♥ Chapter 27♥

Enzo D'Angelo.

''I know that, and I apologize. But I also want a kiss from that beautiful mouth of yours.'' he says, the tone of his voice needy and persuasive. I feel a slight blush rise on my cheeks.

'' I'll think about your case. '' I reply, trying to maintain a cool tone, although my voice betrays a certain warmth.

''Then think about it carefully. '' he whispers, kissing my ear, which makes me even more uneasy.

''Are you having fun without me?'' asks Lucas, leaning his face into my neck and giving me a soft kiss.

''Fuck, stop it,'' I growl, getting up suddenly. ''Where's the bathroom?'' I ask, trying to escape the situation.

''Over there in that corridor. '' Lucas points with a casual gesture.

I walk quickly down the corridor, passing several tables. People continue to stare at me, increasing my feeling of discomfort. I enter the bathroom and look around, admiring the well-lit, large space. I approach the mirror and notice that my cheeks are a little red.

''These two are going to be the death of me,'' I mutter to myself, my voice laced with frustration. I make my way to one of the cabins, where I go to the bathroom. When I've finished, I go back to the sink and wash my hands.

''You think you are, don't you?'' I hear a voice, and I look in the mirror to see the boy who had asked who I was earlier.

He's about my height, with light brown hair and dark green eyes. His expression is one of disdain.

''I don't know what you're talking about,'' I reply, genuinely confused by the situation.

''I'm going to tell you something.'' He approaches me and points a threatening finger at my chest. ''The twins are mine. Stay away from them.

'' I didn't know they were objects. '' I retort, trying to stay calm.

''Stay away from them.'' he growls, his tone menacing.

''There's no way I can stay away. I've been living in their house for a while, I sleep in their room and even in their bed.'' I say, a slightly satisfied smile forming on my lips.

He pushes me hard against the sink, and the pain is intense, my back colliding with the cold marble. The impact is painful and unexpected.

'' You... '' He hits me with a slap, and a wave of anger begins to rise inside me.

Without thinking twice, I punch him hard in the face. He staggers backwards, and I take advantage of the opening to hit him in the stomach and chin, sending him crashing to the ground.

'' You think I'm helpless? You're wrong.'' I say it coldly, my voice sharp.

'' Y-Y-You... idiot. '' he stutters, getting up a little disoriented.

I deliver a knee to his stomach, followed by an elbow to his back, and throw him to the ground. He tries to get up, but is clearly dazed.

'' If you think you can mess with someone who's quiet, thinking they're weak, you're really mistaken. Never judge someone by their appearance, because it can end very badly.'' I say, stepping over him, my voice firm and merciless.

I leave the bathroom with a palpable irritation, my chest still inflating and deflating with deep breaths in an attempt to regain my composure. The situation in the bathroom had left me with a knot in my stomach, but I refuse to show weakness.

I had learned to fight with Alex. I didn't want to be a helpless victim, someone others could use as a punching bag. The decision to train myself was one of the best I've ever made, and now I'm grateful to have that skill.

I return to the table, my steps firm, but my state of mind is far from calm. The twins, with serious expressions, watch me intently as I approach them.

''What happened to your face, Enzo?'' Luan asks, holding my face with concern.

I try to pull away gently.

''It was no big deal.'' I say, trying hard to look away.

Lucas, looking just as serious, is also concerned.

''Who did this to you?'' he asks.

''I'm fine, really. Stop worrying.'' I insist, finally managing to pull my face away from Luan's hands.

''I'm not going to ask you again, Enzo. Who did this to you?'' Luan repeats, the seriousness in his voice leaving no room for evasion.

I let out an exasperated sigh.

''A boy in the bathroom tried to threaten me, and when that didn't work, he turned to violence. I'm fine, unlike him, who's on the bathroom floor.'' I explain, trying to minimize the situation.

Luan growls low and walks away, heading towards his father. I see Lucas pull me into a more secluded corner.

''Lucas, there's no need to kill the boy,'' I say, trying to stop the violence from escalating.

Lucas watches me with an imperturbable gaze.

''He touched what is ours,'' he says, with a possessive tone.

''I'm not an object, Lucas,'' I retort, feeling my irritation rise.

''No, you're not. But that doesn't change the fact that you're ours.'' Lucas replies, his possessiveness evident in his words. I look at Luan, who is now whispering something in his father's ear.

Christopher, the twins' father, waves to a security guard and calls him over. The security guard approaches, and Christopher whispers something in his ear. The security guard walks away, heading for the corridor.

''Lucas, that's not necessary. '' I say seriously, the concern at the escalation of the situation evident in my voice.

''Yes, it is. Enzo, nobody touches you and gets away with it. I survived to tell the tale. '' Lucas crosses his arms, a resolute look on his face.

''Since when did you become so possessive?'' I ask, trying to understand this new side of the twins.

''As soon as we laid eyes on you,'' Lucas replied with a sideways smile.

I snort in disapproval, my gaze turning to Luan, who is standing behind me.

''The boy won't be a problem anymore,'' says Luan, his tone serious.

'' That wasn't necessary. '' I say, frustrated that they didn't listen to my attempt to resolve the situation on my own. ''I know how to defend myself when someone tries something on me.

'' We know that. '' they both say in unison. ''But now you have someone to defend you, even if you don't like the methods.

I let out a sigh and looked at my family, who were watching me with a mixture of concern and discomfort.

'' I want to leave. I've had enough of this. My back is aching, and my body's only desire is to lie down on a bed,'' I say, my tone tired and exasperated.

''All right, we'll take you,'' Lucas says, the seriousness still present in his voice.

“What about the party?” I ask, confused.

''It can go on, but without us.'' Lucas replies, walking away. Luan guides me to a door marked as an emergency exit.

We go out into an alleyway, where Luan pulls me towards the car.

''Luan, I can walk,'' I say, trying to refuse his help.

When Luan pulls me closer and kisses me, I feel a whirlwind of emotions. The kiss begins softly but soon intensifies, and the sensation is one of unexpected warmth. His tongue slides slowly into my mouth, exploring with a touch that is both firm and tender. It's as if he's trying to convey all his support and comfort through this gesture.

His hands, firmly on my waist, add a sense of security that contrasts with the turmoil I feel inside. The grip is gentle but at the same time decisive, as if he were anchoring me in a moment of instability. Every movement of the kiss is carefully calculated, and I can feel the connection between us deepening with every second. The warmth emanating from him mixes with my own, creating a feeling of union that is both intimate and comforting.

As the kiss becomes more intense, the pressure of his lips against mine makes me feel truly present. It's as if all the worries and tensions accumulated during the night dissolve with this touch. The rhythm of the kiss is enveloping, and every moment seems to prolong the sense of calm he's trying to offer me.

When we finally pull away, the touch of his lips still seems to vibrate on my skin. Luan smiles softly and murmurs:

''Now I've managed to calm down.

With a sigh of relief, I get into the car, the weight of the night still hanging over me. This night has been chaotic, but for now, at least, the turmoil seems to have found a brief moment of calm.
Conquered by the Moretti Twins.
