Chapter 25: Someone for you downstairs

The door opened quickly and slammed behind us as I arrived at Blair's home. What had happened I had decided to stay at her place for the night, knowing that Alpha Anton will be staying with this land for tonight. If I had stayed at Dr. Annie's home who knows what would have gone on within my room. I probably would be conceiving his pups right now.

I ran upstairs disappointed in myself by what I had allowed my ex to do. I wanted a clean start and now I was allowing him to know that I still had something from him, he won't ever leave me now. I took off my shoes and lay on the bed angrily.

"I can't believe what he did," I argued pissed off. "I'm sorry he ruins things for us tonight," I apologized to Blair. "Tomorrow, I'm going to have to apologize to Kyle for leaving him without letting him now," I began to worry.

"It's okay," Blair said as she sat beside me, trying to comfort me. "I'm sure Kyle will understand your ex alpha mate for he will soon be an alpha one day," Blair told me which started to make me feel a little better.

I nodded and covered my head with one of her pillows.

"Anyways, you didn't tell me that your ex alpha mate was so freaking hot and buff," I heard Blair said surprisingly.

I removed the pillow from my head quite stunned at her behavior now.

"He makes all the alpha I once saw here for a meeting look like nothing, he's so freaking hot, Nala."

I rolled my eyes irritated by her.

"My gosh, he is very hot and handsome," she kept on praising the physical feature of Alpha Anton. "And he looks like he as a hell of a weapon between his thighs."

"Blair!" I yelled at her wanting her to stop.

"Sorry," she apologized as she laughed. "I just can't get out the image of him out my head of how very attractive he is." "When you were with him at the corner of the building it looks like you still have something for him though," Blair suggested.

"Enough," I said to her and finally she listened to me.

The night I couldn't sleep. I was very embarrassed by how foolishly I behaved around Alpha Anton. I was so angry at him and too at myself. I began to imagine if he had broken into my house before I left with Kyle something worse could have happened between him and me. With all the constant worrying and thinking I had finally managed to get some sleep.

"Do you want me to make you a cup of tea before leaving for work?" Blair inquired me.

"No, I'm fine," I answered her as I made my hair into a bun.

"Okay," Blair said as she went back downstairs.

We were a bit early for work for today and so we had plenty of time to do whatever we needed to do before leaving.

"Nala," Blair again came upstairs to me. I turned away from the mirror to look at her.

"Someone is here to see you," she told me.

Hearing what she had I suddenly began to get nervous.

"Is it my ex-downstairs?" I inquired her.

She nodded. "It's Kyle, he wants to see you, now," she told me.

I was very relieved it was not Alpha Anton. Today was a new day and I can't bother to handle his stubborn, possessive, and obsessive ways with me now. I just didn't have the strength to deal with him now. Still, I was a bit startled that Kyle was here.

"Does he looks upset over last night?" I inquired Blair worried.

"I don't know, perhaps you should go and see what he as to say," Blair told me.

"No," I said not wanting to go. Deep down I feel like he is very upset about last night and probably here to scold me for running off after dealing with Alpha Anton and worst not telling him.

"Tell him I'm late for work," I told Blair to lie.

"Sorry, I won't lie to my future alpha," Blair said to me.

"Okay, fine, I'll be down within a minute," I told Blair.

Blair nodded and left. As she did, I began to walk around the room, nervously while I imagine Kyle shouting at me downstairs for making him look like a fool. Before going towards him I took a long deep breath and exhale heavily trying to approach him confidently. Slowly I exited the room heading downstairs. Blair was at the end of the stairs waiting on me.

"He's in the living room," Blair informed me like he was his security suddenly.

I nodded and took my time going to him. Kyle's head was turned as he sat comfortably waiting on me. His head turned as he noticed I was now within the living room, and he stood up. Within his beautiful hazel eyes, he looked like he barely slept last night. I began to worry if the issue between the alpha and I was the problem. Kyle was attired in a white t-shirt that looked whiter than the cloud and grey sweatpants with dark sneakers. He looked good as always.

"Good morning," I greeted him. He nodded.

"I'm sorry about what had happened last night," I sadly apologized to him as I turned my head away from his, disappointed in myself.

"I wish you'd told me that you belong to an alpha, Luna Nala," Kyle said to me respectively and now referring to me by a title.

My head turned to him right away.

"I'm no Luna and I'm no longer with Alpha Anton," I corrected him. "I rejected him, and he just can't seem to move on without me."

"Which wolf would want to me on without you by their side," Kyle said to me softly.

I gazed into his hazel eyes hard at what he had said, and he too did the same, staring back into my dark brown eyes. It's like our inner spirit was secretly speaking to each other preventing our wolves from hearing it.

Kyle broke our stare and cleared his throat and my head turned away from his again, but shyly

"It's good to know you'll be available for another date with me tonight," I heard Kyle said. My head turned to face him, and I blushed at what he had said. My head soon lowered, blushing like crazy. I was quite relieved that Kyle took what had happened last night so lightly. I guess he wasn't as arrogant as alpha Anton. I admired something new and first of him other than his attractive physical feature.

"So, is that a yes, Dr. Nala?" Kyle inquired me, eager to know if I had accepted to go on another date with him.

My eyes went back to his and I stared into his wondering if I should accept his offer after my ex had ruined our first date.

"Yes," I answered him.

"So, later this evening and only us and no other company," he told me.

"Yes," I said to him with a smile.

Kyle walked up to me, and he reached for my right hand and gently carried my hand to his lips, and kissed it. His lips felt like a warm glass of milk.

"Same time and I promise you I won't be late."

I nodded.

Kyle said his goodbyes and went off. I watched him as he left, seeing he wasn't the awful person I thought him to be. He seemed like a gentleman.
