09:01 '' Provisional Detention Center II Guarulhos '' Cafeteria '' Sao Paulo '' Brazil.

After picking up our trays of food, if that's even called food, we headed to a large empty table.

''Don't worry about the food, it may look horrible, but it actually tastes good. '' He said, sitting down.

''Right. ''I sat down too.

''Let's eat.

He started eating, and I looked at my plate, it looked like some kind of soup, but it's not soup. ''With great fear, I put it in my mouth, feeling the taste, it's not bad.

''By the look of your face, you liked it. '' He said laughing.

''It's good. '' He waved.

We begin to eat in silence, out of nowhere the cafeteria is invaded by the other prisoners.

''It was about time for them to arrive. '' Spoke carelessly.

Of course, he's already used to it, I'm the new guy on the block, holy shit!

''Well, I'll give you some advice, never look the other prisoners in the eye, they'll think you're looking for trouble.

''Understood, thanks for the warning.

'' You are welcome.

I let out a small sigh and finished eating.

''See that group over there? '' He pointed, and I turned my head to see.

I see a huge group sitting at a table after getting their meals.

''Yes, what about it? '' I asked looking at him now.

''They are the new leaders of the prison, temporarily.

''What do you mean temporarily? '' He took a sip of the juice and let out a sigh.

''The leader of this prison is the devil, he is in solitary confinement for killing a police officer. ''I was surprised by this information. ''Every time he is in solitary confinement, the other inmates fight among themselves to be the new leader temporarily. So, be very careful not to attract their attention, they all like new meat.

I swallowed hard.

''You like making me scared, don't you? '' He laughed.

''No, I'm warning you how things work around here, the cops have no power in this place. The devil went to solitary confinement because he wanted to, I think he wanted to take a break, I don't know. The only thing I know is that he is not a man to be trifled with, be careful not to end up being killed by him, obey and maybe you will live.

I took several deep breaths to keep from crying.

''Why were you arrested? '' He asked, crossing his arms.

''The damn cops put a kilo of marijuana in my college backpack and said it was mine. '' He laughed, shaking his head.

''This always happens, in every prison there will always be someone who was unjustly imprisoned.

'' And you? ''He looked at me. ''Why were you arrested?

''I killed my father. '' Spoke without remorse. ''He abused my mother, so I lost my temper and killed him without any pity, something I don't regret.

''How long have you been here?

''Last week was three years. '' I looked at him in shock.

''That long. '' He laughed.

''Dear, everyone here has the maximum sentence, up to thirty years in prison.

I wanted to know mine, how long will I stay here? That shitty police officer didn't say anything, he just ordered me to be brought to this place.

'' And you? '' I looked blankly at him. ''How long did it take?

''I don't know, the delegate who ordered me to be brought here didn't apologize for me. '' He raised one of his eyebrows.

''So who will decide this is the director? He will keep an eye on you, and then he can call you to express his pity. '' I nodded without much motivation.

''Why, new meat on the block. ''I was startled by a voice behind me.

I turned to see who it was and saw a very handsome young man by the way.

He is a little tall, he is white and has light brown hair, his eye color is a very light blue, making him even more handsome.

''Ah, Baby, this is Alex, he arrived here at the prison yesterday. '' Said the little doll pointing at me.

''Um.'' He looked at me. ''Be careful, little angel, you might end up being eaten by someone.

My whole body shook with fear at this.

''Well, I'll be going, bye. ''He walked away leaving us alone again.

I looked scared at my cellmate who laughed.

''He is jealous of you. '' I frown.

'' What? Why?

''Beautiful, you're really stupid. '' He rested his elbows on the table and looked at me smiling. ''You are too beautiful, you even surpassed Baby, he noticed this and got angry.

''Now that's it, besides me being arrested because of those unfortunates, a young man hates me because I'm a little pretty, I'm still at risk of being raped, what a good life. ''I cover my face with my hands frustrated with it all.

The urge to cry is too great.

''Oh, sweetheart, don't be like that, I'll help you, you can count on me. '' He said, placing his hand on my shoulder.

''How are you going to help me? If a guy wants to rape me, what will he do? '' I asked with tears in my eyes.

''I'll try to help you, Alex, I liked you, you look like me when I got to this place, Baby helped me, now I'm going to help you.

I let out a sigh at that.

'' Thanks. '' He smiled at me. ''Can you tell me your name? Calling you a doll is strange to me.

He laughed.

''You can just call me B.

''Alright then, B.

''Let's take our dishes, I will explain to you the tasks we need to do.

''Right.

We got up with our trays and I followed him, looked at the prisoners in the cafeteria and saw that black guy on the other side looking at me smiling.

I became a target.

''Why doesn't that guy stop staring at me? '' I asked B, very scared.

''His nickname here is black guy; he always gets all the newbies; if the sex is good for him, you become exclusively his.

''H-How do you know that? '' I asked.

''Well, I already had sex with him, he didn't like it very much, thank God. '' Laughed alone. ''I didn't want to be his, in fact, I don't want to be anyone's, but if someone wants me, I can't refuse.

''And why not? '' I asked without understanding.

Everyone has choices.

''Because I don't want to die. ''Seriously spoken. ''Alex, you've noticed that there aren't many young people here, haven't you?

'' Oh yes. '' I agree.

''They were all killed for not obeying the other prisoners, my friends and I are alive for obeying, you're going to have to stop being proud, in here no one has choices. ''Told me seriously. ''I am warning you for your own good.

I nodded in agreement without being able to say anything else. We handed over the dirty trays, and he pulled me out of the cafeteria.

''Everyone works here, I mean, except the devil and Baby, but the rest have to work.

''What are the jobs?

''It has everything, you can work in the kitchen, you can work in the laundry, clean the bathrooms.

''What do you work in?

''I prefer to wash my clothes, in the bathroom one of them could appear and rape you, it already happened to me. ''I was scared by it.

''Are you okay? '' He nodded.

''Yes, just with some pain in the ass. '' He shrugged. ''There's also an infirmary here, it's shit, but it's enough to cover the expense.

''Right.

How can someone be so calm? He must have suffered so much here that he got used to these horrible treatments.
