. He didn't want to mince words at all.
"I just wanted to talk to you, if you weren't busy!"
"I was busy looking at this deer's blood coming out of the bullet marks that entered its body. If you want, you can wait until the blood dries up!"
"Unfortunately I don't want to waste my time on that ridiculous thing!"
Jayden left the deer carcass on the ground and stepped past Jonathan waiting for a response from him. He walked towards the park bench which was directly next to the forest door.
"Bring the deer here!" he exclaimed.
"Yes Sir!" Jonathan immediately obeyed his orders. He was forced to take the carcass of the deer to the place where Jayden sat resting while cleaning the traces of deer blood that stuck to his hand with a handkerchief.
"I brought your deer sir! Let me guess what the chefs are having tonight. Venison steak or venison stew? Or roast deer maybe?"
"I want raw venison for tonight, it will be more delicious if you enjoy it with a bottle of 100 year old wine."
"Hahaha... that's fine, maybe I'll join you for dinner."
"So what was it you wanted to ask me?"
"I'm sure you already know who the only person I'm sick of lately and you feel the same way about me."
"Control yourself, Jonathan! After all Claude has made up his mind and we can't go against it."
"So you're going to just shut up and follow all of his plans? You're an unbeatable killing machine, you're the one we hope to replace Claude if one day his mission is over."
"That's what I was thinking! Being the strongest doesn't mean you'll be chosen as the alpha or the leader of Supernova Revenge. Alpha is determined if you receive a special seal on your chest after the previous alpha has completed a mission. There are many factors that determine besides strength. Spirit of leadership, intelligence and ability to influence the members. I don't want to act rashly by directly opposing Claude's plan. After all, Claude wants Supernova Revenge to be at the top of the highest hierarchy capable of controlling civilization. If you only think about your revenge mission, then it's not could make you an alpha. Being an alpha means you have to put the interests of the pack ahead of your own."
"I see, that's your ambition now, isn't it? Aim for the alpha position because you know that Claude's revenge target will soon be found for you."
"You really are good at reading situations, Jonathan! But don't worry, I don't want to be too hasty in destroying Claude's revenge target. Supernova Revenge still needs him because our current opponents have started heading to the Americas in carrying out their dark business. But what they are the real target is us. Claude is a cunning genius, I still can't think beyond him in terms of business plans and how to defend our position. All I can do is eliminate the target directly and raise troops to attack."
"Are they that strong to make a Jayden feel uneasy?"
"Restless? Hahaha...who do you call feeling restless, Jonathan? I'm very excited and looking forward to their arrival. I know they'll be sending out a challenge soon and it would be more interesting if they also sent their lead executor to face me. I wonder how much their strength."
“What if they are indeed that strong to have the guts to challenge us who already have a much larger number of members than them!”
"Jonathan, do you know what differentiates us from them that they have the guts to challenge a group of giants like us? Their numbers may not be comparable to ours. But when it comes to strength, they are to be reckoned with. It's not like we host any monsters that want to join forces." , it doesn't matter if the monsters are weak and useless. Our numbers are like foam in the ocean, many but useless. Unlike those who only recruit and accept only strong monsters into their group. Because it's easier for them to strategize instead of worrying about the targets of revenge from useless monsters."
"Damn it, you're right! There are too many useless devils in this group who are only servants, maids and prostitutes. They have nothing to do but add new burdens. We are too busy making a living for them and helping eliminate their targets of revenge." until we forget the fact that we are about to be attacked.”
"You understand now, don't you? Why Claude has such an ambition to rule the world. Because he knows, if we don't do it, then our enemies will get the chance and Lucien, just like you, I hate him too much. But I have to admit one thing, he is an asset to Supernova Revenge. So far Konstantin's crest and power is like a fairy tale that we can only listen to without knowing what that power is like and what the impact will be if a demon like us has that crest. Lucien has never shown his power directly because he has never been involved in a fight. I wanted to see that strength, therefore I couldn't help agreeing with Claude's plan to make him part of the executor group."
"What are you going to do with him? Are you going to give him some kind of task? Like kill one of our members' revenge targets?"
"It's possible, what's clear is that I want to see how ferocious he is on the battlefield. Will he become the strongest wolf or a useless creature who can't do anything."
