The Secret Project
“Tch, the person he needs the most? Dammit, does he just want to get away with it? He knew from the start that Lucien was too strong and he also didn't really know how strong Konstantin was. He wanted to use me and Jayden as the guinea pig because he knows I know Lucien best and Jayden is the only person who could possibly keep Lucien under control." Sephie grumbled in annoyance as she walked through the corridor. She didn't know why she couldn't express her disapproval of Claude's plan.
Claude didn't want to be directly involved in dealing with Lucien, he preferred to monitor and supervise and give that responsibility to Sephie and Jayden. Even though it was Claude who had the most ambition to make Lucien the main weapon of The Hunters.
"Huh..." Sephie sighed. She couldn't forget what happened that night and how Lucien's demon looked like. A large monster wolf with fiery red eyes. It wasn't the normal wolf form of demi demons like them. If a human saw his form, the humans would definitely think of him as a monster, not a forest wolf roaming freely in the middle of the city.
"You got a satisfactory answer?"
Someone asked her from behind and from the voice Sephie recognized immediately that it was Jayden's voice.
"Do you still care about my satisfaction about this situation? I think you are preoccupied with your feelings of jealousy knowing that Lucien is much stronger than you are."
"Consciously or not, what is clear is that Claude asked us to keep an eye on him. I'm sure that's what Claude told you!"
"Tsk-"
"What's wrong, Sephie? Hmm? Why are you looking like that? Aren't you supposed to be happy to be a part of this secret project?"
"Secret project? Do you think I don't know what you guys are up to? You and Claude, you both know that Lucien's strength and intelligence can knock you out, but on the one hand you need his current strength to get rid of the enemies that will attack. You two are really cowards!"
"Coward? Why don't you look at yourself, Sofia? You're the one who brought your ex-boyfriend here and you hope that your story and him will have a beautiful ending. You want to get the position of alpha, that's why you also try to use Lucien's existence for your benefit, do you? Do you think I don't know your intentions? You sneaky vixen, stop pretending to be nice because in the end Lucien too will know that you want to take advantage of him!" Jayden said while emphasizing speech. He looked at Sephie with a sneer and he knew that currently the only person who had the most ambition to become his rival was Sephie.
Sephie didn't want to prolong this argument because somehow she knew that she wasn't genuinely helping Lucien. She knew that she would not be able to get her revenge on Lucien because Lucien was dead, therefore the only thing she could do was to use Lucien's power to defeat Jayden.
Jayden left after giving an ultimatum to Sephie who seemed at a loss for words to say. But Sephie didn't want to just let Jayden go before she told him that she wasn't going to give up so easily.
"I'm not a wolf, just like you, creatures like us find it difficult to become an alpha. The only potential candidate to replace Claude someday is Lucien. If it's impossible for me to become an alpha, I can at least make Lucien get that chance. Jayden, even though you are very strong, but your rival is the owner of the constantin symbol who just to subdue him you need the help of the execution team. Isn't that very sad? Admit it Jay, that your ambition to become an alpha is increasingly looking impossible. I think you should be satisfied with your position as the commander of the execution division."
Sephie smiled sarcastically, then walked away leaving Jayden who was speechless with a blushing face with annoyance. He knew that a fox demon like Sephie, he couldn't take lightly, instead of Lucien, he knew that the first person he had to get rid of would be Sephie.
"Damn vixen! Just watch out, you're the one who has to be eliminated first. Even if you have to keep roaming this world until the end of the world, I'll make sure you taste a torment far more grievous than hell."

Lucien stood staring out the window. He saw tall trees and forests that surrounded this mansion. It had been two days since that night of the battle, he still had an uneasy feeling in his soul.
He didn't know what really happened to him and why he kept feeling the heat from inside his body since his transformation that night
Knock...knock...knock...
Someone knocked on his door, to be honest, even today he still doesn't want to be disturbed by anyone. His emotions were still unstable and his mood was still very chaotic. It will take time for him to fully recover and return to normal.
"Who...?"
"It's me, Sebastian!" Answered Sebastian. For some reason Lucien felt that he could not refuse Sebastian's arrival.
"Come in!" He said. Sebastian opened the door slowly and walked in to Lucien who was standing in front of the window.
"How are you? Are you feeling better?"
"Not really, I still feel a strange sensation-"
"Like a heat in your body?"
"Yes-"
"It's normal for a demi demon to transform into its monster form. Maybe you're not used to that hot sensation, but if you've transformed a few times, you should feel fine with it."
"Oh, I see?"
"But other than that, I'm just curious about what happened. I feel guilty for making you have to come to the casino without Jayden's permission. I think I should have listened to him that night."
"No!"
"What?"
"What happened that night was the best thing I've ever done so far. I reunited with the four assassins that Victor hired to kill me one year ago. But what was even more shocking was that they weren't humans, but demi demons."
"You must have a hard time believing that, huh?"
"Yeah, I'm relieved that they don't have to wait for Lucifer to come get them, because I was the one who sent them to hell faster."
