Picnic with the princess of Cones
"Eat this," Jules said whilst nudging the plate filled with bacon and cheese close to Janice.
He watched as she picked at the food in front of her and wondered what she was thinking about when she tilted her head.
"Are you feeling unwell again? Because if you are, we can go back to the castle." Jules stated, creasing his brows.
"I am fine, Jules. Don't worry about me," Janice said with a small smile.
She wasn't feeling unwell like he had thought. Rather, she was getting tired of the ludicrous flirting the young princess was doing in front of her with her husband.
Since they had arrived, all the princess had been doing was caressing Jules's bicep.
Though it was meant to be discreet, Janice had noticed every movement from the corner of her eyes.
Also, she had caught her in the action which meant she was doing it, perhaps, to rile her.
"You haven't touched your food since. Bacon is your favourite and right now it seems like it disgusts you." Jules pointed out.
"I have no appetite for this." Janice crinkled her nose as she nudged the food toward him.
"Is it the baby? I'll call the doctor tomorrow to have a check up on you. I want you both to be very healthy." He asserted.
"I believe she isn't hungry." Princess Gabrielle chimed in. "If she was, she wouldn't play around with food nor would she think of wasting it."
Janice narrowed her eyes on her. "Perhaps, when you become pregnant, you should tell this to me again when your favourite food is placed in front of you."
The princess snorted whilst looking at the other woman. She didn't like Janice and she wouldn't pretend as she does.
Gabrielle had been heartbroken when she heard Jules was married to another woman.
She had been infatuated with Jules for as long as she could remember. Though she was barely nineteen years of age, she had imagined the dashing prince getting married to her.
However, she knew Jules had seen her more like a sister than a potential lover and Gabriella had vowed to make him know she wanted him.
Aside from the construction of their castle which was the sole reason for her family being here, Gabrielle had decided to await court season.
It had pleased her Jules had accepted for her to stay behind even though the construction of their castle would have been done by then.
"I'm sure I won't be as bad as you look." Gabrielle snickered.
Jules chuckled, shaking his head. He realized Princess Gabrielle was still the brat she was, no doubt.
But, it was even more ridiculous to see his wife jealous of a mere child and getting worked up because of her.
Annoyed at how lightly Jules was taking the matter, Janice lifted her hand as the princess was about to talk.
"Young lady, I'm the Queen of Cherview, and you don't talk to me in such a manner except if you are the King's mother or a Queen." Janice cautioned.
"A man wouldn't find you attractive if you don't learn to bridle your tongue," Janice added whilst glancing at her.
The princess blushed, before scowling at her. But she didn't say anything.
Janice let out a relieved sigh. She wonders what she would have done if the princess decided to retort.
Not that she was scared of her, Janice wanted to be the virtuous wife Jules mother had desired for her son.
Also, since she had arrived two months ago, a lot of people had looked up to her and also come to seek advice concerning their marriage.
Janice had taken it upon herself to be their guidance though she wasn't an expert when it comes to taming men, she had tried her very best to give each good advice.
Also, she noticed most of the women were looking up to her and she didn't want to disappoint any even though the last thing she wanted was to be in Cherview.
The rest of the day was enjoyed in silence and Jules had taken them to the landscape as he had promised.

"I'm sorry Darling, Gabrielle has always been this way," Jules followed his wife as she entered the bedchamber. He shut the door behind him and stepped towards her.
"But, you encouraged her behaviour," Janice said, glaring. "If you had cautioned her, she would have learnt how to bridle that nasty tongue of hers."
"Perhaps and I admit it was my fault."
"It was," Janice said. "Also, I realized you didn't notice she fancies you."
"Are you saying this because you are jealous of her or because of what she said to you?"
"I know you have known her your whole life. But, you are blind to the advances of a lot of women."
"I'm not jealous of Gabrielle because you are already mine." Janice smiled whilst glancing at the golden band on her ring finger.
"I like the sound of that." Jules chuckled.
He stepped towards her and tugged the robe she had changed into off her body.
Jules licked his lips and his pupils dilated as he stared at the beautiful globes in front of him. "You are so perfect, Madame."
"Sometimes, I wonder how I got lucky to have you."
He caressed each breast whilst tugging at the sensitive bud of her nipples. "Do you know what is even more perfect?"
"What?" Janice moaned as he sucked her earlobes.
"My child nestled inside of you," Jules smirked.
Janice gasped as Jules pushed her gently on the bed.
"Tell me what you want, Madame and your wishes will be granted." Jules rasped, stroking her inner thigh.
Janice back arched and her eyes rolled into her head. "Make love t-to m-me." She gasped as he pushed a finger into her wet core.
"Very well, Madame. Your wish shall be granted."
Jules tugged off his clothes and laid beside his wife, caressing, kissing and pleasuring every inch of her body.
