♥ Chapter 18♥
Enzo D'Angelo.
''So that's how it's going to be.'' Luan says, and I'm confused by his statement.
I'm surprised when he takes my hand and pulls me over to their bed.
''What?'' I ask, feeling out of place as he makes me sit down.
“So, let's get to know each other right here.” They sit on the bed, facing me.
''This is how it's going to be,'' Lucas explains. ''You ask me a question, I answer, and then I ask you a question. When you answer, you pass it on to Luan. Understand?
'' Yes. '' I say, still confused by all this.
'Go ahead.'' Luan encourages.
I look at Lucas, trying to understand what's going on in their heads.
''Why do they want me?'' I'm really curious. The idea of someone really wanting me seems absurd to me.
Lucas tilts his head to one side, thinking before answering.
''Because you're too beautiful, your cheeky way won us over from day one.
I'm not naughty!
'' Okay. '' I reply, not knowing what else to say.
''My turn. Do you consider yourself heterosexual?
'' It's more like demisexual. '' I admit, against my will.
'' Oh yes, demisexuality only works when you're sexually attracted to someone you already have some kind of emotional or intellectual connection with. '' Luan comments, and I nod in agreement.
''Yes.'' I confirm, and they nod, understanding.
''You can ask me, darling. '' Luan teases, but I ignore the nickname.
''You're a chicken person, aren't you?'' I ask directly, and Lucas laughs.
''I'm sorry for that impression, darling. Yes, I used to be like that. I used to pick on people, I don't deny it. But the only person I want now is you.'' He looks at me with a smile, and I look away.
So why do you want someone with no experience?
'' My turn to ask, darling. '' Luan says, his tone softer.
I look at him, waiting for his question.
''Why are you so nasty?'' I grimace.
''I'm not nasty. '' I say, feeling annoyed.
''Then why are you so angry?'' he insists.
I let out a sigh, tired of this interrogation.
''I've always been sarcastic, but at every school I went to, people would get on my nerves by badmouthing my mother for having two husbands. That really annoyed me, so I stopped being sarcastic and became a person who gets angry easily. I also got that from my father, Elijah.
Luan leans in, almost kissing me.
''I'd love to get to know your sarcastic side,'' he says, smiling.
''Keep a little distance. '' I put my hand on his chest, pushing him back slightly.
''All right.'' Luan agrees, stepping back. I sigh and look at Lucas again.
'Why do you want someone with no experience in anything?'' I asked, trying to understand their intentions.
They sigh at the same time.
''Enzo, nobody is born knowing everything. We want you to be ours, whether you have experience or not. We can teach you.'' Lucas replies seriously.
''I still think this is a prank. What's the fun in having me? As you yourselves say, I'm rude, ignorant, and impatient. Why do you want me? You can have anyone in the world.
'' We don't want anyone but you. '' Luan says firmly. '' We chose you, Enzo.
We always wanted someone to call our own, but everyone only wanted us for the money. We know you're not like that. You're honest, if you don't like something, you say so to your face. That's why we're attracted to you,'' Lucas explains, smiling a little.
''Give us a chance to show that we're serious, Enzo. We don't want to play with your feelings.
I let out a sigh, reflecting on what I'd heard.
All right, I'll let you try to win me over in your own way. But if you want to kiss me, you'll have to ask permission. '' I say, and they both crack a huge smile.
'' It's okay, darling. '' they say together, in unison.
We return to our game of getting to know each other better. The conversation flows naturally, and little by little, I feel more at ease. However, when I look at the clock, I realize that it's already eight o'clock at night. My legs are numb from sitting so much, and I'm starting to feel tired. I let out a small yawn, feeling sleep coming on.
''I think it's time for bed. '' I say, a little sleepily.
I've always had a habit of going to bed early. When the clock strikes eight or nine, I'm already fighting sleep. Before I know it, I'm suddenly pulled up by Luan, who lays me down between him and Lucas.
''What the fuck, Luan!'' I mutter, feeling my body crash against the mattress. He laughs at my reaction.
''Go to sleep. We're not going to do anything to you, but we don't want you away from us now that you've accepted the challenge,'' he explains, as I feel Lucas' arms wrap around me. His warm breath touches the back of my neck, and, involuntarily, my skin shivers. I try to pull away, but they both hold me firmly.
''This is uncomfortable. '' I say, trying to pull away, but to no avail.
''Soon, you'll get used to it.'' Lucas whispers in my ear.
Luan hugs me too, placing my face against his chest. His legs intertwine with mine, trapping me even tighter between them. I'm surrounded, with no way out, and their closeness makes me uneasy, but at the same time, there's something comforting about this touch.
“Sleep, my love,” says Luan, his soft voice contrasting with his authoritarian attitude. He begins to stroke my hair, and the repetitive, gentle movement surprises me. I've never received this kind of affection before, not even from my mother.
I feel a soft kiss on the top of my head, and the stroking continues, relaxing my tired body. Furthermore, I yawn once more, defeated by the tiredness that consumes me.
''That's... good. '' I think, as sleep finally overcomes me. The last thing I smell is the woody scent of Luan's perfume, which envelops me and reassures me.
I soon fall asleep, surrounded by a sense of security that I've never experienced before.
