♥ Chapter 24♥
Enzo D'Angelo.
When we got to the place, we got out of the car, and the twins appeared beside me as if out of nowhere.
'' Come on, darling. We're going to show you around.'' Lucas says, putting his arm around my waist, while Luan intertwines our hands, guiding me into the ballroom.
I observe the environment, which is truly impressive. The ballroom is vast, with high ceilings adorned with crystal chandeliers that cast a soft, shimmering light over the entire space. The walls are covered with dark wood paneling and gold details, creating a sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. The floor is polished marble, reflecting the light and giving the room a subtle glow.
The tables are elegantly arranged around the room, dressed with white linen tablecloths and lush floral arrangements in silver centerpieces. Each place setting is delicately decorated with sparkling cutlery, crystal glasses, and perfectly folded napkins. The chairs, upholstered in dark blue velvet, match the overall decor and are comfortable.
At the back of the hall, there is a stage where a live band is playing soft music, adding a touch of sophistication to the event. The atmosphere is filled with a mixture of excited murmurs and laughter, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The large windows, covered with silk curtains, allow a panoramic view of the illuminated garden outside, where decorative lights twinkle between the trees.
The hall is a space where elegance and comfort meet, providing a perfect setting for the celebration.
''What time will the guests arrive?'' I ask, still admiring the place.
''The party starts at ten o'clock, but the first guests will probably start arriving around nine,'' they both reply in unison.
“And what time is it now?” I ask, curious.
''It's half past eight,'' they answer together.
'' Are you going to answer everything together now? '' I ask, and they both kiss me on the cheek. '' Stop it! '' I growl, annoyed, making them laugh.
''Come on, let's get you to the table,'' says Luan.
I'm led to the table, where the whole family is already sitting. They settle down and pull me into their midst.
''Stop pulling me all the time,'' I complain, letting out a sigh.
''We're sorry, darling. '' they both say, giving me another kiss on the cheek.
I sigh and decide not to say anything else so as not to stress myself out even more. I see waiters approaching with drinks for everyone. Furthermore, I notice that most of them are getting alcoholic drinks, but when it's my turn, I get a glass of Coca-Cola. I take the drink and take a sip.
''Is it okay for you to drink this?'' Luan asks.
''I don't like alcoholic drinks. '' I reply, looking at them both. ''And don't even try to kiss me on the cheek if it tastes of alcohol. '' I warn, seriously, and they nod.
'' It's all right, darling.

21:30 '' Ballroom '' Italy.
I watch the two of them dancing with their friends who have arrived. There are so many people that I need to get even closer to my family.
“You look terrified,” says Klaus, laughing.
''I hate crowded places. '' I reply, taking another sip of my drink.
“You seem calmer now,” says Klaus. I look at him and sigh.
“Yes, I am calmer,” I say. Klaus gives me a kiss on the cheek, which leaves me confused. “And I don't like incest, okay?” I say, and he laughs.
“How I miss your debauchery,” he says, snorting with laughter.
“Are you drunk yet?” I ask, and he nods.
''No, I'm just happy. Those twins are making progress with you,'' he says. I look at him and sigh.
“I don't know,” I reply. Now it's his turn to snort.
“Why aren't you honest with yourself, Enzo?” asks Klaus, staring at me.
''What do you mean?
''Why don't you admit to yourself that the twins are good for you?'' Klaus asks with a curious tone.
''I don't know them well yet, Klaus. I've only got two months here to find out how I feel about them,'' I reply, looking at the two brothers who are still dancing. Luan pulls Lucas close, and they dance together, an image that seems to be an extension of the natural harmony between them. Lucas spins around, and, as he turns, his gaze stops on me. He gives me a small smile before going back to dancing with Luan.
''Did you see?'' Klaus insists.
''Saw what?
'' The way he looked at you.
''I think everyone noticed, Klaus. '' I say, a little embarrassed. '' 'I'm going for a walk. '' I say, and I get up.
As I walk away, I pass several people who, without realizing it, push me lightly. With each bump, my discomfort increases.
''Oh, get the fuck away from me!'' I growl angrily when someone pushes me harder, almost knocking me over.
I manage to get out of the hall a little and breathe a deep sigh of relief when I find a quieter space.
