"How dare he do that to me?!" Janice paced around the room, gritting her teeth. She balled her hands into fists and exhaled noisily through her nose.
"I don't think he is aware of this. I believe what Jules says, and you don't have to blame him. He is even astonished himself." Margie pointed out.
She glanced briefly away from her phone, then at Janice.
"I don't care if he is astonished or not! Why the hell will he go about assessing everything in a skirt?!"
Janice tossed her hands in the air. "I should have known he would never change. I thought he was beginning to become the kind of man I want..."
"He changed for you." Margie interrupted.  "He might have done all those things, but he loves you. Besides, that was even before he met you. So, you don't have to be mad at him."
Janice scowled and swiped at the angry tears on her cheeks. She stared at her phone as it vibrated.
Her mouth went agape as several pictures of Jules with a woman unclad popped up. It was a recent picture, Janice noticed because he had donned the same suit in the picture whilst she was in labour. Also, she saw the date at the bottom of the screen.
Her phone clattered to the floor and she puffed out breaths through her opened mouth as her chest tightened. Her head reeled and she stumbled towards the vanity, gripping it to aid her fall.
It wasn't until Margie spoke that she snapped out of her daze.
"What is wrong?" Margie asked as she saw the dazed expression on her face.
She noticed tears pooling around her eyes and sliding down her cheeks slowly.
Margie gazed at Prince Michael and noticed he was still asleep. She took him towards his room, which was beside Janice's and Jules so that their conversation wouldn't disturb him because she sensed Janice was about to throw a tantrum.
After making sure the infant was well settled in, she stepped back into the room.
She snatched the phone Janice had dropped to the ground, and she shook her head at the pictures on the screen.
Jules chose the opportunity to step inside, and before he could say a word, Janice marched towards him.
His head tipped backwards as a blow landed right on his left cheek, followed by several punches on his chest.
He clasped Janice's hand and glared at her. "What the hell, woman?! I didn't know all this happened. I don't know why you are freaking blaming me!"
Jules growled as she struggled against him. "F**king keep yourself in check!"
Margie winced at the number of cuss words coming out of Jules' mouth. Since she had known him, she couldn't recall the last time she heard him swear.
He only did that when he was furious and he never often got angry. He was always in control of his emotions.
"You don't know?!" Janice bristled, yanking her hand away from his. "I don't think I will ever believe your lies anymore. You are a f**king cheat and I hate you! I hate each second I see your face."
"If I ever said I loved you, I lied. You are a piece of shit and a cheat!"
"Enough!" Jules snarled, then stepped towards her.
"Don't touch me." Janice gritted. She flung the door open and walked out of the room.
"Damn!" Jules yelled, kicking the door. He turned to gaze into the disapproving eyes of Margie.
"That is not cool." Margie shook her head and extended the phone with her to him. "Imagine I was here defending you."
Jules gazed at the phone and narrowed his eyes. "That little bitch!"
"It's good you are not defending yourself. So, why did you do it when you have a wife? I mean imagine this picture had come up whilst she was in labour? What would have happened?"
Jules didn't want to imagine what would have happened. The birth of his son itself had been a difficult thing, and he was certain if the picture had come up then, Janice might have some complication. Even if she didn't, she wouldn't have stuck around for this long.
Even though they were legally bound, she'd still leave as she had left before.
He stared at the phone in his hand again, he felt like strangling the slut. If he had known she took a picture of them to use it against him now, he would have demanded her to delete them.
"It's good to see you speechless," Margie said. She caressed her slight bump and shook her head. "I am glad I chose the son with less drama. I don't think I will handle it if a woman comes with Jeremy's son or something like this happens."
"I didn't mean to hurt her," Jules mumbled after a while. He sat on the bed and ran his hand through his dishevelled hair. "I didn't know when this was taken. I believe it was a setup because I didn't know she was in bed with me until morning. I would never cheat on Janice. I love her."
Still, Jules didn't think love mattered now. And he wonders if she would forgive him.
Margie narrowed her eyes and stared at Jules for a long time. "I believe you." She mumbled. "But you need to make it up to her. She is hurting, Jules."
Jules sighed, "I doubt she wants to see my face right now."
Margie agreed with a nod, "I don't think so either."
They both were aware Janice would never accept him right away. But it would seem easier if she was less angry with him because talking with an angry Janice might make everything worse.
"I'll give her time," Jules mumbled. "I only hope she'll forgive me, even though I didn't do it on purpose."
Margie shrugged. "She would forgive you and you need to accept it was your fault as well. If you had been careful, I don't think you would have a child dumped on you or a nameless woman in bed with you."
Jules nodded. He had thought of the same thing as well. But he wondered if he could be that careful since his friends were good at setups.
