''We don't care about death, Enzo,'' says Luan, looking at me with a mix of sadness and determination. His voice is firm, but his gaze reveals a deep vulnerability. ''We love you very much, and we took the risk of coming here, even though we knew the dangers. Without you, our lives have no more meaning.

''You have become our air, Enzo. We love you, and that is the purest truth'' adds Lucas, with a tone of sincerity that touches the depths of my soul.

The two kneel on the ground, an expression of regret written on their faces.

''Forgive us, Enzo'' they say in unison, lowering their heads in a sign of supplication.

I look away from them, unable to face so much sadness and regret.

''I don't know what to do'' I sigh, trying to control the tears that threaten to fall.

This is not me. This feeling of betrayal and pain is new to me, and I feel like I'm losing a part of myself.

''You managed to win me over, I fell in love with you two. I can even admit that I already love you. But... You guys hurt me a lot. I hate lies.

''Please forgive us,'' Lucas begs, his voice shaking with emotion. ''We promise never to lie or hide anything from you again. We love you so much, Enzo.

I know they love me for the simple fact that they are here, even under threat. My parents had warned that anyone in their family who set foot here would be killed.

''How did you manage to get here? '' I ask, trying to understand the magnitude of the situation.

They both sigh, as if they were relieved to finally be able to explain.

''We barely set foot here, and we were already taken to the warehouse. Your parents arrived there, and we explained the reason for our visit,' says Luan.

''We said we didn't mind dying,'' adds Lucas seriously. ''I'd rather die than not have you in our arms, Enzo.

I let out a sigh, approaching the edge of the bed and watching them still kneel.

''When you love, you forgive. But I'm afraid that you guys might hurt me again,'' I say, my voice cracking a little.

They both approach me, and I allow it, feeling the need to hug them and, at the same time, fearing what might come next.

''We will never hide anything from you again. See, '' Luan says, taking out her cell phone and handing it to me. ''Look at the photos.

I look at my cell phone screen and see several photos of myself while I sleep. A strange sensation mixes with my disgust.

''I took these photos on your first day there. I was already crazy about you. His bold manner only won us over even more. I wanted to keep a piece of you,'' Luan explains, her voice full of affection.

I look at the photos, and a slight smile appears on my face. It's hard not to feel a little affection for them.

''You two are idiots,'' I say, with a weak smile.

''Yes, we are'' agreeing in unison. ''But we are idiots in love with you.

I say nothing, and they get up.

''Darling, we missed you so much, even if it was just one day. Having you away from us was the worst thing in the world'' says Lucas, with a look full of longing?

''Please forgive us'' he begs again.

I sigh and look at them, feeling a whirlwind of emotions inside me.

''If you hide anything else from me, I'll kill you,'' I say, trying to sound serious, but a smile forms on my lips.

They smiled hugely, relieved.

''You can leave it, love'' they say, before jumping on me.

''Oh, fuck! '' they exclaim together, and I start laughing. They make me smile.

''How we missed this'' they say, kissing my cheek.

Luan kisses me, and I feel a deep relief. I miss that physical contact. Soon, Lucas joins the kiss, forming a triple kiss.

''Fuck, how I missed this,'' Lucas says, burying his face in my neck. ''I love you, Enzo.

''Unfortunately, I love you both too,'' I reply, and they burst into laughter, joy filling the room.

'' Holy crap! '' shouts Luan, standing up quickly. ''Something wrapped around my leg.

I laugh when I see my snake wrapped around his leg.

''Didn’t you guys say you wanted to meet my snake? Here she is'' I say, laughing.

Luan looks at me, scared.

''Love, look at the size of this creature, take it away, please'' he asks, still scared.

''And you said you'd rather die,'' I joke.

''Yeah, I'd rather die from a bullet than be eaten by a snake,'' he grumbles.

''Pythons don't eat humans, you idiot'' I respond, still laughing.

I take the snake off his leg and place it on the ground. She slides under the bed. I lay down on the bed, and they both lay on either side of my body, hugging me. I would be a liar if I said I wasn't enjoying it. Furthermore, I missed that human warmth.

''We will never lie to you again, Enzo'' they say in unison. ''Or we will hide something from you unless it is a surprise.

I smile slightly and sigh. I really changed because of them. Likewise, I never thought I would be able to love someone, or rather, two people, at the same time. But see now, I forgave them easily for loving them.

Love makes us vulnerable, but I love these two idiots.

I pull them closer to me.

''I love you,'' I say sincerely.

They kiss my neck.

''And we love you too, our Enzo'' they respond in chorus.
