Chapter 26: Decisions
** Nala's P.O.V

"What had happened?" Blair ran into the living room inquiring me curiously.
"I have another date with Kyle tonight," I answered her. "And this time I'm alright with it. "Oh, it's just us alone too."
"Okay," Blair answered. "So, what are you going to do if your ex again should show up and this time goes all alpha on Kyle for taking you out again?"
"He's probably heading back to his land by now," I told Blair.
"Well, okay," Blair said to me. "Don't say I didn't warn you."
"You don't need to," I lashed out at her. "I move here for a clean start in getting away from him, I'm not going to let him ruin things for me here as well." I walked off.
"Who says he's the only one making things hard for you or so you think," Blair said dubiously.
I paused by what she had said and turned around to face her at once.
"What do you mean?" I inquired her puzzled.
'"Oh.., I don't need to tell, you already know."
"Then why would I be asking?" I inquired Blair with a stern face. Blair just stands there staring at me wanting me to somehow know what she is talking about.
"You know what I have no time to deal with what you have running around in your brain like I can somehow read your mind," I complained as I began on my way upstairs.
"I'm talking the way I saw you look at him," I heard Blair say. "You still have feeling for him, and he knows it that's why he won't leave you alone."
"We have work to get to," I said to Blair, running upstairs. I didn't want to hear anything she had to say to me.
"And the way you allowed him to kiss you at the corner of the building," Blair said to me, stopping me at the first step upstairs. I turn around facing her right away, surprised that she saw us. I thought she didn't.
Blair's hand folded as she stared at me with a look that say, you can't fool me, you know you still have feelings for him.
"You can get yourself ready for work but as a friend who is very concern for you, I hope you don't mess up your life talking to someone else when you know your heart belongs to another," Blair told me.
Saying what she had to say, Blair walked away. I remained to stand there, and I began to contemplate on what she had said.
"I know what I’m doing," I said softly. "I'm going for a clean start."
I entered Blair's room and took a small book she was kind to lend me. When I came to her house last night, I had nothing except the clothes I had on my back to stay the night. Blair was kind to lend me, a blue working blouse, a pants, and a shoe. I took another look at myself in the mirror and fix my bun. Soon Blair and I were leaving the house and, on our way, to work.
Today was another weekend, Sunday and so we'll be working off day. When we got to work, Blair and I was quite surprised to see Dr. Annie already there again, like yesterday, within her office, but instead, she was alone.
"Good morning," we both greeted her.
Blair went to her working station in attending to our patients on their way in, and I, as always stayed in the office with Dr. Annie.
"I came to check on you last night to see if you were okay," Dr. Annie said to me as I went for my white coat. "But you weren't there."
"I was at Blair's home," I told her as I put on my coat. I didn't want to worry her about last night and so I just keep my answer simple, which wasn't a lie anyways.
"Oh...," she answered, as her head remained steady within the file she was going through. "So, you have been staying there from the day I have been gone?" Dr. Annie inquired me.
"No," I answered her. "Just whenever I feel the need to and feel a bit lonely at home," I told her.
"That's why you need a companion, Nala...," Dr. Annie told me, as she turned to face me.
"I know," I said to her as I put on my coat.
"I don't want you to know, I want you to do something about it and start dating a wolf."
"I am," I answered her.
Dr. Annie got up from the chair surprised at what I had said.
"When have you been seeing him and who?" Dr. Annie inquired me, curiously with a smiley face.
"Well, he asked me out yesterday and I'm going on a date with him at a restaurant tonight," I told Dr. Annie. Again, I kept my answer short and simple, not wanting her to know that it wasn't the first time I was going out with him that is until my ex ended it for us before we could get to know each other.
"That's nice, but who is he?!" Dr. Annie inquired me eager to know.
"Kyle," I told her.
"Kyle, the future alpha of this land?" Dr. Annie inquired me, surprisingly.
I nodded.
Dr. Annie's eyes widen and soon a large smile appears on her face.
"I'm so happy for you," she told me.
"Thank you," I acknowledge.
"But, come here," she called me closer to her.
"I'm really happy that you're interested in having a wolf within your life but Kyle, I don't think he is a good option for an innocent wolf like you," Dr. Annie told me. "He's dated she-wolves more than he breathes and break up with them, I just want you to be careful."
I nodded, understanding that Dr. Annie cared for me like a mom would have and she was just worried about me getting hurt.
I walked away from Dr. Annie to find some tasks to do waiting for a patient to finally show up.
"Nala," she stopped me.
"Yes," I turned around answering her.
"If everything goes well with you, do you see yourself having sex with him?" Dr. Annie inquired me curiously.
"Well, yes," I gave her an honest answer. "I mean I don't see why."
"Okay, just make sure you don't allow him to cum inside of you, just for the sake of not having a unplan pregnancy." "I've seen too much she-wolves with pups they didn't even want as yet and I don't want that for you, Nala."
"Cum?" I repeated. I know about sex that it involves both the male and female reproductive parts but the word that Dr. Annie told me; I knew nothing about. I started to feel shame that I didn't know that, and I was a doctor.
"Sperm," Dr. Annie told me.
"Oh," I said as I laughed, realizing it was another word used for that.
Dr. Annie laughed along with me as well.
"So, while you're making love just make sure you remind him not to let his sperm into you and discharge it before he does again enter you.
I nodded and went to do some filing. It was quite uncomfortable talking to Dr. Annie about this, but I was thankful in the end that she informed me of these things. I wanted a relationship but a child, I was nowhere ready for.
The day was pretty slow. The patient we had I could count them only on one hand. Soon, it was time to leave. Dr. Annie had already left. I took up my notebook and Blair and I left heading home.
"Blair, can you follow me to purchase some clothes?" I inquired her along the way.
"What about the clothes your ex bought for you?" she inquired me.
"I don't want to wear any of his clothes again on a date with Kyle," I answered her.
"True, last night was pretty awkward since I was in the clothes, he bought as well along with a shoe," Blair said to me. "Anyways, I'll be happy to."
"Good, just let me get some cash at home and then we can go shopping."
Blair followed me home. She waited downstairs as I headed upstairs to get some cash. I slowly opened my bedroom door and peeked inside to see if Alpha Anton was somehow here hiding. I didn't see him. I hurriedly entered my room and quickly opened the closet he used to hide in. Thankfully he wasn't there either. I took some cash from my handbag and began to leave. As I was about to, I saw a folded white paper on my bed with a heart. Knowing I didn't leave anything like that on my bed. I took it up. It was Alpha Anton. I immediately opened it curious about what he was up to now.
Dear my only Luna, the letter started. After the most wonderful thing that happened between us last night, that beautiful kiss. I wish I could stay here longer to allow you that you still care for me as much as I love you, but something came up and I had to return to my pack. When things calm down, I'll come to see you; love your one true mate, alpha Anton, ended the letter.
He had the nerves to end the letter like that. I angrily crushed up the letter and threw it into the small bin within my room. I just wanted to forget him and there was no way I was going to take him back. I must just keep burying the feelings I still have for him and hope that it fades away like an aftertaste after eating something delicious.
"I'm ready," I told Blair as I headed downstairs.
Blair exits the living room and we both left the house heading to the mall.
"So, what type of clothes do you plan to purchase for tonight?" Blair inquired me.
"I don't know," I answered her, "Probably I'll just buy something I see myself in and like.
We both were soon turning around the corner of a large building in heading to the store which was five minutes away. We passed five men as we did.
"Hey sexy ladies," two of them greeted us. The group of men traveling together seemed like players who was not ashamed to conceal their true nature. I held Blair's hand and walked away quickly pulling her beside me not wanting to deal with them. The attitude of calling us sexy ladies and calling for us to turn around. It disgusted Blair and me.
"Hey, do you think you're better than us, bitch!" one of the men yelled at me hating that I was pulling Blair behind me just to get away from them.
I didn't answer him. Blair and I just continued to walk holding our heads straight.
"Don't you there ignore me when I'm talking to you, whores!" the same wolf yelled. I glanced behind me scared of his behaviour and there I saw him walking quickly behind us.
"Run!" I told Blair as I let go of her hand. Blair and I were soon running to get away from the creeps. Not looking where I was going, I run into Kyle. He held me before I almost collided into him.
"Why are you running?" he inquired me worried as he held me by both of my shoulders.
I turned around and there I saw the man still heading towards us; as he saw I was with Kyle he stopped, terrified. He spun around and began to run. Kyle's hands quickly went away from me and swiftly he ran to the man chasing after him. Blair ran behind him, as he saw him gain upon the man in no time to see what will happen to him. I stood still worried.
"He caught the creep, Nala!" Blair yelled to me.
As Kyle did, I saw him carrying the men straight to me. He threw him on the ground onto his knees as he did.
"What must you say to this young she-wolf," Kyle inquired him as he stepped into his back hard. His face landed into the rough ground as he did.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he repeated.
"Good," Kyle said. "And let not this happen again."
"Yes, future alpha," the man responded.
As Kyle removed his right foot off the man's back, he kicked him, sending him straight into the wall of the building. The man got up and ran like hell. I was so stunned by what Kyle did for me, that I just couldn't help staring at him, at that moment I felt like I was falling for him.
"Are you alright?" Kyle inquired me.
I just nodded and soon I began to find myself blushing.
"Thank you," I appreciated his kindness towards me.
I slowly began to turn around, leaving him.
"Nala," Kyle stopped me.
"I'm quite happy to see you," he said to me.
I smiled.
"About tonight I want to take you to a family dinner instead, this evening at 5pm," he told me.
"Okay," I answered him.
Kyle nodded and said his goodbyes leaving me.
Blair was at the back, waiting on me. I turned around heading to her.
"What was Kyle saying to you?" Blair inquired me.
"He wants to take me to a family dinner this evening instead," I told her.
Blair stopped surprised at what I had said.
"He really seemed to like you," Blair said to me. "He fought to protect you today and he's even carrying you to meet his family so fast, which he never does with any she-wolves, he just carries them to his place and fucked them and that's all.
I felt so special discovering that I was the first girl he was interested in bringing to meet his family, that I wanted us to be more after our date. We both reached the store and entered ready to find clothes to wear. Blair suggested a simple yellow dress that wasn't too showy since I'll be around his parent, the Luna, and the alpha. Blair found one that fits me very well and I picked out a brown flat slippers to go with it.
"If you find yourself arouse by how well he's treating you this evening and he comes onto you if you’re both ever alone, I think you should go for it, for he seemed to like you a lot," Blair told me.
"You mean sleep with him?" I inquired her.
Blair nodded.
"No, I want my first time to be special," I told her.
"Your first time should be with your mate but you're not together anymore, I don't see why you shouldn't allow Kyle to be your first, since he seems to be really into you.
I nodded and we both went to the cashier to pay for my outfits. What Blair said was true. I strongly believe my first time should be with my mate, but we're not together, so, I guess why not fool around with Kyle. For he seemed to not be the terrible wolf I thought him to be. All I must do now, is make sure sex with him is always safe.
