"Damn it, they're all the same!" He thought. Every time remembering Victor's words that day and seeing how the figure of Claude who was the current leader made him sick.
He doesn't know why he has to be trapped many times with terrible ambitious people and ends up having to become an asset they consider valuable.
He knew Claude wouldn't let him leave this group just like that, at least that's how he felt.
"What do you want from me?" He said asking Victor about something he could predict quickly.
Victor smiled, he knew Lucien would ask that and that was what he had been waiting for.
"I want you to join the executors' squad with Jayden!"
"Are you kidding?"
"I don't like to joke around, Lucien! I just don't want to waste the first demi-demon's constant strength that you have on your hands. It seems like it would be better if I told you about my true intentions. I don't want to be like Victor pretending I care about you but really just want to use you. I'm going to tell you the truth to make things clear. Your powers are needed to bring The Hunters to the pinnacle of power. I want to make the most of your powers and that's all I want from you."
Lucien gave Claude a sharp and angry look. All of Claude's statements about how to use him really wanted to make him break this guy's neck right now. But he tried his best to keep his emotions stable, he didn't want to act rashly by killing the alpha of a pack this big.
Lucien took a deep breath and let it out slowly. He tries to think clearly and look for positive sides that he can still use to stick to his beliefs. He died and it was Lucifer who brought him back to life. He was around half-demon beings and what could he expect from these creatures other than evil and hatred?
"Ok, I understand. You are the leader here. I will do as you say but that doesn't mean it will go your way."
"Just do what you think is best, Lucien. It's not important whether it's what I want or not. The most important thing is the victory you managed to get!"
"So I'm no longer needed in the gambling club?"
"Who said you weren't needed? I knew you didn't want to be tied down, that's why I let you go. You will only carry out tasks I specifically order, as a jockey or an assassin or even a spy. You are free, Lucien and you are the only one I give you that privilege!"
"Thank you, but I really don't think that's a blessing I should be thankful for."

"What? Lucien can take on the role of executor? Dammit, you've got to be kidding me!"
Jayden went berserk when he heard Claude's statement about Lucien's current position. I don't see why I think so much about Lucien as special.
"This is my decision, Jay. I want you to respect it!"
"But why does it have to be Lucien? There are still many who are capable of holding that role?"
"Who else do you think could hold that role besides Lucien? He's different, Jay! He's special, Lucifer has chosen him. I'm sure you feel that way too. Save all your hatred for him and focus on carrying out your mission as the chief executor."
Suddenly Sephie's annoyed face appeared before them. Sephie folded her arms in front of her chest. Looking at these two men while holding back anger.
"Sephie? What are you doing there?" Ask Jayden.
"I just wanted to meet and talk with Claude, but it looks like I have an important conversation that I can't avoid!"
Claude and Jayden looked at each other for a moment, Claude smiled faintly and then positioned himself casually in his chair.
"Come here! We can talk about Lucien together!"
"What do you mean about Lucien? You want to use him to pursue your personal ambitions?"
"Not my personal ambition, Sephie! But it's about realizing the ultimate goal of The Hunters. I'm sure you already know about the group that calls themselves the Descendants of the Devil, right? They're currently in a city in Italy, but their members have been scattered all over the world."
"Of course I know! They're just like us, sad humans who died and begged the demon king for power to come back to this world with super powers."
"See? You know a lot about them and I'm sure you have no reason to disagree with what I'm about to do!"
"You want to make Lucien your main weapon? You want to use his strength?"
"Yes, I want to take advantage of all the privileges that exist in him!"
"Damn it! You really are too much! I didn't bring Lucien here to be your pet dog!"
"I wouldn't make him my pet dog, Sephie! He is the guardian wolf to The Hunters. He is the main force in the pack. We don't know how strong that group is or what powers they have hidden. But their member base is already huge. I believe they are have something that can make them so confident."
Sephie was silent for a moment, she felt very angry but she couldn't express her anger. Claude's words were right, that's what she thought. But if she had to take advantage of Lucien's power, she could not accept it. She knew how much Lucien hated how he had to be used for something that was someone's ambition.
"Have you told Lucien about this?" She asked. She tried to calm herself.
"Sure, he already knows that I really need his strength!"
"He must have rejected it!"
"Even though he initially refused, in the end he had no other choice but to follow my decision."
"You really are a devil bastard, Claude!" Jayden chirps angrily
"Hahaha...of course! That's why I became the alpha."
