♥Chapter 39♥
21:15, ''Nightclub'' Italy.
Enzo D'Angelo.
I let out a heavy sigh and covered my face with my hands, feeling the frustration gnawing at my insides.
''This is the first time I regret something... I was an idiot just now. '' I mutter to myself, trying to process what just happened.
I get up from the couch and go to the large glass window that overlooks the dance floor. Down below, I can see Luan and Lucas dancing together, their bodies in perfect tune. Luan rests her head on Lucas's shoulder, and the scene makes my stomach feel sick. I bring my hand to my chest and squeeze lightly, as if I could relieve the pressure I feel there.
''I really was an asshole...
I start pacing the room, trying to organize my thoughts. The truth is that I didn't mean to be cruel, but the words came out with a force that I couldn't control. The way Luan treats me, always with this intensity, makes me question whether he really sees me just as a sexual object. I don't know what to think. My head is a mess, and I seem to have lost the ability to have a calm conversation without being rude.
What's wrong with me? I've changed so much... I can't be kind to almost anyone else except my mother and parents. Well, Klaus, let it go.
I look back at the dance floor, and discomfort grows when I see two guys approaching Luan and Lucas. They seem to know each other, considering the smiles exchanged. My body tenses as I see them leave the dance floor and head to the bar. Luan and Lucas sit together, and the two strangers position themselves next to them, one next to Luan and the other to Lucas.
I feel a wave of jealousy wash over me. The two are very close. I purse my lips when one of the boys whispers something in Lucas' ear.
I need to do something, but what? Furthermore, I feel helpless.
I approach the bar and grab a beer. When I open it, the strong smell of the drink makes me feel nauseous, but I decide to take a sip, feeling the liquid burn my throat.
''Damn… This is horrible! '' I mumble, but I still continue drinking.
One more glass. Then another. And another one. In the end, I've already drunk five glasses, and the dizziness starts to take over. My body feels heavy and disoriented.
''What the hell... I'm really drunk. '' I mutter, grabbing a bottle of water to try to lessen the effect.
I walk back to the glass and almost spit out the water when I see the guy next to Luan sliding his hand over her thigh. How can he allow this?
I throw the bottle on the floor, not caring about the noise, and quickly leave the VIP area. I go down the stairs, ignoring the deafening volume of the music that makes my heart race in my chest.
''What a hell of a loud sound! '' I mumble as I walk through the crowd, being bumped and groped by people who don't even bother to apologize.
I get close to the bar and see that the two strangers are still there—too close to the twins. The hand of the unfortunate man next to Luan remains on her thigh, and I feel my blood boil. I take a deep breath, trying to maintain control, but I know I need to act.
I take a firm step toward them. My eyes are fixed on the boy next to Luan, who slides his hand further down, reaching his knees and returning to his thigh.
''Luan! '' I call, my voice firmer than I expected.
Luan turns to me, and without thinking twice, I pull him away and kiss him hard. He seems surprised at first, but soon relents, grabbing my waist and pulling me closer. My hands get lost in your hair, squeezing it intensely. He sighs into the kiss, and that only makes me deepen it more. Our tongues meet in battle, and I feel the world around us disappear.
When we finally part for air, his lips are red, just like mine probably are. I turn to Lucas, and, without hesitation, I grab the collar of his shirt and kiss him with the same intensity. My tongue explores your mouth while my other hand clings to your hair. Lucas moans lowly, his hands sliding around my waist and pulling me closer. I feel his right hand entering my shirt and touching my skin, and I sigh at the sensation.
When we separate, he still has his hand inside my shirt, looking at me with a mixed expression of surprise and amusement.
''Did you drink, dear? '' he asks, his voice soft.
'' A little. '' I admit, feeling my head spin slightly.
He turns me onto my back, pulling me to sit on his knees. I feel his chin rest on my shoulder as he wraps his arm around my waist. My eyes meet Luan's, and I try to understand what is happening around me.
